I stayed in early August 2022 and I look forward to staying again in the future! I booked a night on the tail end of a two week road trip. It was a perfect cap to an amazing trip! Kerry and Brandon, the owners, are truly lovely people, as is their son. Kerry gave me a whole tour of the building with the local history and describe plans for future upgrades (all of which sounded amazing). I stayed in the Cedar Mountain room which had an ac unit - greatly appreciated as we were in heat wave and air quality was awful due to smoke from the McKinney fire. The shower had great water pressure and the hygiene products were locally made. The bed was amazing - with quality sheets, a comfortable mattress and cozy blankets! I was fortunate enough to have Kerry cook me both dinner and breakfast - both delicious (not to mention the fresh baked coffee cake she sliced and sent with me when I left)! Before hitting the road, Kerry told me of some local spots to check out - totally worth the detour! I enjoyed every minute of my stay and I look forward to seeing what Kerry and Brandon have been up to the past year!

Amazing... We showed up at 10:00 pm and Jeff greeted us with some Jameson whiskey and some great stories. He has a beautiful backyard with a hot tub and garden. Such a great guy and place to stay! Will stay again next year on our way from LA.

Jeff and our little one made fast friends

We called ahead to let them know that we would be arriving late at night (please call them if you plan to check in after 8 pm) and the owner was nice enough to keep the motel room open for us. Our beds were very comfortable and the blankets were warm. The toilets are clean with hot water. There is wifi but we didn't have the password. There are a few picnic tables outside. The main lodge where the office is located has a dining area where you have access to a continental breakfast (toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, etc), and a community room which has a TV, pool table and the friendly family dogs. The whole set up is a family run business, which brings a sense of groundedness and kindness. Lava Beds is just a 15 min drive. Tule Lake wildlife refuge is just across the road. We booked this lodge because it was the only option but after having stayed here, I definitely recommend choosing them if you plan to spend a night or two in Tulelake.

Needless to say it will continue to be our place to stay for opening weekend for the years to come. Loyal and his wife were very friendly and there are all kinds of amenities the lodge has to offer including, but not limited to a large lounge room with pool table, large TV, couches, as well as ice machine, and breakfast and dinnner meals. All for only $90/night. Highly recommend to anyone passing through the area.

While there are plenty of tables, the staff is unable to get people seated for at least 25 minutes. Then once seated it is another 15 minutes wait to order breakfast. Additionally, during one of the busiest time of the year on Memorial Day weekend, the hotel is being remodeled. Right in front of our room was so noisy as they were scrapping the floors and installing carpet, the noise lasted until 1 AM. Then work started again at around 630 AM again the next day. At one point I personally asked the workers to quiet down because reporting the noise to the front desk was ineffective. While convenient because it is located right off the freeway, be prepared to wait and wait and wait at this place.
