Unfortunately, we were really disappointed to find out that they didn't have WNBA League Pass--even though the Dream vs. Mercury game was actually listed on their clipboard of sporting events for the day. So, we ended up sitting in a sports bar watching the game on our phones. That was probably the biggest disappointment of the visit. Walk-On's is a sports bar, and practically every TV was showing preseason NFL games. Those games don't even count toward the regular season, while the WNBA game we wanted to watch had actual playoff implications. I would really love to see Walk-On's invest in WNBA League Pass and give patrons the opportunity to watch women's sports too. Women's sports deserve space on the TVs in sports bars just like men's sports do. Everyone Watches Women's Sports. Thankfully, the food and service were good enough that we stayed and still had a great time. I ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos with chips and queso, and they were fabulous! My date ordered the redfish tacos and said they were amazing, and our friend had the gumbo. The crackers served with the gumbo tasted a little stale, but that was really our only complaint about the food. We all had drinks, our bartender was really cool, and overall it turned into a fun, spontaneous outing. We would definitely come back--but Walk-On's, get that WNBA League Pass! If you're going to be a sports bar, let us watch all the sports.

Owner/chef Lori is always walking around asking guests if everything is ok. On at least 2 occasions she happened to chat with me/my guest about some dietary restrictions & she whipped something up for us to try. My go-to dish is the harvest breakfast where you can pick 4 breakfast items from a list. This is a great way to sample more menu items. Here's my take on some of my favorites: - Sourdough pancakes are thin & really delicious. - Belgium Leige waffle is very sweet with the pearl sugar "nuggets" in them so taste them before you add a lot of syrup. - Scrambled eggs are well seasoned, not bland. - Avocado & tomato or the fresh fruit are nice light touches as one of the side item choices. - Fried chicken tenders are really good. Spice level 3 (medium) is not that spicy. It's flavorful. - Grilled chicken tenders are good. As much as I typically eat grilled or baked chicken, I allow myself to choose fried for these. - Grits are creamy. I get them with no cheese. I'm not a big grits person but I do like these! The menu is very extensive. It includes vegan, vegetarian, keto & gluten free. Is the breakfast a little pricey, the answer is "it's all relative." Sometimes it's just worth paying for a great meal. In case you haven't gotten the message, Harvest Kitchen is a must try. Do yourself a favor & have a visit. I'm betting it will stay on your list as a repeat eating spot!! Not too hot, definitely not cold, great flavor, strong coffee flavor, and not too sweet. There's also a wall of fancy teas that's definitely worth checking out. (See my photo.) Service was also good! My visit was during a weekday morning and no other patrons were inside. A completely empty restaurant is usually a cause for concern for me. Patty's is set up for orders at a counter in the back of dining room then take a number to the table for delivery. The dining room is very bright and simply decorated but spacious for a bistro. I ordered the Grandma's Morning Casserole and it was a solid 5/5 with great quality sausage and bacon. Everything about the dish is near perfect, especially the tasty crispy tater tots. My request for a croissant with the breakfast was honored and it was delicious. This gave me idea to check out more baked good from the showcase. I purchased a carrot cake to go and later wished I had bought two. The cake wasn't the traditional style with nuts and shredded carrots. Instead, the cake was the consistency of pound cake that came covered in a rich chocolate drizzled over the top. Perhaps, I got lucky with my first impression but I'm eager to give them another opportunity to repeat the great experience.

The cashier/barista Laura was so friendly and we enjoyed talking to her. You order at the counter, water is self service from a water station and the food is delivered to your table. I was here for Saturday brunch & got the "special omlette" with ham substituted for the prosciutto. The ham is deli-type ham. The omelette was very flavorful & tasty, however, definitely thinner than I am accustomed to eating. It did not come with any bread option or side item so make sure you look at the breakfast side items (only located on the Saturday/Sunday brunch menu, not the main menu) or ask about side items. I don't have a large appetite & I must admit I was still a little hungry. I inquired about bread after I finished & they offered to bring me some toast but I was already done eating. I had a bite of hubby's breakfast sausage & croissant. I'm not a big sausage person but the sausage tasted smoky with a hint of sweetness and it was yummy! The croissant was also buttery & good. I'd add that to my omelette order next time. Of course we had to try some sweets since there were so many options. We got the carrot cake; it's Brazilian style, which differs from the standard American version. The cake had carrots only, no nuts, a little less sweet, pound cake-like consistency and topped with chocolate. I enjoyed it! I also got a chocolate cake slice to-go. It's super rich with chocolate filling layers made with condensed milk. A bit too rich for me but I'm sure others will love it. They also have coffee drinks and they are setup to do the basics drinks (mocha latte, cappuccino, etc) without all the syrup flavors. I ordered a cortado. Although it is not on their menu, the barista gladly said she would try to do her best. I provided directions on the espresso to milk ratio for a cortado & she absolutely nailed it. The coffee was robust & without the traditional vanilla syrup available, a little brown sugar added made the drink great. I will definitely return. I'll try their lunch menu next time.
