It's a cute little nostalgic shop. When I found the hot dog shop in a strip mall on route 8, I was expecting something different. I thought maybe hot dogs as thick as Nathan's or casting hot dogs like the Original hot dog, nope simple hot dogs from the grocery store you cook at home on regular hot dog buns, but it was average nothing totally unexceptional. The walls were decorated in dog paws and an artist's drawing of cartoon dogs. They have other sandwiches also and a special orange gravy sauce. I would recommend take out a few seats inside but it is a huge neighborhood favorite.

In town for a family service and my best friend is insistent on eating here while in town. Ordered a hot dog and gravy fry. The hot dog itself was ok, but the chili was nasty. I understand the onions on it, but why the spear pickle on a chili dog??? That just made matters worse! Gravy fries were ok. When you get your act together with the chili dog, you can... Loved the hotdogs! Chili tasted awesome. Very similar to the original butler hotdog shoppe. Small dining area but very welcoming. Staff were very nice. Tried the orange gravy. With no reference to how it should taste I enjoyed it on my order of fries. Tasty. I stop here every time I'm in town. This is one of my happy places.

However... for the price, there should be no complaints. Their burgers, I have to say, are one of the best i've had. The homemade chili sauce they have for the dogs and burgers was awesome, too! And their fries? AWESOME! Fresh cut, crunchy, and just delicious. The only thing I did not like was the cheese sauce they used for the fries. It tasted processed, and like it was found from a jar of cheez wiz from the 1980's. Another compliment to the business goes to the older gentleman who I assumed was the manager. He was extremely friendly, and was very courteous and involved in making sure the customers were happy.

Dollar store hotdogs probably taste better. These were deplorable. Mushy and cheap quality. I couldn't believe it. The chilli was even worst than the hotdogs. Fries were even bad. Service was very rude and rushed. They have no reason to be cocky when their food isn't fit to serve a pet goat. NEVER AGAIN!

From the moment I walked in, the owners greeted me and immediately walked me through the whole process. The menu is extensive, but they explained it all and were more than happy to take any other questions. You can tell these two love what they do with so much fun hot dog decor on every wall, Springdale High School gear draping the walls, and such creative and honor for their craft of delivering top notch food to their community! I ordered the Kansas City Chief Hot Dog, the Elote Hot Dog, and a side of Notorious RBC fries!! I added on a Turners Tea and a pack of Chocolate Crinkle cookies!! Let me just say... ILLL BE BACKKK again and again!! I got the order to go and they individually packed my ranch and my lime so that I could dress the items when I was ready to eat. The Kansas City Chief was amazing. Sauerkraut and Thousand Island bubbling out of the bun... but just that snap of the hot dog and perfect bun to hold all of the culinary chaos in. The Elote Hot Dog was just like you'd want. The lime juice popping off with the fresh sweet corn and spices!! The Notorios RBC should definitely be notorious such flavor with the ranch, bacon, chili, and cheese but the fresh French fries held up and had crisp crunch throughout. Turners Iced Tea in a carton.... That's just true yinzer code! And the cookiessss... it really was a brookie and mannnn it was decadent and moist... almost as if they baked them just that morning!! The price is soooo reasonable. The vibe is Pittsburgh dive. The food will knock your socks off! Hot dog. Hot dog. Hot diggity dog!!!

There are additional shaded tables outside, too. The staff is very friendly, and made us feel welcome. One menu item included a trio of mac & cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw. If you are a vegetarian, you will likely be able to find something to eat here. We will definitely stop back here if we're in the area again!

First of all the parking lot was jammed pack (which is normally a good sign food is delicious). I'm a sucker for foot longs and not someone claiming foot longs and instead it's just 2 hot dogs. It was a good sauce, not my favorite chili sauce but it was a yummy sauce. My husband loved it! There curly fries aren't like your normal curly fries they are fresh cut, so they are thinner for a crispier fry. I'm not a fan of fresh cut fries but I didn't realize it would be. All in all I would definitely recommend and definitely plan on going back. Believe or not it's actually a cheap place! I absolutely suggest you go!

The restaurant is fairly dated but that gives it some charm. The parking lot and access is fairly crammed in a the commerical area of Cranberry. We were hungry and went a little overboard with our order. We tried the hot dogs, burgers, fries, pastachilli and drinks. We sat at the counter and our waitress was awesome, a typical character - which is what I love about the Pittsburgh area. She stayed on us throughout our experience and helped us through the unknown as most people here looked like seasoned vets. I really enjoyed the burger, the fresh cut fries and their chilli sauce. The burger patty was thin and similar to smash burgers. My wife raved about the pastachilli which was just fusilli pasta smothered in their chilli sauce. Soda even came in souvenir plastic drink cups which we happily took. Even better -- our bill for 3 was $35 plus tip. We left more than full and had a great trip. If you like hot dog joints then you can't miss this one.
