Just finished getting my nails done. Not the best experience I have had and doubt I'll be going back. Arrived at about 11:30 on a Saturday. Everyone was with a client so I waited my turn. I figured I would be waiting for a bit considering it was a Saturday, so that wasn't a big deal. About 15 minutes later one of the techs took me to his chair to start on my mani. A few minutes into it another woman took over and this, my friends, is where we had a problem.. It took her all of 5 minutes to put 4 coats of nail polish on and then she turned on a fan and told me "10 minutes" and walked away. What!?! As I sat there with a cold fan blowing on me and my nails, I took a peek at the nails and saw the creasing from the wind being blown on them. I figured, though, that it would either go away, or they would be doing it over again.. My friends, the creasing went away *sigh of relief*. I left about 15 minutes later and then noticed tiny bubbles on a few of the nails.. I didn't pay a ton of money, but REALLY?! I didn't bother to go back in; I just know where I will not be going to get my nails done.. If you are on Yelp because you don't know where to go, then here it is!! Highly, highly reccomended!! I am very picky about the nail spas I go to since I have been getting a full set/fill, unique paint design, every few weeks for the last 8 years. I also move alot so I have seen it all and when I find a good place, I stick with it, even if it means a drive. When I first moved to Camarillo, I drove around to the main nail salons that popped up in a city seach. CK is by far one of the top 3 salons I have ever been to as far as price, service, professionalism and cleanliness. The first person who did my nails was Brian who, from what I can gather, owns the shop with his wife Kathy. He told me that they were new to the area and had a hard time picking up a clientel since most people were already loyal to their regular salons but everyone I have seen in there since my first visit loves them and they make a concerted effort to learn everyone's name. Their cleaning procedures are like none I have ever seen before. They disinfect and sanitize all of their tools with a sanitizer and UV light process and repackage them. They clean, scrub and sanitize all of their spa pedicure tubs after each and every use. If you set up an appointment and they get too busy to take you when planned, they call YOU to let you know, not just make you sit there and waste your time until they have time for you like most other places. I have been more than impressed after every visit and will keep going back! read more

Worst mani and pedi I ever had. So I'm new to the area and this will be my second salon I've tried out. I came on a Friday afternoon, they sat me right away. The lady hardly scrubbed my feet and since I told her no on the callus remover ( an extra 7 bucks!) she didn't put any effort. She didn't filr my nails down like I asked either. I could have done a better job myself. Then to top it off the mani lady gave me a crap ass manicure while I was sitting in the pedi chair, and she was rushed the whole time. I wish I left the polish on to show you why a shit job she did. I can paint my own nails better than she did. 2 days later my cuticles look like crap. Then when I pulled out my credit card, wow what a response!!!! They were so pissed!!!! Get over it salon, we all pay taxes..... read more

I went to get the gel off my nails and the lady who helped me took out the tinfoil, but instead of using it she just started peeling the gel off my nails. I asked her "isn't that bad for my nails?" and she said no and kept going. Another lady came over and told her to use the nail polish remover and tinfoil so she began that (while shaking her head). When she took the tinfoil off she started to try and peel the gel off again instead of using the dremel! She began to alternate between trying to peel it off and using the dremel on each nail. I had to ask her 2-3 times to please stop peeling the gel off. At the end she told me it was $10. I told her she had to be kidding, that it should be $5. She spoke with 2 other people and they decided on $10.. even though I had to tell her how to take the gel off. Left the $10 with no tip and probably won't be back. read more

Got a pedicure from Anne, my 1st time. She gave me a great massage, put more pressure on when I asked for it. My toes look great, Joe was really nice too. Nice massage chair. Pretty clean. My only suggestion would be for them to turn on the a.c. or put a fan in the place- it was a bit toasty today in Camarillo so the salon was just a bit warm. Not terrible but some air circulation would help what with the nail fumes (which I only noticed when I 1st walked in- didn't knock me out but I have a pretty good nose). I recommend them- was not busy on a Monday at 6:45pm but it's probably good to call in advance. read more

This is the only place in Camarillo I will get my nails done. I usually get my nails done by Brian (I think that's his name). He is always so friendly and funny. I don't go as often as I should but he always remembers me and asks me where my fiance is (who has come with me a couple times). The place may look a little bare, but what it lacks in fancy decor it makes up for in service.
