It wasn't just a gate, it was a statement piece that elevated our home. I worked with Garry throughout the process, and his customer service was outstanding. He was responsive, punctual, and personable. The pricing was also very fair for the level of quality and custom work we received. Honestly, the saddest part about selling our house was having to leave that gate behind. This project was completed in 2021, and even though this review is long overdue (I thought I had already written one!), the fact that I still think about their work says everything. If you're looking for beautiful, high-quality custom work with great communication and fair pricing, Custom Customs is the way to go.

They charge their customers 11k for a STAPLED fence in an extremely windy area!! I know nothing about fencing but I do know you shouldn't use staples! They put two sides up and the very next day the one side had fallen over ( yes the neighbors dog jump on the fence.) They did come out and "fix it" with MORE staples and stated if he needed to come back out he would charge me more money! As time went on the other side of the yard's fence (where there are NO dogs) has completely fallen down in less than a year! You DO NOT build a fence with STAPLES!!! His business is only bonded for 2k. He is charging 5k plus per side of the yard and is using STAPLES. I just had my parents and boyfriend fix his mess!!!

I was told by Uttermost that I would have to buy a new mirror! I thought I was going to have to "junk" the expensive mirror that I'd really gotten attached to at the end of our dining room. Rudolf and Bruno took about five minutes looking at the mirror, its backing and frame. I could see the wheels turning in their heads to find a solution, and find a solution they did! Hallelujah! I thought it would require welding but they came up with another creative and super sturdy option. I was very happy with their professionalism, friendliness, efficiency and pricing and would not hesitate to call on them again for almost any other house project.

