Truly a hidden gem I found by happenstance biking to work one day and I was beckoned in by the prospect of freshly made banh mi and boy was I presented a treat this place is such a charming little corner store off the beaten path and it has all your convenience store essentials along side a delicious Vietnamese classic and imo one of the best sandwiches ever , the ladies there are so sweet and inviting and the banh mi was excellent :)

Was leaning between a 3 and a 4 if I'm being honest, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt with it being a small, local place. What I love about CôNu's Corner is the hole-in-the-wall storefront. I mean, it's the definition of bare bones being inside a convenience store. Gotta love when you can find good eats in unexpected places! They were open on the 4th of July, so I picked up some sandwiches. I am always craving banh mi, legitimately ALWAYS craving it. They have different variations, as well as pho on their menu. These were good banh mis, though I wouldn't say great. I felt the portions were small, and as a few other reviewers have mentioned, a little skimpy on the meat. I shouldn't be hungry after eating a sandwich right? Flavors were good, but honestly it was overshadowed by the bread because the ratio of bread to meat was too much IMO. I always take businesses at their face value. This banh mi just left more to be desired. However, it's a hidden gem inside a convenience store and reminded me of being on the east coast. Though I'm not running back, I would definitely give them another shot!

What a great little find. Don't be turned off by the convenience store vibes - this place is a hidden gem. Amazing drinks and solid food. Every drinks I've had here has been absolute perfection. The standouts: * Viet egg coffee: Creamy goodness that is hard to find anywhere else. * Two flavored thai iced tea: A unique concoction made by the owner - a mix of the thai iced green tea and thai iced tea. Would highly recommend this! * Egg rolls: Crispy flavorful goodness * Combo pho: Solid pho base with a variety of meats. Overall good quality no frills pho. * Combo Sandwich Banh Mi: Overall solid banh mi. Personally I do prefer a little more pate though. Would I come back: Yes the perfect quick spot for no frills traditional solid food and amazing drinks. Plus the owner is extremely friendly.

First time trying bahn mi and it did not disappoint! Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was moderately crowded with some people sitting down and others waiting for takeout. I ordered the bahn mi with Vietnamese pork, and chicken egg rolls. It was one of the best sandwiches that I've had in a long time. The pork had a very unique flavor in an incredible way. I wish I had gotten extra meat - not because it was small, but because it was that good and I wanted more. The egg rolls were good too, but definitely not the spotlight. While it is not a full on restaurant, I actually enjoyed eating here. It was just a basic table and chair set up, but the owners were attentive in bringing my food, cleaning up, and filling water, even though not officially waiting on me. I enjoyed the quiet and silence without music playing; I was able to just sit and relax and enjoy my food. This is a great local spot that I would return to and recommend. Next time I would just get the bahn mi with extra meat and skip everything else. A good value and I left full.

I was out with a friend and wanted to participate in MHAFW and it was almost over! I looked at their map online of all the restaurants and CoNus Corner came up so we went over to check it out. I love a good bún dish! I ordered the grilled combo and we shared it. It was so refreshing and healthy tasting. It's one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes! The veggies were fresh and crunchy and the grilled meat was savory and flavorful! I saw this Vietnamese egg coffee on the menu and was intrigued and had to try it! I wondered if it would be like a dalgona coffee but with egg instead just sugar whip! The coffee was delicious and there was cocoa powder on top too! Food and service were excellent. The ambiance was eh - basic family restaurant vibe - cool but not customer focused.

This is by far THE BEST banh mi in Denver! I would drive through an hour of rush hour traffic to eat this sandwich again. Located in a convenience store that sells quick grabs as well, the cafe is where it's at! The pork banh mi is literally chef's kiss. There is a reason CoNu's was featured in Westword's magazine in January of 2025. Absolutely delicious, warm, crunchy, fresh, and spicy all in one sandwich. In fact it was a o good, that we ordered another sandwich-this time chicken- to split. The crab cheese wontons were also delicious. Going here again asap!

