I understand an hour to an hour half wait. But when you order a medium Guinness burger with no onions and naked, why does it come with onions??? Not only on the burger under the cheese but I think maybe fried onions with the sweet potato fries. And when I said something the new Guinness burger without onions was not cooked to medium temperature. I guess it was rushed and not cooked properly. Our go-to spot for burgers as it is one of the few places in the area where you can get a burger made from fresh meat instead of a frozen patty. The burgers are consistently good; we have had the Guiness, Southwest and the Mediterranean, and enjoyed them all. The salads are good as well. This place had a 45 minute wait and we waited 43 minutes before we were seated. That was nice knowing the time given was almost dead on. We were greeted quickly and had our drinks within the first 5 minutes of sitting down. However, once we ordered we never saw our waitress again. Our food came, our drinks were empty and she never checked in on us. She walked by our table multiple times and we tried to get her attention by politely raising our hands and saying excuse me multiple times in passing. It was so frustrating that we had to obnoxiously wave our hand at her when she was walking right past our table and then she finally stopped. By that time we had finished our meals and just wanted a refill on our drinks. The food was good...nothing amazing but the service definitely fell short. There food was very good and the service was even better. Waitress kept up with drink refills without asking and was constantly checking up. We ordered burgers and their selection alone for your type of meat was a nice surprise. You can choose meat, turkey, veggie option, salmon or bison. They are definitely fresh. My cousin and I walked our 84 year old moms up the ramp. Even though a door to the inside dining was 10 feet away...we could not enter there. We were told we had to go back down the ramp, around the block, and up two flights of stairs. When my aunt tried to express how hard that was, she was patronized. You will find the meatloaf extremely tasty and and the pizza will not let you down either. We took my 83 year old mother there for Mother's day...they have only outside ramps for handicapped visitors. The way the seating was arranged, there was no way to access the food without using stairs to get to the buffet. I didn't realize in this year there are still restaurants that think they do not have to comply with the handicapped regulations. I was very disappointed in the situation. The manager offered to get her food for her, but she could not even select the items she wanted because once she was on the lower level, she could not get back up to view the selections.....I guess this is a place to avoid if you use wheelchairs, cruchs, walker or have any other handicap that does not allow for full mobility. read more

A friend & I walked in this past Saturday night. We were greeted & told it would be awhile for a table. It was, but we were in no hurry. We sat @ the bar for short while, looking at menu, had a couple ice waters, left bar tender a tip. We chatted w/female GM at desk. After being seated in the first half-moon booth we ordered the cucumber martini. Strong, but delish. We shared a butternut squash salad which was good. I really enjoyed the calamari app. We chatted again with the GM who came over to our table. Our server who will be turning 21 soon was very cool & she laughed right along with my friend & I. We ordered the chocolate bread pudding dessert, it was ok. Not "my sort" of dessert. So my friend orders the apple cobbler that came served in a Ball jar w/vanilla ice cream & we ate that as well. I want to preface my review by stating that I am not a fussy eater... Visiting Peddler's Village yearly, my friend and I decided to try the new Buttonwood Grill. To begin with, the menu was very lacking and most of the selections available had ingredients added that made the dishes totally unappetizing, like horseradish. My friend thought she would be safe with chicken/potato soup, and I got a cheese/garlic/pesto pizza. When the soup was brought out it was barely half a bowl and didn't even include a single saltine cracker on the side. She said it was greasy and you could see the grease floating on top of the broth. I FLINCHED when I saw my pizza because it looked like a target on a shooting range!! The green pesto was squirted on top of the pizza cheese in circles and looked totally bizarre and unappetizing. Being an artist by trade, I am very open-minded when it comes to unusual design but this sight was totally apalling! The pizza itself was not good either. The sauce tasted like hunts tomato sauce out of a can with that "sourish" flavor. Our server was okay, but we will NEVER set foot in this disasterous place again. Take it from us, if you EAT AT HART'S TAVERN you won't go wrong. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS RESTAURANT!! read more

I was excited about trying a new restaurant for Easter Brunch, but was disappointed. Some of the food was good and some not so good. there was nothing extraordinary about anything we ate. I was surprised there were no bagels at a brunch. I don't think there was enough variety of food. When I received my check, they charged me for my son who was suppose to be free and I was charged $1 additional for each person. They corrected the charged for my son with no problem. The $1 extra for each additional person was corrected, but they acted like they were doing me a favor. They said that there was a typo on their website. NOT MY PROBLEM. read more

