Pretty good pho especially on a Christmas Day. Largest spring rolls I've seen at a place. But maybe cause there was a lot of lettuce sticking out. Service was nice and fast. The interior was clean. Good spot for a cold day.

It was hard to find a spot nearby that would be open on Christmas and lucky this restaurant was open. The service was I very friendly, we got a table for two right the way, and food arrived quick. We got some fresh rolls, which were really huge. I really liked the dipping sauce, seems like they put some picked radish and carrots as toppings in addition to peanuts. Also they give you 4 pieces of rolls, whole most places, in my experience, only give you 2 ([insert mind-blown guy meme]) The pho was delicious but, I thought, could be a little bit more fatty. The position was huge and perfect to split between two people. The vibe seemed very casual and relaxed, many people seem to be there with families or on a date.

The food and flavor of this place is nice but the service really sucks thus the low stars. First off, we were seated right by the bathroom which was not appealing watching people pass us each time they had to use the bathroom. This is not contributing to the low rating but it should tell you we were furthest from the kitchen and maybe contributed to also being ignored. It took a bit to order our food or getting water. When they seated us they brought the cups and chopsticks with napkins but no carafe of water. The people who were seated next to us and after got their water with their cups, chopsticks, and napkins. When we did order I asked if we could get some water and they brought it with our drink order. Our food came and like I said I really like their food but once our food was dropped off we got very little attention. One of us wanted chili sauce so we did get that. Trying to get their attention was really hard. We needed more water and our carafe was empty but it too much effort to get their attention. I also wanted to order dessert so I just walked over to the kitchen and asked them for both. We finished most of our food and our table of dishes could have been removed and I thought surely they would remove before before the dessert came. Nope. The guy who dropped off the dessert took some of the dirty plate he could carry but left the others and didn't bother coming back to remove. So we ate our dessert with rest of dirty plates. See pics. Then we had to get the check and again felt a bit of effort to get. They brought it and I went to front to pay. I don't know if that was process or not but I was not gonna wait for them to bring me the pos system too. I remember coming here before and it was not like this. This experience has left a bad feeling and I won't be going back. Rest of my party agreed. There are other better service and just as good food Vietnamese places without this experience.

SO SO GOOD! I'm in town for work and wanted something to cure my homesickness. I saw that COBA was a short walk from my hotel and decided to check it out. There was a wait on a Tuesday night but since I was a solo diner, I was able to sit at the bar right away. Ordered the lemon grass pork chop rice plate after asking my server for recommendations and it was DELICIOUS. I finished the whole thing even though I was stuffed!

A good spot for Vietnamese food if you are making a trip to Seattle Center. I got the bun bo hue. It is not the best bun bo hue I have had but it was still pretty good. The ambience was pretty cool! The ambience was nice as well!

The food is extremely fast, the service is great, and it's a fun place to enjoy some decent food! For what it is, I think it's a bit pricey, but I guess everything is now. We ordered several different things to try a variety. Probably my least favorite was the sampler, especially for $30. Maybe $20 and I wouldn't have thought so negative. It was fine, but just not that great. We wanted to try their fresh rolls and of course peanut sauce. The sauce was kind of runny and needed some fish sauce/more umami. I had never had Curry and Vietnamese place and did really enjoy the Chicken Ca Ri, which was also enough to have half for lunch the next day. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area.

Decent Vietnamese spot near Seattle Center and makes for a good dinner spot before a show/concert/game. They have happy hour only on Monday through Thursday. On my first visit, we tried the banh khot, bun bo hue (recommended by the server), and chicken vermicelli bowl. Banh khot was delicious and definitely something I'd get again. Bun bu hue hit all the right notes flavor wise and appreciated that they provide banana blossoms on the side. Just gave it more authenticity. It was missing pork trotter and pork blood though. Service was good when it wasn't busy. Once the restaurant filled up, servers weren't as attentive but not a big deal since we weren't in a rush.

I spontaneously came here with a friend on a Saturday night around 8pm after Panda Fest the same day, and after finding out that the nearby Woo Bar was booked for an event. The place inside is quite fancy with the lights and decor, and the pictures of their food on their website also seem fancy as well. There is a QR code you use to look at their menu, which doesn't have pictures of the food itself. It took us a little bit to flag down a sever to take our order but this didn't detract from my experience here. As I usually do for most Vietnamese restaurants I go to the first time, I got their grilled beef short ribs rice plate. This also came with broken rice, and not every place I go to does this so I was happy in this case. Beef is flavored well without being overly done, and isn't hard to chew either. The provided soup was a great refresher, though I was surprised that their julienned carrots were also kimchi flavored. Overall, nothing too special about what I had here, since grilled beef short ribs is standard and it didn't quite stand out to me. My visit did set a pretty good baseline if I were to come back here and try some of their other dishes whenever I'm around the area, which isn't likely.