I've been wanting to try CoNu's after eating the banh mi sandwiches at an event. We finally were in the area and I told my husband we should try it! I knew the restaurant was connected to a convenience store but it was fun to actually see/experience it! The eclectic items of the store (especially the vapes) was interesting, and our kids enjoyed running all around as we waited for our food. After ordering at the register, our kids picked out Gatorade from the vending fridges. It was quite a bit of wait (as there was 10 of us) but the food was worth it!! Banh mi, rice plate and pho -- you really can't go wrong! Every dish exceeded our expectations. And the kids scarfed for the pho noodles and broth. The combination rice plate was a huge portion and came with bbq pork, chicken, shrimp, a pork chop, and fried egg on rice. I shared it with my one year old, who couldn't get enough (we left a huge mess of rice all over the floor because he wanted to feed himself). The owner was very nice and understanding -- running utensils, bowls, scissors (to cut the pho noodles for our kids) out to us. Great way to end our night!

The bahn mi with soup is a must have during the cold weather. The pho broth pairs so well with the bahn mi and there is just something about the flavor of the Star anise in it thats so comforting and warming.

Lil hole in the wall Vietnamese spot, in a convenience store so you can gas station-type things but I think most people are there for the food. Really good, we had the combo and bbq pork banh mi sandwiches, liked it overall and felt it was authentic. Only con is a bit pricey for portion size, we thought about getting the pork rice plate but seemed expensive for size. Would probably go elsewhere for pho/vermicelli/rice plates, but the banh was solid and reasonable.

Don't let the convenience store fool you, this place has some of the best Banh Mi I have had in the Metro Area. The bread is baked fresh daily and the ingredients are fresh and balanced. The Vietnamese BBQ pork Banh mi is one I will crave. The bread has a nice, hard crust on the outside to hold the plentiful fresh vegetables and savory BBQ pork. Well worth the drive if you are not in the Sloan's Lake area. At $10.95, it is lower in price than most. Order at the register to the right of the entrance. Food is delivered to your table and served with a smile.

I finally got to try Conus after hearing about it for a while. It's close by Sloans so if you need a meal after being around the lake, this is a great spot. Unlike other areas around here, they do have a private parking lot which is great if you can't parallel park like me. There's plenty of seating indoors. It's actually like half restaurant bites and half connivence store. The owners are so sweet and kind. They told us it would take a little longer for our food because they were baking a fresh hot batch of bread. A nice family owned spot. There's actually a lot of food options on the menu from rice plates to pho. However, I kept hearing about the banh mi so that was my choice. The banh mi is so delicious. We came in when they first opened so the bread was baked fresh and hot. The pate in the banh mi combo was delicious. The bread was flaky and crunchy just so good to have homemade baguette. I will need to come back to try the others.

Their Banh Mi's are light because the bread isn't super thick and heavy but medium thickness (and proportional to the the rest of the ingredients) and it's chewy/crispy. Perfectly sized leaving you full but not sluggish. The sliced veggies are always fresh. Definitely a hidden gem for tasty and consistent Bahn Mi's.

