I came here with big group(8 people), we were hesitant to stay upon our arrival at the store but the waitress was attentive and quick to make the spot for us within 10 minutes or so. We ordered Matcha sundae, Durian pochette, creme brulee, sesame sunda and mango snowdae. They were all amazing but my favorite was Durian cream pastry. I've never had durian dish before and this tasted amazing - super soft, creamy and flavorful! If you haven't had tasted Durian before, it almost tastes like combination of sweet onion and sweet potato. I noticed that they also offer savory dishes like pizza and fried stuffs which I can't wait to go back and try. I came here with a friend on a Tuesday night around 7pm after dinner and was seated right away. The atmosphere is very trendy and cute and the service was very attentive. We ordered the Honey Pomelo Tea to start off with. They serve it in a teapot over a candle so it stays hot and cute little double-layered teacups that won't burn your fingers. Like what another reviewer said, the place is laid out like a standard bubble tea/dessert shop but they serve you rather than having you order at the counter. Tried their taro shaved snow, fried chicken wings, and Oreo matcha drink. The shaved snow came with an assortment of fruit and did not melt. I'd pass on the chicken wings (or any of their fried savory items in general) because it wasn't particularly special. Got the Oreo matcha with cheese foam on top. I asked for half sugar and the drink definitely reflected that. The matcha flavor is pretty strong so I ended up wishing that I had asked for more sugar in my drink. You can get the drinks with either cheese foam or durian on top. I haven't been to another dessert shop in Allston which offers durian, so it's good to know that they offer this! I've been here for awhile now and the shaved snow bowls are always good. I'm from Hong Kong so i love going here for their mango coconut sago. There is no complaint about food but service is not consistant. Yesterday the waitress was constantly on her phone when we blatantly stared at her to see if she can take our order. I get that it's slow season but at least pretend you're working. Once it got a bit busy it felt like we were being rushed out. Just overall not a pleasant experience. After falling in love with shaved ice in Taiwan, I always wanted to find a local place that was comparable. C fruit life isn't the same but it was good enough to satisfy a craving. I really like this place. The food is top notch. The customer service/policies leave a lot to be desired and is pretty irritating. When you order at the stand, you have to specify if you want to take out or dine in. However, it's open dining. This means that when it gets busy, you are not guaranteed a seat. If you decide to do take out because there are no seats, they forbid you from sitting down at one of the tables because it's for "dine in only" and that's why they "asked if you wanted to dine in to begin with". Personally, I don't understand this ridiculous policy when there is no table reservation policy. It was the most frustrating thing I have ever heard and the worst excuse ever. Get a better reason for not allowing your customer, who has already paid, to sit down in your establishment because their food is packaged as to-go instead of presented on a dish. I always crave these sorts of Asian desserts, so I was super excited to try this place out and I was pretty happy with it! We ordered the mango snowdae, which I thought was really good!!! It came with a variety of different toppings like lychee jelly which we lovedd and it was a pretty good portion size too! We also ordered the crystal bubble harbor which had grass jelly and sago (two of my FAVORITE things), but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Personally, it wasn't quite sweet enough for me, but I still thought it was pretty good! Last minute choice of grabbing some dessert at the area after getting some Korean food for early dinner. My friend took me here and it was her second time at the place. Ive been wanting to come here too for the longest time but didn't get the chance to visit. So the time finally came. It's was the weekday so it was pretty slow. My son who has celiac went there to eat and ordered the wings. He asked if the wings were breaded and the person at the register said they didn't know but would go check. They came back and said no, they hit put them in the fryer. My son ate them and is now home throwing ups, very sick. A nice Hong Kong style bubble tea/dessert place that has a wide variety of sweets. Unlike many other bubble tea shops in the Brighton/Allston area, C Fruit store is bright, spacious, and comfortable - perfect for having a sit-down afternoon tea with girlfriends (or a date!). Their menu has pictures of each item which was helpful for my boyfriend who was not all that familiar with Asian desserts. We tried two things from the menu - Almond Soup (made with almond purée and powdered sugar) and Sphere's Edge (coconut milk with black sticky rice and taro). Both were tasty and they give you a little candle burner to keep the bowl warm. The portion is on the smaller side, but I think it's still reasonable given the $5.5 price. I've been here three times so far, though if it was closer to my school campus, I probably would visit more. I love all the Hong Kong style desserts they have here! The first time I came, I brought about ~7 other people with me. Most of them haven't tried asian desserts before, so they were very intrigued. In the end, most of the group ordered snowdaes (1 per person). As each snowdae is pretty large, I would recommend splitting one versus buying one per person. I had a durian sago, and split a mango pochette with a couple other friends. They were all delicious, and everyone left happy. The server was also super nice. There was a lot of random food restrictions in my group (lactose intolerant, vegetarian, coconut allergy etc.) and she was willing to answer all my questions and concerns. The second time I came, I split a 10" durian pizza with a friend. I've been wanting to get the pizza for a while, because I love durian and really wanted to try it in pizza form. Essentially, the durian pizza is similar to a normal cheese pizza, but the tomato sauce was replaced by durian. I was actually surprised, because I went in assuming the durian was going to be a topping. Both of us ended up being pretty full with half a pizza, and were very happy with our meal. The last time, I came alone to study and get work done. I came after eating dinner nearby, so I just had some tea, the teapot of honey pomelo tea. It came in a cute teapot that sat above a candle, so the tea was always warm. The cups I got were a little small, only a couple sips of tea, so I had to keep refilling my cup. Other than that, I really enjoyed the tea itself; it was not overly sweet, but had good flavor. There's also wifi so I was able to do work. The store was a little noisy so it was hard to concentrate. Finally, we get a Hong Kong dessert shop in Boston! The decor is cute -- love the artwork. The bowls and plates all have their logo on it and they use the temperature color changing spoons which adds a cute touch to the desserts. Crispy Milk Cake: They gave a little bit of condensed milk and mayo as dipping sauce. I wasn't too impressed. When I bit into one of the pieces, the inside was still solid and not as creamy as I hoped it would be. Mango Snowdae: Strong mango taste! Mango Sago: Yummy! I love this place! I like both Grapefruit Tea and White Peach Tea! I normally ask for no ice and 50% sugar. For the White Peach Tea it tasted better after I let it sit there for about 30mins.
