Needs new management! Very slow service and food was not very good. Took 1 hour for us to get appetizers and the nachos were not even fully cooked. Multiple tables around us were not very happy with their experience either. Just your typical frozen food, nothing out of the ordinary. read more

Been coming to CB for 20 years. Great place to drink a beer on the deck. Butte 66 has always had average food, but after going today I'll never go back. Food prices have doubled, and the quality was terrible. Paid $26 for a "fresh" salad and it came out looking 3 weeks old and had a curly black hair on it. Not to mention, it's $12 for a TINY cup of Mac & cheese. read more

Excellent food, excellent service and they were very sweet to our dog. The Hog was delicious as were the kids burger and wings.

Butte 66 gets 5 stars for location. The bar serves good drinks (4*), and the food is just fine (3*). Service is hit-and-miss (3*), so don't be in a hurry if you're eating, but you can't beat the view! read more

Good place to take a break from skiing and grab lunch. Good reuben and great tomato soup. The service is average and what a great view of the mountain. Great front patio too for hanging out. Definitely a place to check out while on the mountain with out having to tavel into town. read more

We came here for a quick bite before a hike and it was great. We were the only ones at the bar and the bartender was super nice. I had a bloody Mary and it was good and spicy. Don't eat on the mountain - eat at Butte 66! Service is fast, prices are in line with on mountain dining, and tastes a whole heck of a lot better! Portions are ample. My family of four went in for lunch on Saturday - liked it so much that we went back for lunch on Sunday! Place does get busy, so if you don't go in early, expect to wait for a table. I ordered Salmon sandwich, highly recommend, delicious!! Husband and son ordered BLT, both agreed that there was tons of bacon! Other son ordered mac-n-cheese creamy, smoky and meaty. Next day we shared a couple of plates of nachos after seeing them the day before - yum! Shakes are pricey for the size, but delicious. read more

My husband and I had lunch here today. I had the chopped salad, he had the beef brisket and the double chocolate Russian. I loved my salad and my husband said the beef was good and the drink was excellent. The prices are very reasonable for a table service restaurant Slopeside. You easily pay the same prices for cafeteria food at a ski resort. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. I would recommend it. Great views of the slopes! read more

Came for lunch - called it dinner by the time the food got here. Then they got the order wrong. How about your kids ordering 3 cokes with lunch and they never get them? IF you have 2 hrs for a simple lunch and are not in a hurry - sure. Problem is they are always under staffed. They can seat you, great. Then the waiting game begins. This is not the first time. Not sure why we came back but sitting here frustrated as hell with hungry whining kids is not what I want. Plenty of other options on the mountain. Choose another place. The worst! We waited close to an hour for 3 burgers. Had to go in to find a waiter to see what the holdup was. 10 minutes later waiter comes out & still doesn't know ETA of food. He went back in and brought out chips & salsa stating that the staff is still recovering from last night -- they had to work until 10. Don't go there. First we sat down and it took 10 minutes for a waiter to ask us for drinks. The food took 45 minutes to come out. On top of this, when the food finally arrived it was cold and bad quality, almost like microwaved food. read more

After reading the negative reviews I was a little hesitant to come here but I am glad I did. The views are great and the service was very good. No complaints at all there. We didn't eat much but we did have the smoked wings and WOW! they were amazing. We had to ask for 2 more orders. Perfect spot. Watch skiers while you enjoy some fare that is way beyond what you might expect. Try the chili, with chunks of brisket. Delicious. We also really loved the jalapeño poppers. We had a very bad experience today. Order a cup of soup, pulled chicken sandwich and tater tots. Waited over an hour. No food. George, bar tender waiter, said he would submit order to expedite. We declined and asked for a refund as meal had been charged. NO REFUND. They said their system was down and to come back in a few hours. Do not go there! read more

Run while you can; the only good thing is the view. It's noisy, terrible acoustic with loud music; overpriced, make that highway robbery; bad service if at all, can't get the order right after 2 tries; food was burnt, sauces passable at best, I wouldn't feed it to my dog. The only reason they might still be in business is because unsuspecting travelers have no clue. The best food near there is downtown in the valley 10 min away, not up in Mt Crested Butte. read more

Perfect après ski with great service but it's totally overpriced compared to everywhere else on the mountain and in town.

We had lunch here twice. It's very conveniently located at the base of the mountain, and we had solid service at both meals. The tomato soup is great and they have mastered the crispy tater tot. I have been on the restaurant business for over 12 years.... this place needs to get it together. We will never be back and we come to Crested Butte twice a year. Would be a one star except the the service at the bar is pretty good. My advice is get a seat at the bar or go somewhere else. First time we went in was fine. Service was slow but ok and the food was pretty good. We went two more times and after waiting 20 min at a table for a waiter ended up at the bar both times. We even asked servers and other employees to send someone over but nobody ever came. Food is just ok here, certainly nothing special. It does have a nice deck though and the daily drink specials are ok. If you want something quick to get back on the slopes then this is not the place I would choose. read more
