This company said my vehicle had safety issues, and they even gave an enormous price, with even more things they said was a requirement to fix...that I was willing to pay for. I ended up taking it to a shop and got done what it needed for 2grand. The vehicle is riding without an issue. The man who works your front desk was speaking for the mechanic and that lost your business money, if you care? If your shop isn't capable of doing the work, just say that. Don't disrespect a customer (I've had plenty of work done with multiple vehicles there). Did he sky rocket the price because they didn't want to do the work? I live in Fort Myers Florida, and my son was driving back to Marquette Michigan and had a problem with a tire. I had him drive into C&M Auto and they put his full-size spare on his RAV4 so he could get on his way. Thomas did not charge him for any of the services. I called several mechanics and every shop I called would reluctantly say, we can take a look at it and see what we can do(and they would say it with no confidence) or would say no we do not service that truck. I than call C&M and with utmost confidence they said, yes bring it in we can fix it, depending on parts that may be needed. Very nice people to deal with. Hard to fit wheels for new Tesla Model 3 performance with performance brakes as not a lot of info available. C&M is about as good as an auto-repair service gets. I've been going since I moved to the north-side of Chicago, and I couldn't be happier that I found this place a few minutes from my office in the northern suburbs. While I mostly get oil changes here, they are always friendly and willing to help out by offering shuttle service or a loaner vehicle (which I have only once possibly needed, and declined in favor of the shuttle). They are honest and do not try to sell you things that you don't need. It's refreshing to be able to go get an oil change and not be hassled about unrelated maintenance items like new wipers or tire rotations (except one time when I REALLY did need new tires (down to the cords), and they explained to me clearly why that was the case). I can trust this place to help me maintain my car ('07 Dodge Charger) and not just be out to drain my pockets. I haven't felt that before in a mechanic, but I'm liking that feeling. read more

C & M has my highest recommendation, I had issues with my steering shaft and they gave me a great price. Not only did they repair the shaft itself but they took the time to make sure that everything was correct before giving me back the truck. The mechanic wanted to take some more time to make sure everything was good, so they gave me a loaner for the day. What drew me to this establishment is that they are willing to come pick my car up at work - preform an oil change & bring it back. Who else offers service like that? I've been to a number of auto repair shops in the last few years and this is by far the best place around. They are informative, friendly, knowledgeable, and have a quick turn around time. I always feel confident that they do the best work possible on my vehicle. They also offer shuttle service or a loaner car. I've had my car in for repair at Car-Max and for a month, never offered a loaner car. This place does it without hesitation. Also, they accept my warranty - which some other places would not. I had the best possible experience ever. I was driving on the highway and my tires blew out and they were totally damaged. So i called everybody in the area and these guys were the best choice i ever made. They helped me find a tow truck and get to them safely, also they were able to help me in the best possible way, even though my tires were in really bad condition. They found a way to get me back on the streets and continue to my destination. I would definitely recommend you go there for all your car needs. So. I went into the shop as I had had decent service from them in the past, due to having a non-working washer fluid pump. I explained the issue, left the car, and was called saying that there is nothing wrong with it. When I picked up the car, I immediately tested the system, and it did not work. They took the car back in, looked at it again, and stated that it would be $300+ to replace this part. I had priced a replacement part for my car a few days before, and could purchase it for $19 at autozone. A repair estimator for this service lists the cost at $150 at the high end. http://repairpal.com/estimator/windshield-washer-pump-replacement-cost So, what they were saying, is that after they charged me $40 to not find the issue, they were going to charge me twice as much as the actual cost of fixing the problem, and not credit me for the $40 I spent to have them tell me that nothing was wrong. Oh, also, they attempted to upsell me on fluid changes that I didn't ask for. Remarkably unprofessional and low quality service, despite the overall cleanliness of the business. First thing is I can assure you I never got my free car wash which is the least of my concern but don't lie my is my thing, I took my car in to get a smoke test, spoke to chuck and mark they claim they did a smoke test but my paper work shows nothing about that it only state they drove my car and determinate I need a new MAF. I told Mark I just replaced that part no more than 1 month ago he claims because it's on a Denso part it's not a good enough part for my car paperwork shows I'm missing a MAF bolt....you mean they couldn't install a $5 bolt to make sure it's my MAF???. ok np I just replaced the part on my own because they wanted to charge me $110 for labor and if you know about cars to change a MAF takes literally 2 mins. Still having issues after replacing my MAF Anyway place seems like a scam I knew the reviews were to good for be true stay away find another mechanic. I was lied to and mislead by this place. I came here about 2 months ago because my boyfriend had changed my oil the night before and could not get the fuel housing cap off to change the filter. I called this place the next morning because it was already late and every auto shop was already closed. When I called them and asked if they could just loosen it up for me, they very nicely said yes. Most places are usually jerks when they realize they can't get money out of you, but they were not like that at all. I get there maybe 5 minutes after I called and the guy there told me to come with him so that he and the mechanic can show me how to do it correctly. I really appreciated that they were willing to even teach me how to do it. I stand there waiting to watch them take it off and after another 5 minutes of the mechanic struggling to take it off, they informed me that the cap has melted onto it and they will have to break it off. They showed me how they were able to tell. Sad beans...I guess they are getting money out of me but oh well...at least they were really explaining every step of the way to me. I know they probably wouldn't be able do that for everyone...I think they could for me since I was there at 7 in the morning and there was no one there but still the fact they were willing to explain all that to me, meant a lot. This place was recommended to me years ago by several of the guys from my office, so I gave them a try and have been coming here ever since. They have always provided great service to me and at times have gone above and beyond what would have been expected. They also provide loaners which is so great because I hate using vacation time from work just for a tune up or oil change. Outstanding service. Did not have an appointment however the wiper on the passengers side needed to be replaced. The team their replaced both at no charge since the wipers were under warranty. Please don't get me wrong about what I'm going to write. I've been your customer for past few years and your services have been very good except for the most recent charge of $180+ you have charged me for the passenger door knob and for installation and disposing the broken knob. I have found out that you charged a lot when the driver door knob broke so I did some research on my own and found that you have charged me way more what it should be. Myself I ordered a knobe for $11 you have charged me $48, cost me ZERO for disposing the item and you have charged me $8. Installation cost me $30 for 20 minutes job and you charged me $124 for installation and taxes. I don't think that was nice of you to take advantage of your customers to charge so much. read more
