We have purchased 3 vehicles from Byers Ford and this will be our last. We test drove a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander. One of it's big selling perks was the awesome surround sound Rockford Fosgate stereo system. Upon test driving it, we found we could only change the station on the radio with the 'mode' button on the steering wheel. When we took it back, after the test drive, we told our salesman, Jeff, that it was a deal breaker, it must be fixed. Other than this small thing, the stereo sounded AWESOME and we liked the look of the interior and dash, very modern, very sleek. So we signed all the paper work including the paper where Jeff/someone with Byers had written, 'Make stereo operational'. We took the vehicle back to have the stereo repaired. We picked it up 5 days later only to find that our old stereo had been completely removed and to replace it, they had totally changed the look of our dash. Also a small microphone was now hanging from the edging where the window meets the roof of the car. We were very upset, as it not only changed the sound of our system, but it changed the entire look of the dash. It went from modern and sleek to something out of the 90's. So my husband called the place that Byers had sent our car to and asked some questions. He told them what kind of car and stereo we had and asked if they could repair it. They said no, but they could send it out and have it re-built then replace it. Instead of doing that, Byers decided to replace the stereo with a cheap replacement that we found at WalMart for $79. Not only does the stereo sound completely different, but the interior/dash looks totally different. I called Byers and explained why we were so unhappy and they treated me like I was being ridiculous. They said their paper work said 'make stereo operational' and that's what they did. Unfortunately, they did not explain to us that they would REPLACE it with something sub-par and completely change the look of the interior as well. read more

We bought a new 2019 Ford Transit Connect Wagon from Byers Ford on June 8, 2019. I had called ahead to confirm stock, and we walked in with a full cash, no trade deal. The price was at least $2000 less than at the other Ford dealer we had checked out. Mark showed us both vehicles they had in stock and explained the minor differences between them. Counting the time in reviewing the two cars, taking a test drive of the one we chose, completion of necessary paperwork, and allowing for detailing of the vehicle and preparation for delivery, we were out the door in just over 3 hours. Mark, our salesman made no attempt to push any unwanted dealer "add-ons", and showed us some of the basics on operation of the vehicle and its features. The only hangup was the demonstration of folding the 2nd and 3rd rows of seat. We can't fault Mark for this. We knew that this passenger version of the Transit Connect is a very low-volume unit for all except the very high-volume Ford dealerships that specialize in commercial vehicles. The next day we went through the owner's manual carefully, and discovered the one piece of information which Mark didn't realize, and which was not obvious looking at the vehicle: Before folding the 3rd row seats, it is necessary to put them in the rearmost position! Complaining about this makes as much sense as checking out your teenager for only getting a 99% on his advanced physics exam. We definitely will check out Byers if and when we are in the market for another vehicle. We probably won't have all our routine oil changes done there, since we have a very competent and pair auto service facility just a few minutes from home, while going to Beyers involves a 1 1/2 or 2 hour round trip. If you are looking for a great place to buy a used car (or a new one), this is the place to go. From start to finish, I was treated like the most important customer they had. I found a 2022 Ford Escape online. When I went to see it, Bob Drollinger and Grant Ceneskie treated me like a queen. They went above and beyond to accommodate me in every way possible. Coming from a 2011 base model Corolla, I had no idea how most of the gadgets in my new car worked. Grant was so patient with me, explaining everything I asked him with humor and kindness. And even Steve, the F&I Manager, was completely upfront with me. I told him right away that I didn't want ANY of the extra "shenanigans" dealerships (ex: Ricart) usually try to sneak in and oftentimes nearly force you to take, and that was the end of the discussion. Steve was ZERO pressure. I did end up buying an extended warranty, but NOT because Steve pressured me. I keep my cars for a very long time. Since this car is so nice, I will probably keep it until the wheels fall off. The cost of the warranty vs what it covers and how long it lasts made this a no-brainer. But again, there was no pressure. As I had been shopping around for this exact car for a minute, I already knew I was getting a great deal on the price of the car, so the added peace of mind from the warranty was well worth it for me. And since I was a cash buyer, and they weren't making any back-end money from the bank that dealerships typically count on, I would have thought the pressure would have been high. But nope. Steve was a rock star. In summary, my husband and I don't buy cars often, but when we do, you can count on one thing: Byers Ford in Delaware is where we'll be heading! read more

I bought a ford as I liked the way the edge looked got it load with the sport package, I had a BMW X5 before which I bought new. I purchased from Byers Ford Delaware and had a good purchase experience. I recently had my oil changed which had been leaking from a prior change, came to find out they have plastic plugs for oil drainage now. I took it in and said it is leaking around the plug as it was not installed correctly. Told them change oil rotate tires and replace plug or fix. Brought it home still leaking called back and said bring back in two weeks as that was the quickest appointment. I brought it back at 8 am in two weeks told them when coming back my ground effects in the front drivers side looked loose as well and if they could fix. Showed them when I brought in and they said ok. I was in the waiting room TV did not work which I fixed all the connections loose. They came in within 30 minutes, car was done they replaced plug but told me they could not do anything with ground effects as I had to take it to body shop and make another appointment......wish they would have said this off the bat or set me up then. I proceeded to check out and stood there for 4 minutes until I asked the receptionist who proceeded to look at and finger through her Facebook did not say anything to me until I said "what is the hold up" and she stated oh she is doing you bill. Stood there another 3 minutes while I watched the receptionist finger through her Facebook. The service is quick but the customer service piece is definitely an issue at Byers Ford Delaware. read more