Wow! So glad I tried this place on a whim today. We ordered two veggie pho: one with beef broth and one with veggie. Both broths were so light and flavorful, homemade without a doubt. The veggies were crunchy and fresh, the tofu was perfectly crisp- seriously, couldn't have been a more perfect bowl. The obvious care and incredible flavor development in this broth has won me over! It's been a while since the last time I have come back to Denver. My friend told me about this place and I was skeptical to see it's inside a convenience store. Their Banh Mi was so good and filled with meat, pate and mayonnaise. The Banh Mi thit nuong (pork bbq sandwich) was so good that I forgot to take picture like I used to. They marinate the meat just right and it was so tender and flavorful. I don't know how they recreate the smoky charcoal smell that reminds me so much of Vietnam. Their mayonnaise was so creamy and smooth, together with the pate that absolutely leveled up their sandwich. The cucumber and pickle carrots and daikon has the right enhancement between sweet and sour that balanced out the meaty protein. I also had the chance to try their soy bean pudding (not on the menu yet, they are doing a test run) and O M G, it was so smooth, silky and refreshing. She served it with the creamy milk sauce and coconut flakes. It was amazing!! It is not a dining place but the service was very nice and pleasant. Definitely want to come back for more!!! P/S: I tried talking my friends into coming back the 2nd day and we did try more dishes here. O M G, let's the pictures tell you about it. The portion was huge and the grilled pork chop was deliciously flavorful. I ordered a bbq pork banh mi and it was pretty good. The bread wasn't my favorite, a little too crispy on the outside but it was a good portion for the price. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee which was not too sweet. Service was fantastic and I would definitely go back for that alone. Little bit of background, I've been OBSESSED with Vietnamese food and drinks for about 10 years now after having my first iced coffee and bahn mi at Golden Deli in California. I've driven all over Los Angeles and Orange County trying all sorts of different and delicious offerings from different businesses and families. Now in Denver, I was excited to find out there were a lot of Vietnamese places to try and I've spent a few months now trying out all the best spots and recommendations from friends. I found this place today and went on a whim after seeing a picture of the BBQ Bahn mi on here and boy was I not ready for this place. Let's start with the location. It's right off Federal near all the other Vietnamese places that are also excellent but this market at first seems very unassuming. Once inside we were greeted by a nice man working the register and he helpfully explained their menu so we could make our choices. Upon taking a seat we had the absolute pleasure of meeting the lady who was in charge of preparing our drinks and food (I believe her name is Nu but we didn't catch her name so not sure). She was genuinely one of the nicest people we've met and gave us a little background about the store and their journey. Overall everyone was super nice and the place gives off a friendly atmosphere. Now onto the food. This bahn mi has to be one of, if not THE BEST Bahn Mi's I've had yet. And I've had some spectacular ones both here and in California. The bread was baked perfectly (and in-house btw). And the meat was both cooked and cut to perfection. The veggies and condiments were fresh and tasted great and the ratio of all the components of the sandwich was spot on! Not too much meat, not too many veggies, everything was just right. The Vietnamese iced coffee we got was also amazing. I love Vietnamese coffee and sometimes it can be too sweet or overly bitter but this one was exactly what I expect viet coffee to taste like. The egg coffee my fiancée drank was just as great if not better due to the extra flavors the egg souffle type topping brings. All in all, I'm really looking forward to coming back to this place and trying their Pho next and some of the other sandwiches. I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone who is a fan of Vietnamese food. They seem like the sweetest people and their food is phenomenal. You should not miss out! read more

We bought 2 banh mi sandwiches. The service was friendly. The bread was excellent. The fillings were a tad skimpy. The vegetables could use more dressing. So, why not 4 stars? The $4 credit card fee which was "discounted" down to 94¢. read more

After visiting Vietnam we have been on the search for a good banh mi sandwich. We did find a place in Denver that is really close to being authentic but , We saw this place on the news and looked forward to supporting the family owned business. We ordered 3 sandwiches of different meats. All were very flavorful but very skimpy. Seemed like it was about 3-4 tablespoons of meat a bit of the standard vegetables that were marinated just right. The negative is the lack of filling and felt like I was mostly eating a dryish bread roll. read more

Our family stopped by here for lunch and had an incredible experience. We all loved the banh mi sandwiches. The bread was fresh and crispy and the sandwiches were packed with tons of flavors! We highly recommend the grilled chicken and vegetarian options (my parents are vegetarians and they had no issues ordering) We also ordered a side of egg rolls that came out hot and fresh, as well as some delicious coconut cassava cake that the owners brought out for us. Everyone working there was very attentive and kind. I would highly recommend stopping by for a bite to eat! We'll be coming back to try some other menu options :) read more