Went to a friend's graduation on Monday, and our whole group ended up going to CÔBA as a celebratory late lunch/early dinner, linner? Anyways, our group was pretty big, about 10 people total. Wait was long but understandable for our size, and the fact many other people came here after the graduation ceremony down the street. Server was funny in a teasing kind of way, but made sure he got all our orders rights. I ordered the Cơm Sườn Bò / Grilled Short Ribs Rice Plate. It's one of my top 3 favourite Vietnamese dishes, so I'm very particular about it. The beef ribs were tasty and cooked the way I liked it. But the rice that came with it was, let's just say interesting. Most cơm tấm dishes use a long-grain rice, but this restaurant decided to use a very short-grain rice that almost resembled sushi rice. It's not bad, but I'm a big texture guy, so I thought it didn't work well with the whole plate. The egg was also strange too, never seen it formed in such a circular manner haha. That's just me nit-picking though, everything else tasted great and it came with everything you expected with the dish including the soup and side vegetables. One of my other friends (the graduate) ordered the bánh khọt, which is like a little mini Vietnamese pancake bite. It's also one of my top 3 favourite dishes, and my friend let me have a bite to try. Oh boy, I'm sad to say this was the worst bánh khọt I've had. Both my friend and I commented how dough-y it was in the middle, which is not supposed to be like that. I think they messed up this dish, it happens when you get even one proportion of ingredients wrong. Overall, most of the group liked what we had, and we had a nice time there. If you're in Queen Anne area, it's a decent option for Vietnamese food, but I rather go elsewhere like South Seattle for better Vietnamese food.

Service was fast, which was perfect for a pre-event meal, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The price for the amount of food was also great! The pork banh mi was seriously good--definitely something I'd recommend! We also had the fresh spring rolls, which were light, refreshing, and lived up to their name. We honestly wished we had more time in the area because we would've loved to go back for another round! The quality of the food was excellent all around. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area, especially if I'm headed to another game or show nearby.

The food was very tasty and they have lots of vegetarian and vegan options here. They don't carry nondairy milk though unfortunately for the Thai teas. The service is usually kinda hit or miss. They're very polite but sometimes it can be hard to get their attention when you need something or are ready for the check. The ambiance is fun and cozy. Would recommend!

Decided to try Coba for their pho. There's a iPad where you can check in for waitlist. The interior is more roomier than I thought. Staff was okay - nothing that stuck out good or bad. The salt and pepper tofu could have used more seasoning as it was kind of bland. There wasn't much salt or pepper. The beef pho comes with steak and brisket. Unlike other Vietnamese shops, there's no specific pho that comes with specific meat cuts (ie no pho tai). The broth was on the bland side. My friends that came to Coba before also agreed it was more bland than usual. There's only one portion size which was pretty good but it's on the more expensive end. Overall, Coba was just okay. I absolutely love that the menu is primarily gluten free. I ordered the tofu banh mi and it was just ok, though. I wouldn't totally fault them as I feel the baguette could have been better (it was doughy?), but I know the options are limited. I think the filling itself could have been more seasoned, tho. To be fair I had the vegetarian option served gluten free, so far from traditional! Unfortunately there were some pieces of meat in our veggie pho as well, which was definitely not cool for our dietary restrictions. Regardless, the staff was super nice and the menu is accommodating. I just think the food could use a little more umph. read more

I've only gone into get my take out so that's all I can speak to but the service was exceptional, staff accommodating and friendly. Food was ready fast... like less than 10 fast (it was 9:30 at night on a weekday). The food was great. Best tasting broth, wish I'd ordered a second one since I'm sick. The order was well seasoned. I added veggies to my chicken pho and there was more than carrots and broccoli like most places. There also was a perfectly cooked egg. Go try them out! read more

God I love this place. Under the radar but incredibly delicious. Their bahn mi is killer and the side of fries and little pho for dipping is what keeps me coming back. They're all super nice, accommodating and have an excellent price point. It's my go to when I'm in the area. Everyone I take there loves it. read more

The food and drinks are good, but the establishment is unsanitary at times. I saw a bartender drop a stirring spoon on the floor, pick it up, and continue to use it. Additionally, my partner got food poisoning the last time we ate here. The staff seem overworked too. read more

