Petersons worked on it for awhile til I had a transmission light. He put a transmission module for a Eurovan in it. The engine light remained on and I later had a transmission rebuild. The light remained and the mechanic found a transmission module for Rialta's. The light went out. I later confronted mike about it and he told me it was ok. I would not trust Petersons auto. Too many people have complained about it horrible workmanship and shotty work.

They told me not to drive it for my safety and I was able to get it to them the following week. The diagnostic process alone sold me, they take pictures of everything. Show you what problems exist and what you really need to fix or what can wait. They are family owned and you can tell they actually care, they want your vehicle to be safe to drive and don't try to oversell additional services. I felt comfortable and welcome during the whole process. I wouldn't say they are cheep but they are fair, efficient, kind and get the job done right.

The dealership has been around for a long time and it has done a lot of good for the community. You can tell the family that owns it cares. It was also very clean inside. Nic is very good at his job. He talked us through everything, showed us only what we asked to see (the first vehicle was the winner), and at no point did we ever feel pressured to make a purchase. We had to wait a while to see the person in the finance department after we had chosen a vehicle so we simply sat at Nic's desk and chatted with him. As I mentioned above, we left the lot with the vehicle we wanted. Nic was very kind and helpful throughout the whole process and even sent me a text later that day, thanking us and letting us know we can contact him with any questions. I tried to get them to correct price as used and to get milage corrected for warranty concerns. Neither was done. Being a "new" car I was told it came with oil changes as long as I owned the car. Went in last week for oil change preparing for a trip. Quick lube was all torn up for remodel or some changes. They said they could do it in the main shop for $149. ?? Also asked them about a noise in the indoor fan. I was pretty sure there was something in the fan that should not be. They said it would be $99 to put it on the scope to check, plus whatever the repair cost was. Told them I would need to wait a bit. Took the car back about 2 months later. The cost now to put it on the scope was $250. No way did I have the money, and they should have honored the $99 they had told me. Especially since I was almost positive what it was since I had had the same problem on another car. Needless to say, I walked out. Took it to a friend opening a new shop. He had a friend put it on a scope. Problem was exactly as I thought. I bought a new filter and they put in for me. Took less than 30 minutes. All at a cost lower than the original $99. Still want to do business with Ruddell?

My 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan with just under 60,000 miles on it dropped into "limp" mode driving up…read morethe Fairholme hill on my way home to Forks. I had to drive it home in 2nd gear. When I started it the next day, it no longer went into limp mode. I crossed my fingers, hoping it had "fixed itself," but a few days later it happened again. I called Tranco and talked to Mitch. He explained that "limp" mode can be caused by many things, but gave me a few things to look for. He also explained how to check the transmission fluid level, since the van doesn't come provided with a dipstick. He suggested that I take the van to a local garage so that they could put it on a scanner to make sure that the problem was transmission-related. I took his advice. The problem was transmission related, but it wasn't always there. It would drive fine one day, then go to "limp" mode the next. I called back to Tranco and talked to Brian. He explained that it's difficult to diagnose an intermittent problem. I explained that I couldn't trust driving the van anymore. He checked for technical service bulletins. He saw that there was an available control module update, but the Dodge dealer would have to do it. When I told him how far away I lived, and asked if he could help me get it fixed, he agreed to let me leave the van long enough for them to drive it enough to diagnose and repair it. So I dropped it off for a couple of weeks. He made the appointment at the dealer and got the update done. The module update added diagnostic capability. That, combined with driving the van like it was his own when he had a reason to go somewhere, enabled him to diagnose the problem with confidence. One of the clutches in the transmission was sloppy -- basically worn out. Brian clearly explained how he'd come to the conclusions that he had, and clearly described what they would do to make sure that the problem was properly fixed. My background includes having run my own garage for 26 years, and having been an ASE-certified master mechanic. Everything Brian said to me made sense. I told him to go ahead and rebuild the transmission. The price was reasonable, especially considering the good service they had already provided to me. We got the van back three months ago. I'm pleased to say that the transmission performs astoundingly well. It's better now that it was when we bought it. The shift points are so smooth that they're barely detectable. It drives like a different vehicle. I've fixed and replaced a lot of Dodge van transmissions in my life, but none of them drove as well as the one that Tranco built for me. Their rebuilder is a master builder. Their service is topnotch.