From the very beginning, I wasn't looking for a standard catalog door. I had a unique modern design in mind and wanted something that would become a true architectural feature of my home. I'll be completely honest because I believe reviews should help future customers. The communication during my project wasn't always what I had hoped for. After my initial measurements, several weeks went by without an update, and I eventually reached out to check on the status of my order. Since this was a custom project, I would have appreciated more proactive communication and a copy of the final approved design before fabrication. The biggest surprise came when I saw the door in raw steel before powder coating. I have to admit, I was genuinely concerned. Seeing unfinished steel in a fabrication shop is very different from looking at a rendering, and I wasn't convinced it was going to be what I had envisioned. I even questioned whether I had made the right decision. Thankfully...I was wrong. Once the door was powder coated in the beautiful dark copper vein finish and professionally installed, my entire opinion changed. The craftsmanship is excellent, the powder coating came out beautiful, and the installation crew absolutely knocked it out of the park. The door opens and closes as smooth as butter, the fit is excellent, and it completely transformed the appearance of my front entry. The installation team clearly took pride in their work, and it shows. Custom projects naturally come with a little anxiety because you don't truly see the finished product until the very end. In my case, the finished result exceeded my expectations, and I'm genuinely happy with the investment. I also appreciate Edgar reaching out after the installation to follow up. Was quoted by a different company $4,500 to replace it and that price was unacceptable as it cost me $8,200 to replace all my other windows including a new sliding patio door recently. So I found this company who was able to replace parts of it and save me a lot of money. A tech was sent out to measure and provide an estimate (sorry cannot remember his name) he quoted for all 6 pieces as I asked but told me I only needed to change 2 if I was going to do any of it. The 2 main pieces had dust and dirt in between the panes so I could never get the window clean. After I decided to move forward I scheduled the install and Marlo showed up and was very professional and polite. He did the job very quickly and when he was removing the 2 old glass panes we discovered that they had completely failed as the outer pieces of glass separated from the inner spacer in effect leaving me with single pane glass. He is a wealth of information and spent a lot of time with us on this part. He's not an in and out in an half hour company. NX Level helped me get my HOA paperwork together and did some mock ups to supply. They also photocopied brochures and information on colors/styles so the HOA wouldn't come back to me with more questions. The day before the job Craig and I picked up all the plants from the nursery so those could be set where I wanted them. The team thorough with measuring, spray painting locations and details so location was important for my vision. The team worked very hard on my project, and paid attention to detail on my pavers. They were able to lay 2 types (front and back yard) and 2 colors in the backyard (Holland style). They planted many trees and shrubs, and set up the irrigation on multiple valves to ensure even watering and hopefully a long life for my plants! They laid turf, which is perfectly flat and stretched. They built a step up patio, and included under step lighting, tree lighting and walkway lighting. Thanks to Craig, his son Braxton, Armando, Ramon and team I now have a sanctuary backyard to enjoy. 1000% would recommend them. Finally, they don't just do the job, they make sure it's done right and they make sure the client is happy (me). They fixed a few things I didn't like so now I truly love everything. We contacted Leo's Handyman Services as we had small cracks forming in our ceiling of our garage in…read morethe drywall seams where the tape was. We contacted Leo via Yelp, and received a response a short time later. Shortly afterwards, Leo came out to our home. He assessed the work, took some pictures and said his specialist can do the job, no problem. That should have been our first warning that Leo himself was not doing the work/repair and did not bring his specialist along for the initial review. He said, I'm an engineer and don't do that sort of work, but no problem he can do it, he'll make it look good, he's a specialist! We talked about how important it was to have our garage cabinets, tools, area where we have shoes and some outdoor furniture stored in the garage covered with plastic and that our newly done epoxy floor would need to be covered from the debris and dust. Leo said that they usually only cover the floor where the work would be done, his reply was it's a garage. We stressed in our conversation and also outlined in our response via text that it was important that it's covered if we hired him for the job. He agreed that it would be done. Later that evening he sent a message with the quote but did not send a contract or scope of work with his quote detailing the work (that should have been another red flag). So I responded with a message that specifically outlined our expectations of the job and what was to be done. He replied, yes everything outlined would be done. He then messaged me that his specialist would be at our home that following Thursday, which we agreed. Wednesday came around and Leo messaged us that his specialist was at another job previously and that he was doing such a great job, the client asked him to stay another day to do more work. He asked if he can come to us on Monday, we said no problem. He said he'd be there in the am on Monday, but would message us with the time frame on Sunday. Sunday came and Leo texted us indicating Simon will arrive around noon, ok no problem. Monday came and Simon showed up at 1pm, he brought his ladder, a drop cloth and only covered the door leading from the garage to our kitchen with plastic, and covered nothing else that we spoke of. After putting that up, Simon told my husband he needed to get some supplies and would be back in 20 minutes. Like what, why did he not come prepared in the first place. The job was straight forward, remove old tape, replace tape, add dry wall/mud, texture and paint (which we supplied the paint). Anyway, Simon left and came back an hour later, not 20 minutes. After returning he worked another 20 minutes and knocked on our door telling us he needed more supplies and would be back in 20 minutes????? He left and came back 20 minutes later. By now it's 3pm, he finished up around 6pm. When we went out to look at the work, it was a mess! He put drywall mud over the tape and used a textured paint roller to texture the areas that were done. We asked why he did not allow for the mud to dry then sand and texture and paint when it was all the way dried? He looked at us perplexed, and said texture spray is expensive and that his textured roller brush gave it a sprayed look. We said that, this is not what we agreed to and that 2 cans of texture spray would have covered it and cost around $20. He literally put tape, drywall mud and painted without allowing properly drying in between each process. The areas he did are noticeable. See photo. I then asked where was all the plastic to cover the areas we discussed with Leo, he could not answer. He spoke very little English so communication was difficult and very frustrating. We advised him he needs to clean up as everything was covered in drywall dust. He ran a shop vacuum for a few minutes and wiped a few areas down and left. Everything was covered in white dust, Everything! I tried to call Leo, but he did not take my call. So I texted him saying that Simon did not do what we discussed. In addition the work done looks worse than it did when the ceiling was cracking. The areas are lumpy and it's an eyesore. Leo finally responded that he and Simon agreed to do it the way he did it as it was more cost effective for them. Leo or Simon at no time never contacted us to change any part of what was agreed. He decided to cut corners without advising us otherwise. His word were they made the decision as it was just a garage. We understand that it would not look 100% the same, but he didn't even try to make it look even half way better. He said what can we do to make it right? To be honest, we just wanted he and his specialist gone. They literally fked up our ceiling and now we'll have to pay someone to fix it. We would not let him touch anything around our home with a 10ft pole. Shame on you Leo for taking our money and leaving us with shoddy work! I would think twice before hiring Leo's Handyman Services ! If we could give zero stars we would!