I love this place. I personally like it better than Pho Bac (sorry...not super sorry!) they also have a rib pho that has a ginormous beef rib bone it. For me I like the flavors and the ambience of this place better. This is an easy go to for me, their drinks are amazing. I don't generally drink, but they do a good job on their cocktails. Good alcohol selection. The rice plates and spring rolls are okay for me--hard to mess up, hard to amazing at. I LOVE the chicken avocado porridge. Is that a Vietnamese thing? To add avocado? Not sure but its a great combo. The porridge is rich in ginger chicken flavor. I like the fried chicken here. Great flavors. My general go to orders here are the bun bo hue, rib pho or chicken porridge. But nothing I have tried here has been bad. The one thing is they are not fast, you need to be prepared to chill and not be in a hurry. read more

Yum! One of the most delicious Vietnamese restaurants I've ever tried! However, it's also one of the most expensive Vietnamese restaurants I've ever gone to! The Oxtail Pho broth was delicious! The meat was so tender! My husband never really finishes his pho whenever he orders it, but he ate the whole entire bowl! He was in love with this pho! I had the Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Noodle Salad Bowl. The chicken was tender and seasoned so delicious! To this day, I'm still trying to figure out how they cooked it, because it was so good! Just think of this place as a gourmet Vietnamese restaurant, compared to ordinary Vietnamese restaurants. I guess you can say they stepped it up a notch. Great food for the price you pay, right? read more

Food: good Service: great Came here with a group of 12 (aka, a handful) and the staff was amazingly attentive and patient with us. They were also on point with refills for their bottomless mimosas! Food was good, but I found it a little pricey for the food genre. All in all would come back though, especially if looking for another medium to large group space! read more

what an amazing place! visited here from southern cali on 6/10 with my kids, niece and husband! food was delicious and so was the service. we ordered pho, chicken and rice dish, the Vietnamese sandwich and it was amazing! the ambiance was also amazing. it was so cozy and super clean and seats large parties!! definitely recommend and will go again when we visit washington!!! read more

I ordered chicken pho and bo kho beef stew. The chicken pho was not good (plain, laking flavor and hardly any chicken) but the beef stew was very good. I ordered this as takeout online and requested cutlery and even asked when I picked up the order. "Sure, it's in there" they said. But it wasn't. Fortunately the hotel we were staying at had some cutlery that we could borrow. Chicken pho get's 1 star, beef stew gets 4 stars and service gets 2 stars. Average it all out for 3 stars. read more

Good authentic Vietnamese food combined with a trendy Americanized aesthetic, so it may be pricier than a traditional Vietnamese restaurant. None of the staff were wearing masks, which was a surprise to see after having been in this pandemic for so long. The restroom was very clean, which I appreciate. The table I sat at though still had crumbs from the last person who ate there. While I was eating, a waiter brought me my check long before he took away the empty plate from my appetizer. While seating some customers, I saw a waitress drop a menu on the floor and then pick it up and place it on the bar before. I didn't know if the menu got cleaned or sanitized. The staff was polite, but could definitely work on making customers feel more confident that the restaurant is clean and sanitary. read more

Delicious vermicelli bowls!!! I have eaten their chicken bun or pork bun probably 5+ times now and it never disappoints. However, I ordered tofu fresh rolls for takeout and it was supposed to come with peanut sauce dressing and instead it came with a soy sauce dressing. Sadly that's why the 3 stars. Will still eat their vermicelli bowls, but not the fresh rolls. read more

Wow. This place is so good. Went for dine-in and social distancing was enforced well (a lot of people were trying to sit wherever they wanted like they were casually walking into a bar on a normal day and as if we weren't in COVID times *rolls eye* but staff handled it well). The crunchy roll (imperial roll) was probably the best kind I've ever tasted and I've tasted a lot. Yam fries were also so good with their aioli! Ordered their popular short rib pho which did not disappoint. Highly recommend! In Seattle for a few more days and I'm already wanting to go back. Big thumbs up for service as well! Friendly Staff. Great food, love the mood. Went to eat with my daughter today of all day I decided to bring my daughter here since she wanted soup. I'm a single father struggling to get by. But if my baby want something I will not turn it down. I had 25 in my wallet, so I ordered 1 chicken pho as my baby girl asked. I thought the staff looked at me weird without knowing they wanted to give us a free meal. I behind grateful for the meal. read more

The food here was all really tasty. We started with the lychee cocktail (can't remember the name of it) and I really recommend it! It was very refreshing. Then got the fresh spring rolls, shrimp papaya salad, and the mushroom vermicelli salad bowl. Everything tasted amazing, the flavors were strong and was the perfect amount of food for two of us. The only issue I had was the price. Comparatively to other Vietnamese restaurants the dishes here are double the price. But overall I was happy with the food and the service so I would come again to try their other dishes. read more