For legit Vietnamese banh mi in an urban neighborhood (normally you'd have to travel to largely Asian areas of the city), have to give this place 5 stars. Awesome authentic food in the highlands, easy parking, food travels well, convenience store items, no complaints! If you have complaints about ambience from an authentic quick Asian place (or any authentic ethnic food really), you clearly don't know how to find good food. And complaints about private parking are very confusing. If spots are clearly marked as private parking...it's private parking. Just like any other small business with private parking. Same would apply if you went to Panda Express for their ambiance and complained about their private parking. Cheers to delicious neighborhood eats! Btw: what are my credentials for reviewing this food? Great question! 1st gen half Chinese grew up surrounded by different Asian family friends, eating 99% Asian home cooked food, traveled around Vietnam, and not an asshole (generally speaking). read more

So glad that Conu is finally open! I've been dreaming of bánh mì near me for a long time. Conu is well-located near Leroy's Bagels, and I don't think I'll ever wait in that line for a bagel again with the knowledge that I can grab great food just a few doors down. This place reminds me of home and what banh mi should be. I have Banh mi dac biec here numerous times. The baguette is baked with thin, crisp crust and soft, airy texture and served with a perfect combination of pate, meat, pickled carrots, daikon, cucumber and pate. The service is friendly. The owners go out of their way to make sure that you are happy. Sometimes you might have to wait a little bit to get the hot, fresh, warm baguette...it is worth the time and the wait! More than meets the eye for sure! In my opinion, some of the best bahn mi sandwiches in the city (very nice bread and pickles and served with a warm smile) and I am obsessed with her "2 Flavors Tea", a blend of her green tea and Thai tea that is so yummy and refreshing. She always shows a lot of care and comes around to check in with some love and will do whatever she can to make sure we leave happy, which we always do. read more

Saw an article about CoNu's and stopped on a whim. Glad I did. The Veitnamese BBQ Pork Bahn Mi was really good. Crusty bread, tasty pork, crunchy veg, and the right level of spiciness (with jalapenos). The highlight was the Mango Passion Fruit Soda! Fresh made with chunks of fresh fruit, a bit of sweetness, and loads of ice. Hit the spot on one of the first warm days of the season. Thanks CoNu! read more

BEWARE: They will tow you while you sit in your car waiting for a friend to eat at their place. If you read the response, they don't care about customers. They pay an old man to sit who is the tow company. Keep in mind the lot was empty and the business was NOT open yet. The kindness you create is what you receive. I love a great bahn mi, but this is not a kind and thoughtful business. Would give six stars if possible! Absolutely DELISH banh mi sandwiches: perfectly marinated and cooked meats, crunchy outside soft inside homemade rolls, fresh veggies (daikon, cilantro, cucumber, carrot, jalapeño). Combo and bbq pork sandwiches are da bomb! They leave a classic sweet & mildly hot classic Vietnamese taste on the palate. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Thai tea was perfect. Visiting from San Francisco and I was craving pho and this place hit the spot!!! Delicious Bahn Mi as well. Owners are super nice and hard working. People need to respect others and don't take advantage of small business owners. Difficult parking deters customers away and it'll affect the business. Family owned and no frills vibe. My partner and I were craving bahn mi and weren't in the mood to drive to our favorite place on federal, so we decided to check this out since we live in the area. We both ordered the bbq pork and got talked into trying their Vietnamese combo as well which was very tasty and probably my favorite between the two. The bread was made in house and was delicious. My only complaint is that I wish they had chili oil or sriracha to add on top but overall a very nice option in the area :) read more