I have used Dave's company for many different project(3) over the last two plus years. Recently I asked for a full check up and servicing of my Gate opener. It had opening and closing issues. Some time it would stay closed and other times open and then close. For no reason known to me. Dave sent out a Tech (Andrew) and did a service on it. Couldn't find any problems. Cleaned and serviced the entire unit. Changed out the batteries. Still weeks later I am having the same problems as before or in other words, never resolved the issue. Called them back out and low and behold Andrew noticed that the sensor was clicking when trying to close. After checking the wiring and the cleaning of the lens the problem no longer exists. My reason for explaining all this was Dave's company came out a second time with no charges to me. That's backing up your company and your tech's work. When you have companies like this you really don't ever have to worry about professionalism. Other companies don't care. They just bill you for a second trip. He backed up his workmanship! Dave handled this correctly and I am happy with his company. I think anyone who is in need of garage, gates or fabrication work should consider them. They stood behind their work. read more

A few years ago, I needed to install two custom garage doors at my home. I shopped around and received numerous estimates, ultimately I hired to C & M. I can honestly say that I couldn't be any happier the both the garage doors and with C & M. Since then, I've called on them to service my rental properties as well, and just like with my primary residence, I couldn't be any happier. Frankly, I no longer call anyone else. Just recently, Riley, one of their technicians came out to adjust one of my doors and like the many others that I've worked with before, he was extremely competent and professional. And that's how I would describe everyone there at C & M. My experience with them has always been that they are HONEST, professional, efficient, fair, and friendly. Best Garage Door Service I have used. These guys are eons ahead of any other garage door company in the southern Nevada. I needed 5 large commercial roll up doors for my warehouse, as well as a custom gate manufactured and installed on the property. C and M builds everything in their factory in Henderson and the results were fantastic, even better than I imagined. C and M had my roll up doors ordered and installed with in 1 week and my custom gate built and installed with in 10 days. I was concerned about the installation and noise after it was completed. In fact, I was praying the door wouldn't come off and damage my vehicles from the change in noise. Sure enough on July 17, 2026, I contacted Southwest Doors and Gates office (Esmeralda) requesting warranty service ASAP because the door became disengaged and I was concerned about opening the door to get my vehicles out would cause damage to the door and vehicles. As requested I sent photos of the lift and bolt and noted the technician didn't put the clip/pin on the other side to hold arm/lever in place and the end result the door began disengaged and dropped. Esmeralda was unprofessional and told me if I want to pay $200.00 she can send a technician tomorrow, July 18, 2026 or wait until Monday, July 20, 2026 when they do warranty work. I even sent her the Warning Sticker on the door not to tamper with the door so I didn't touch the door and my vehicles remained in the garage and I didn't have any transportation. She didn't care and said I would have to pay $200.00 for the call tomorrow, July 18, 2026. I called Choice Home Warranty and they told me to call Southwest Doors and Gates because it was a warranty issue. I finally gave up on Southwest Doors and Gates / Choice Home Warranty and called an independent company. Thank goodness Open Sesame Garage Doors owner was sympathetic and arranged for a technician early AM on July 18, 2026. The technician identified the issue about the incorrect installation as well as other problems with the install. Originally when I spoke with Open Sesame Garage Doors owner and said that different Independent (Not Southwest Door & Gates) company was going to charge $65.00 he said he would honor it but I told him I was good with the $85.00 since he was sympathetic and would have someone on July 18, 2026 to resolve the issue. Also, I was going to sell my house but decided to stay, I asked Open Sesame Garage Doors to give a quote on both a single and double new garage doors. If decide to sell later, I will feel comfortable that the new owner will have quality doors and great company like Open Sesame Garage Doors.

I searched on yelp for garage door repair and found Swift Garage Door Repair and they were able to stop by the same day. This company was my second choice since the first company couldn't arrive until the following morning. I called around 5pm and they sent Mike who is the supervisor, and he arrived around 7. Mike was very friendly and provided the best customer service. He was honest and trustworthy, showing me the tension spring that was concealed by a steel tube that had rusted and broke off which caused the loud noise. Luckily, he had the parts in his truck and was able to repair it within an hour. I was amazed how fast he completed the repair, and he also helped me out to resolve the My Q app so I can remotely close and open on my phone without the clicker that I've been trying to solve on my own. I know other companies would have charged me extra. I will be calling Mike again for any future repairs and ask him to install a new upgraded modern motor in a couple of months. This company will not over-sell or overcharge like other companies. I'll also be referring this company to any of my neighbors or friends.