My wife and I were craving for some oxtail pho and this place came up. We arrived around 8 on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet. Here's what we got: Oxtail Pho - wonderful broth with a generous serving of oxtail. Some people have complained about the price ($14.50!) but I think it's a fair price for the amount of oxtail and beef that you're getting. Only slight complaint was that it could use more noodles or perhaps have an option to add more. Crispy Imperial Roll - my wife thought this was just okay but I thought it was great. The skin was thin and crispy with a generous amount of filling. Master Stock Crispy Chicken - this was probably the weakest dish. Flavors were good and the skin was nice and crispy but the meat was kinda dry... Probably would skip. Overall, the food was pretty good but service was kinda lacking. All the dishes came at once and there were some inconsistencies between the two pho that we ordered. Nevertheless, we'll definitely be back but just for the pho. read more

Used to be the papaya ale house, new Coba hits the spot. They still have the zucchini noodles which saves some carbs off of your pho. I was pleasantly surprised to see the pilsner from Airway brewery as well. Finally 2-5 p happy hour was unheard of. Price was really fair. I recommend this place! read more

Staying at a local hotel so I stopped by to give the food a try. The small bowl of Beef Pho was $16. Didn't have much of a Pho aroma to it. I've had a lot better. Decided to order the Bun Thit Nuoung with lemongrass pork to go for my dinner. It was probably the worst I've ever had. It had green beans and bell peppers in it. Never had this in this dish before. Flavorful less. The pork was primarily chunks of fat and I could not taste the lemongrass. For the price I expected better. Don't think I will eat at this place again. read more

Probably won't eat at this restaurant again. The first table where we were sat at has a couple of flies so we requested a seat change. After seat change, we noticed that there were even more flies constantly hovering over our food which was super disgusting and annoying. Other tables had the same experience. Went home and stomach immediately felt sick... Taste of food was good but hygiene was really poor. read more

Very good service and food! Made me feel like I was in SF but with more reasonable prices. Really hipster but also really yummy food. Minh was our server and he was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone - they are very accommodating and have great suggestions. I enjoyed a piping hot bowl of beef pho at coba tonight and it was spectacular. The broth was incredible alone but of course I had to nuke it a bit with some sriracha and a little bit of hoisin. The basil was fresh and the bean sprouts were crisp. I really like the atmosphere in the bar and my server/bartender, Alana couldn't have been nicer. I just moved into the neighborhood and between the delicious food (I can't wait to explore the rest of their killer menu) and the wonderful service, I know I'm going to be a regular here. read more

I'm so happy we found this place! We have been Pho fans for years and since our move, have failed to find a place that is consistently tasty, until Coba and let me tell you they've thought of everything! With your Bah Mi sandwich you are given a cup of broth to dunk if that's your jam, extra sauce for the sandwich, and fries with something amazing on them. When we've dined in the appetizer and drink selections are great and the service has been wonderful too! Highly recommend. read more

This place is awesome! Went here on a limb and was extremely surprised by the authentic Vietnamese flavour, rich ingredients and price. I'm from Canada originally and simply haven't found a Vietnamese place like this. Food came hot, my Rice Plate had spice but not too much. The heat was quickly evaporated by the savoury Jasmine Rice. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Time to try it out on a beautiful Spring day in Seattle. It's located close to Pike Place Market so planning a fun day involving these two places was a breeze. The restaurant had a beautiful Thai interior. The chairs we were seated in were not that comfortable, however. Service was efficient and straightforward. We ordered an appetizer and two dishes. The dishes were salmon fried rice and Pad Sei-Iew. I feel bad but we were not that impressed with their food. Fried rice was really salty and Pad Sei-Iew was also on the saltier side. I am not sure if we will return given the lackluster quality of the foods. Perhaps when we have another outing in the downtown area, we might give it a try again to try other dishes.

The chicken curry in the nasi lemak was delicious with the coconut rice. Along with the anchovies, egg, peanuts, and sambal, it was a choose-your-own-adventure kind of bite. The kaya toast was the perfectly sweet dish to balance out all the flavors. I especially loved dipping it in the poached egg for a satisfyingly runny bite. I left feeling so full, but so motivated to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend!

Good food! Food was tasty and well prepared and delivered. We had one of the rolls and the spicy shrimp with rice noodles. The shrimp were great, very tasty and lots of flavor depth, and although the entrees are smallish, my friend and I were more than satisfied with one order and a side of noodles.