I moved to Denver a year ago and I am grateful I found this place. I have had a few bằnh mis from other restaurants and they do not compare. Bánh mís should have a good crunch and this is the best I have had since moving here. It is disappointing ordering from other places and receiving soft bread with no pate! HOLY MOLY. LITERALLY THE BEST BANH MI. This is a literal hole in the wall place and people are sleeping on it. You know the food is good when they make their bread FRESH. The shop inside looks sketchy but take my word for it that it's so freaking good it feels like a secret you don't want to tell anyone about it. The service is great they are a family run business and are so nice and acknowledge all who come in. Try to come early because they can run out of bread and that takes about 2 hours to make! This place is great! I drove by it all the time, did not realize it was half convenience store half restaurant which was fun got some snacks in addition to sandwiches. The Bahn Mi was AMAZING! We made a reservation for 6:45 on Sunday, hoping to enjoy a family dinner, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When we arrived, several tables were still covered with dishes and glassware. Throughout our entire visit, the only employees we saw were one young woman and a man bringing takeout orders to the front. The young woman appeared to be handling nearly everything--seating guests, waiting tables, making drinks, and working behind the bar. We genuinely felt bad for her because she clearly needed help. Our drink order was incomplete, our water was never refilled, and it took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Although the dining room wasn't very busy, there was a steady stream of takeout and delivery pickups. At one point, a delivery driver returned because the order he had picked up was incorrect, so it had to be remade. I'm sure that was frustrating for him as well. The other employee seemed focused entirely on bringing takeout orders to the front and repeatedly walked past tables covered with dirty dishes without helping clear them. We ordered the crab rangoons, yellow curry, Thai basil fried rice with chicken, and two orders of pad Thai. The crab rangoons were the highlight of the meal, and the yellow curry was also very good. Unfortunately, the fried rice had almost no flavor, and the pad Thai noodles were mushy and lacked flavor as well. Our bill was also incorrect. By the time we left, it was nearly 8:00 p.m., and the same tables that had been covered with dirty dishes when we arrived were still uncleared. I never enjoy writing a review like this, and I genuinely hope the experience improves. The employee serving us was clearly doing the work of several people and needed more support. Between the long wait, limited service, disappointing food, and billing error, the experience put a damper on our family's evening. We probably won't return, and we're still searching for a great Thai restaurant.

The rolls were stuffed with avocados, pickled daikon, pickled carrots and lettuce -- it tasted super fresh and the employee said they prepare everything fresh daily. I got the well done brisket and flank pho, and it was really good. They bring a big plate of sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeños. The broth was delicious even before adding sriracha, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The bean sprouts did look on the browner side by a small bit and I don't know if it was dirt or not as fresh, but I didn't care, it was going to go in the pho and I eat everything anyways. The server also helped me pack my pho for leftovers, and separated the noodles and broth for me. Overall 10/10, can't wait to come back and try more.

I would personally recommend going to Federal for the real deal but if you're in the area and don't want to drive, this is a good choice. The broth of the pho was actually really good and had tons of flavor. My main complaint was the size of the "large" pho. It was closer to a medium or even a small of other restaurants I've been to but priced the same... I would've also liked to have chili sauce but they just had hoisin and sriracha. Service wasn't bad but we did have to call them over a few times even though it wasn't very busy that day.

Pho 2 love is located in the same large strip mall area as Casa Bonita, so parking is very abundant. I come here occasionally on my lunch break and have never ever had an issue finding a spot. The signage out front is very obvious as well so it's a piece of cake to find. Most times I've been in there haven't been too many other tables present, but as I mentioned it's usually during the week in the middle of the day so it's to be expected. The restaurant has always been very clean and tables are bussed quickly so there aren't ever dirty dishes or cups sitting around at empty tables. The dining room is super open so you don't feel like you're cramped in at all either. The gentleman I usually interact with is very polite and friendly, and I've noticed that the other staff exude the same kind of attitude so I've always felt very welcomed. I love nice people lol. Service has always been very quick as well, which is great for getting back to the office in a reasonable amount of time. The broth is delicious and always comes out piping hot, which is something I tend to judge pho on right out of the gate. The flavors are super awesome and consistent. I usually get either the veggie with tofu or the chicken and add veggies to it; I tried the rare steak and tendon bowl (with veggies) recently and it was also awesome. That one was a new experience for me but I'm glad I tried it. I usually also get the smallest bowl and almost always cannot finish the entire thing. This place is a relatively cheap eat and hits all the marks for me. I know I will be back!
