Our first time here- what a gem!!!! So quaint! Loved the front porch! The decor was all cat themed and bright colors! Very comfy indoor seating and cute gift section! We got a to-go breakfast to eat at the beach- busy day ahead of us. We will stay and eat on the front porch next time! We ordered egg, cheese and meat sandwiches on "Hollah" bread. Sooo good and how'd they get everything stuffed into the bread?! It was like a big, puffy cloud filled with egg, cheese and meat (I got the bacon and hubby got the sausage). Wow. The quality of this place has declined substantially. Don't be fooled by the good reviews. My coffee was a cup of milk. I'm honestly not even sure they added espresso at all. The baristas need serious training. The lady checking us out seemed pretty unhappy to be there. The food was decent but not worth stopping for alone. So glad to find this shop in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. On our stay in the area, this was definitely a favorite. Being a hot day, we opted for frozen drinks. And I so appreciated they were willing to do a frozen latte, cream based, for my son. An order I don't think they get often...because who wants a latte without the espresso. Love that they are a local shop just doing great things. Staying busy and making the necessary adjustments for covid. Buzz cats We live 2 blocks from here. We go there on Wednesday and Sunday's when it's not too crowded. Why? Jesus I wish I knew. Buzzcats literally have no concept of customer service EVERY SINGLE TIME we have issues when we come here. Back to why I come. It's the only place around I can get a cinnamon roll with out driving 10 miles. Strange right? We always go inside order food then head to patio to eat. Today some new girl, who used to work here before & is back again, said we can only eat outside if we have a waitress. But we can order and eat inside with NO waitress. Ya ok. Whatever. I don't care who brings my food. So no biggie Waitress comes over, btw this is a walk up coffee and pastry shop with interior/exterior seating. So waitress takes order. We specifically say cinnamon roll with EXTRA FROSTING. cinnamon roll comes with virtually NO frosting. This is always a reoccurring theme with these people. At this point you know it's intentional. So I asked to send it back and please put frosting on it. Keep in mind that I'm mindful to be sweet and respectful to keep my food from being tampered with They bring it back and the frosting is cold which made the entire cinnamon roll cold. I take it inside and explain the cinnamon roll is now cold and could they warm it up. They take it and do whatever. I get it back and try to eat it. Of course it's so hot you burn yourself now. And on top of everything, it is rubbery. They literally turned the dough into a Michelin tire. The wife is now ready to blow a gasket over all the ineptness . And I'm trying to say it's no big deal. It's what we have come to expect from a place that caters to 90% tourist. They don't care if they piss them off because they won't see them again But locals, you're really hurting your base with the locals. Nice friendly staff and welcoming. There's seating inside and out. Bring your pet and sit outside, there's a water bowl for them. We went in for coffee today and will go back to try some of their food options. I saw homemade Belgium waffles on the board! YUM! The daily made biscuits, blueberry biscuit with glaze, muffins, quiche, and more looked so good. We may even go back to get a custom made ice cream sandwich. My husband and I got a latte and did not disappoint! My mother ordered a decaf vanilla frappe and finished it before leaving the parking lot. This is a little gem for Orange Beach for sure! This place has amazing breakfast & voted best breakfast in Alabama by someone:-) We've heard nothing but great things about this place and it took us long enough to get here but we finally arrived and hungry. We had eaten at the neighboring Luna's and wanted key lime pie; our server suggested BuzzCatz. We purchased two tiramisu and one key lime tart. The tiramisu was not good. The ladyfingers had not been soaked in coffee liqueur and it just tasted off. The texture was weird...not sure it was made of marscapone. The key lime tart had little to no lime flavor, almost like it had been made with regular lime juice. It was not tart. Very disappointed with both of our selections. Always love this place!!! Not only are the staff friendly and attentive, everything is always fresh with a rotating menu to keep it that way. All health precautions in place i.e. staff wear masks, out door seating and sanitation station when walking into the building as well as social distancing. 75% of tourist still don't seem to wear masks but that's every where in orange beach & Perdido key. Stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The other breakfast places were packed so I thought perhaps I found a hidden gem. Nope. Walked in and saw a long line for carryout coffees. The place had several tables inside and more outside. A sign directs you to seat yourself. Decided to sit outside. It was about 75% filled but there were more than a few empty tables. People seemed happy. They didn't seem to be eating anything but they seemed happy. Sat down and waited. After a few minutes I decided to pull out my timer. After reaching the 10 minute mark and having had at least two waitresses walk by without even uttering a word to my party I decided to leave. I'm estimating that three or so minutes passed by prior to me setting the time. It's a fair assessment to say that 13 minutes passed without a waitress stopping by table. Got up to leave and magically the girl came out complete with notepad and pen in hand. Too late sweetie. We'll go elsewhere. read more

My husband went to pick up breakfast and coffee this morning while I stayed at our rental. The Buzz bowls for breakfast were delicious, even after the ride back to our place. Lots of flavor and definitely very filling. But the iced latte... not so great. He asked for extra espresso in it because I like them stronger. Well this one didn't taste like it had any expressions at all. Tasted like milk and caramel flavoring. Had hubby try it too, he said it tasted watered down which I agreed with. I have been looking for a coffee shop in the area and finally found BuzzCatz. We had a blueberry muffin, iced lattes, a milkshake and a chocolate chip frappuccino. The milkshake and frappuccino were amazing. Unfortunately, the iced lattes tasted very watered down. The ice melted immediately, and the vanilla flavoring was not detectable. The blueberry muffin had an awesome taste, but I asked for it to be heated and it must've caused it to be tough. I'm thinking if I wouldn't have gotten it heated, it would've been amazing. Staff was friendly, but only one person was working so it was a bit slow (understandable bc it's a small, local shop). Overall, I'm giving them 4 stars...better than the local Starbucks that is never open. I'll definitely return. read more
