Had them out for an inspection and he showed us pictures he took of droppings from termites in our attic. My husband went in our attic the next day and the pictures we were shown were not of our attic configuration. I feel he uses those same pictures to prove termites. read more

Chris Luce is very pleasant and professional. I was able to get an appointment right away unlike Terminix I had problems making an appointment with them since nobody called me back that I had to make some follow up calls. After my complaint, someone from Terminix called me to set up for inspection at 8-10am. The day came for the inspection but nobody showed up. I was so upset and cancelled the service. I saw their reviews and learned that they have the habit of not showing up. Least they could do is call their customers for whatever reasons. That was very unprofessional ! Thanks to CA Luce! This is genuine non compensated honest review. C.A. Luce Termite Control (Chris) was the company we had come out first for an estimate on our termite problem. We had several companies come after Chris came from C.A.Luce Termite Control, for an estimate but they couldn't provide the same better services or cheaper pricing. The Fumigation Company we went with was our first choice, NO other fumigation company offered what Chris had/has at C.A.Luce Termite Control. Having your home fumigated is never anything that anyone wants to do, it is such an inconvenience, not to mention the cost. First off opening your home to strangers is never without some trepidation or level of stress. Second you know that unless you are willing to stay in a RV, a tent, or your vehicle on your property for a few days, leaving your home after hearing the horror stories of break-ins or burglaries during fumigation is always in the back of your mind. Having someone going through your personal space is never a calming feeling should they decide during your fumigation to don a gas mask and make their way into your home. Once they get into your home at night, they can have total control of your home without a single worry, because everyone outside your home is/are asleep, there are even stories of the thieves breaking in during the day when you aren't there. Well at C.A. They also place a sign on your property letting people/thieves know that your home is being monitored and recorded by cameras. Now for any repairs from Termite damage, again Chris has the best team of professionals, Lee and Diego are professional carpenters/framers, who pay big attention to detail and profection. They not only repaired and replaced the termite damaged and rotted fascia board and the wood under the eaves, they even matched the paint already on our house, and took care of painting the newly installed wood pieces. When Rick came to explain the fumigation process he was very thorough explaining the bagging process answering all questions and concerns to what we needed to expect and do, and helping us on the day of tenting what we still needed to double bag, and he provided all the bags we needed. Oh, and Chris's estimate was the lowest of all the companies we had come.Chris didn't try to up sell us on other repairs which was impressive as well. Never did we feel pressure or uneasy. Now the others Jennifer, and Michelle are also top notch responding promptly to my questions or concerns and showing a genuine respect, and courtesy for the customer's satisfaction. I had 6 different termite company's give me a bid on my termite work. After reviewing all the bids I hired CA Luce. Chris was extremely honest about the work that I needed done. I had a few inspections that were out of the ball park. From $3500 to $580.00 with Chris for the same work. Chris sent out his men to do the work they were very nice and professional. They explained to me what they were doing and repainted and filled all those nasty poke holes that the company's do when they inspect. They cleaned up and when they left you could never tell that I had any work done. I am extremely happy especially after seeing how many company's try to take your dollar for the same exact work as what Chris did. Everyone knows the challenges of home ownership, imagine the challenge from being in another state or another country. I called Michelle at C. A. Luce based on Yelp reviews and boy am I happy I did. Chris added my inspection in on the same Friday as I called and according to the tenant was amazingly thorough. They said that they had never seen a service company provide such a tremendous attention to detail. After I got the report, Chris called to follow up and gave me an even more detailed description of what he looked at than what was extensively covered in the report. I highly recommend CA Luce Termite Control. Chris came out to do the preliminary inspection and estimate. Rick took over from there. The office staff, Michelle and Jennifer, were always pleasant with my questions and emails. The camera system we elected to have installed by CA Luce helped tremendously. We were able to be notified when the termite supervisor was in our house and gave us a good gauge of when we could return to our home. It is well worth the add-on price. The only advice I can give to homeowners is the tenting process takes its toll on your landscaping close to your house. We had broken plants and broken drip irrigation. Nice job taking care of my termites. CA Luce wasn't the least expensive bid I received - but what sold me on them was their addition of a security camera system. Five wireless cameras were set up to monitor the interior of my home and I could monitor any of the cameras remotely with my cell phone from their on-line app. Any motion in the home was recorded and pinged my phone. I loved it ! The tent guys were very professional and I had zero (as in none) roof tiles damaged. Plus my satellite dish came thru without a problem. I'm sorry to have to write such a negative review on a company. I requested a quote in May 2016 and received one that seemed reasonable. I finally got around to scheduling it now, 9 months later. No problem scheduling and a person came out to do a check on the property and give instructions about the fumigation. The guy said that the tent could cover a side gate and a small wooden structure in the setback as long as I got signed permission from my neighbors for workers to drape the tent over the fence line. I got the permission; however the company then changed their mind and told me I'd have to remove the gate and structure. In addition they basically called me a liar and said I had built the structure after the quote was given. When I told them the structure had been there for 8 years, they said the wood looked too new to be that age. In addition they said the quote was done 2 years ago; when in reality it was done 9 months earlier. So I canceled the job and will go with someone else. read more

I scheduled a time for an inspection three days in advance & then the night before the inspection appointment they called to try to reschedule the time. When I couldn't meet them at the new time they said they will need to cancel the appointment because she double booked the inspector with a past client that I guess has priority. If they are that flaky up front it is a good thing I'm not hiring them. You would think they would try to make it work even if the inspector has to work a bit later that day. I wouldn't care as much if I didn't need to get the work done asap so the painter can paint the house. Oh well their loss. read more

The guy Chris gets temper from some other area and applies to customer. very disappointed since I find him from Yelp here, doesn't live up to stars ====6/2/2013==== I will change the review score to 3 since Chris starts to acknowledge the issue after 1 and half month. and wish Chris will do well for his customers with all star standard. not sure whether other customer feels this way, but I would feel it is like an insult to customer being to customer's door and refuse to come in because customer forgot to mention community is gated and already apologized at the time. I took leave from work and drove from another place to wait for the service that day. but a few things after the event remind me to put some suggestion here: when a company takes effort in internet advertising, it should take good care of customer the way it sets as standard for its company's review. Luce termite control was just terrific with our tenting yesterday! They were very professional, helpful, Communicative,and delivered everything as contracted. It's a very tedious proposition to get the house ready for termite tenting but everything was explained in great detail and care. What set this company apart from the others that I interviewed was their surveillance cameras that they put in the house during the tenting to avoid any robberies that might take place. You feel so vulnerable having to be out of the house for two nights that it was very comforting to know there were motion sensing cameras inside the house. They also offered a drone camera view of the roof to see if there had been any broken tiles during the procedure. No one else had that. And the tenting company that they worked with took a lot of care to make sure they took good care of the roof tiles. We only had two that were slightly cracked and they fixed them before we even got back in the house. I highly recommend this company both with their expertise and good value pricing! read more

Although this vendor is competitive and provides adequate upfront customer service, once you pay them, they lack the type of customer service one would expect when paying 2,000 for a service. If you decide to use this company, inspect your entire home (interior and exterior) before and after the service and document any damage caused by the vendor. We experienced damage to our roofing tiles, plants, and exterior awning. Further, if you contact the vendor to remedy damages, don't expect them to be proactive or forthcoming. I was denied by the owner of the company stating they didn't believe a heavy tarp used for tenting home caused the damage to my awning when nothing else is near the structure that could have caused it....very odd statement. read more

I called around a couple of places and CALuce was able to come out the quickest, and even after a couple of bids they ended up being the cheapest for a whole house fumigation.