Buttonwood Grill is in the location where Sweet Lorraine's occupied at Peddler's Village. There is no comparison, Sweet Lorraine's was MUCH better. Our server was very nice, so I have no complaints about her at all. The kitchen seemed slow, but it was a busy afternoon, so the wait was understandable. Where this place lacks is the food. The kid's menu states the meals come with carrot sticks and ranch dip, that never appeared. My daughter ordered pasta with butter and parm cheese, with a side of broccoli. The pasta had a sprinkling of parm cheese and the broccoli was barely cooked and was bland due to lack of seasoning. My husband got the fish tacos with a side order of coleslaw. The coleslaw was awful and he referred to the fish tacos as appetizer sized. I got the Buttonwood, with a side of sweet potato fries. The Buttonwood is essentially a French dip, sliced roast beef and provolone. But they add cherry peppers in between the meat. Unfortunately, the were unseeded and cut in big chunks, which left my esophagus burning until dessert. It had a bowl of french onion jus, which was nothing like the normal stuff that comes with a sandwich like this. It was orangy brown in color and tasted like unseasoned onion soup. The sweet potato fries cost $1extra, but they were tasty and worth it. Dessert was the nail in the coffin for my family-expensive and small. I got the chocolate bread pudding, which was smaller in size than what we were shown on the dessert tray. However, it was awesome! Not your traditional bread pudding, this was made with cubes of fudgy chocolate cake and topped with vanilla ice cream. It is the only thing I would recommend from our experience. My husband got tiramisu, which was slightly deconstructed, and again small. My daughter's dessert was the strangest-the choices that come with the kid's meal were ice cream, mud pudding cup, and a chocolate dipped rice crispie treat, she chose the last option. It was made from a higher end, possibly brown rice cereal held together with honey or agave, not marshmallow. There was no chocolate anywhere on the plate. And on the side, was some odd tasting and lumpy whipped cream, which I would not allow her to eat because I thought it might have been spoiled. When we paid, it was $76 after the tip. We walked through Peddler's Village actually discussing how bad it was and how much we wished we had spent that money elsewhere. It got 2 stars from me because of the chocolate bread pudding and the waitress, otherwise I would have given this a 1. If you loved Sweet Lorraine's, eating at Buttonwood Grill will only make you miss it more. read more

We love Peddler's and our last visit, right before Christmas, was a truly awesome time. The lights, the smells, everything in Peddler's was just like I remember as a kid. We decided to try Buttonwood instead of Cock and Bul this round. Long wait time, but we walked around for a bit first. Nice place, clean modern decor. They have a GREAT selection of beers on tap. The menu is moderately priced American cuisine with some interesting sounding dishes. I ordered a monte cristo with smoked turkey and apples and my wife ordered one of their burgers. We both loved our meal. Looking forward to our next trip up. Next time I will try the butternut squash hummus, recommended to me by our server, who was very nice. read more

Dogs are welcomed all over the peddlers village area and in the shops, however, if you think you can take the little fella to eat here in their outdoor area you are mistaken. Its the only restaurant who has outdoor seating but will turn you away even when half the seating area is available. Our family went for my husband's birthday last night. We were all disappointed on several levels. First, the place looked unkept with food on the floor from previous guests. It was extremely loud inside, however the outside patio looked nice but we were unable to be seated there. My husband and I had a martini - no garnishment and when we asked for olives, the waitress brought them on a paper napkin and they looked like they had been through a war-creased and wrinkled! The menu is pretty limited. We started with calamari which was decent but too many tentacle pieces. The cheese, spinach crab dip and chips was just okay. My son's pepperoni pizza was dripping in grease and needed several napkins to soak it up. My husband's chicken was dry and flavorless. I had the ribs which were good but at the highest priced dinner (15.50) it was disappointing to get about 6-7 small ribs, warm coleslaw and a ton of fries. What a presentation! Because my daughter and I wanted a light lunch, we ordered a 1/2 lb cheeseburger to split. We each got a tasty half burger served on a 1 inch cutting board with lettuce, tomato, and onion, and a whole pickle. We ordered the dill potato salad which was delicious, and asked for another side of fries. The fries were crispy, fresh, and plentiful &only $3! The drinks were potent but not overwhelming. The service was great. Best part: we walked out and then 20 min later decided that we needed to use the restroom. We walked back into the restaurant explaining that we already had lunch here but could we please use the facilities. Went here for the first time and it was wretched!! I ordered the onion rings for staters and it came out like it was dipped in motor oil. Could of greased my car with it!!! For the main course ordered the cheeseburger with french fries. Cheeseburger was okay, however the french fries had the same symptoms of the onion rings. Greasy as anything!!! The manager came over to the table who appared to just get out of grade school and very unprofessional, lacking basic mgmt skills, relayed- the french fries are always like that. Really!! My wife and I ordered the Crabby artichocke dip... should be renamed soggy tasteless wilted spinach in a caserole dish. I never send things back, it was unedible, not an ounce of crab.