Let me start by saying Dan Perry (Sales Manager) of Byers Ford is phenomenal! Steve Cousins (Finance Manager), Alexis (Sales Consultant), and John Hess (Manager) of Byers Ford did an great job from the beginning to the end of the sales process. I contacted Byers Ford about an F-150 that I was interested in. They responded quickly and kept me abreast of the truck's status/availability. Pictures of the truck were sent in a timely manner. I scheduled an appointment to see the F-150 (White Platinum Pearl). I received a warm greeting by all when I arrived. Because of my work schedule and traffic, I arrived within 30 minutes of their closing time. This had no bearing on my experience. I was treated as if I was the 1st customer of the day. I took the truck on a test drive. Driving the F-150 was similar to other F-150's that I "tested". I have test driven countless trucks in OH, PA, and NJ looking for the right F-150 with many being similar. My decision was ultimately made by the Byers Staff not the truck. The level of care, concern, and attention to detail before, during, and AFTER the sale was terrific. The truck had a few areas that needed attention. Purchased a 2022 F150 XLT PowerBoost. Thanks John Grijak! Ordering the new truck was easy though I ordered during the 21-22 model changeover and waited 4 months. Limited production availability of F150's let alone a PowerBoost and finding one on a lot with the options and color I wanted anywhere would have been near impossible. With stock shortages, there are no dealer trades either. All my questions about the options and packages were answered and details provided about additional features. When it arrived, I was contacted immediately, sent a couple pics and we set up a time to meet. I received a very fair trade allowance for my '18 F150 XLT SuperCrew and John even found current additional incentives I didn't know about at the time of the deal. This is the second F150 we purchased through John Grijak. The trade-in was purchased through John also. This is the fourth vehicle we have purchased at this dealership and have always been easy and no-pressure transactions with the best deal possible. The management and sales staff have always been friendly and helpful. We are treated as old friends. Service quality has been great, though delayed a little during the pandemic and staffing issues. First off I don't give alot of reviews but when good service is received I think it's important to vouch for the good people and businesses out there We recently switched brands and finally bought a Ford. We looked all around and spoke with many different dealers. The service and attention to detail was what drove us to do business with them and ultimately make our purchase. STAY AWAY! I trade cars a lot. I have bought over 35 cars in the last 30 years. I trade-in my car every year, sometimes twice per year. I have never been lied to and talked down to like this from any dealership before. Byers Ford had a Jeep I wanted to buy. They emailed me a fair price. I logged onto THEIR website, I accurately and honestly entered my trade information. They offered me a cash offer of $32,600. That was lower than a buy-bid I recieved from Carmax of $33,400, but I was going to accept it. Before driving 7 hours to buy the Jeep, I called to confirm it was still available. The sales manager named Bob told me he would not honor the appraisal that BYERS FORD gave me! He offered me $31,000 instead of $32,600. When I respectfully questioned this deceptive scandelous maneuver (false advertising) , he told me that they do want want my business and I should look somewhere else! THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR OWN ONLINE APPRAISAL, and when questioned, they suggest that you take your business elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE. read more

We ordered a 2019 F150 pickup from Byers in Delaware. The salesperson, Matt Merkle was very knowledgeable and tried to sell us what we wanted - in contrast to our experience at other dealerships where they either did not know the vehicle well enough or tried to sell us what they wanted to get rid of. The F150 that we eventually got had all the bells and whistles we wanted, but what I did not expect (I have little experience with pickups - had one 20 y ago) was the extremely nice vehicle we got. I enjoy looking at it and driving it - just a pleasure. Sam is always very nice however on my last visit I was charged for an oil filter that vibrated loose. This could have easily destroyed my 5.2 Voodoo engine. After roadside assistance arranged for the flatbed they were very busy and could not check the car until the next day. Once the work was done I was charged 120 bucks for what should be warranty work. The change was done at a dealer out of state but still a certified Ford tech / dealer. I had to call Ford customer care. On top of this they just topped off the oil and charged me for a filter even though I provided my own proper filter (they declined to use it). I cant recommend that anyone buy or use this dealership for service. We have bought our last vehicle from Byers. I hope the 120 bucks takes you far. read more

I was amazed when I went there to buy a car. They are an Internet dealer with the lowest price..... and they are ! No hassles... The car was exactly as pictured on the net,... They don't negotiate a whole lot because they are already the lowest price.... but they made it easy to buy.... I haven't used their service department... but I will since I bought an extended warranty.... They helped me alot to get me in my new Fusion..... I went to Ricart and they told me they would not honor my X-Plan discount because I was doing CASH FOR CLUNKERS... Byers gave me no hassles at all...
