I'm surprised I haven't wrote about this place. This CAB meat Market is a hidden gem in Garden Grove next to BCD tofu house and arirang market. Own by the local Vietnamese Family, it sells some of the best marbled meat at a reasonable price. This butcher meat store has ribeye that is sliced thinly enough for pho at an affordable price as well as various other meats in the refrigerator such as brisket, seasoned marinated short ribs (galbi), probably venison and goat meat if you ask. Each meat has a great amount of intramuscular fats that melts in your mouth as you eat pho or even Shabu. I would buy 2 pounds of this every time, enough for a family of 4 or 5. I can see behind the counter that the butchers are busy slicing the meat away daily. If they don't have it in the fridge, they will slice it for you as you order. You can tell this place is honest and quality by the amount of yelp stars it has! That's very rare. read more

At my first visit, the man at the register recommended types of meat and helped us out in English, but my second visit I had to use some of my broken Vietnamese as the lady at the register did not speak English. The price per pound beats the nearby grocery stores by several dollars, with quality on the upper end of choice if not prime. The marbling is pretty consistent across the variety of meats without excessive fat. They also have a variety of marinated meats for Korean bbq as well. The workers are very friendly and helpful. I was looking for some pork belly but they were fresh out, and was told the next time it'd be cut up and they're also available to call and check ahead. This place is solid!!! Not everything is on display so you'll have to ask if you have specific meat needs. We have tried their lemongrass chicken and pork as well as the filet shaken beef. All 5/5!!! The chicken isn't dry after grill or cooking in the stove which is a huge plus. This makes meal prepping soooo much more convenient. I've tried buying regular meats at Costco to meal prep but it lacks flavor and I get bored. This place is super convenient and great for that. Plus my kids love the flavoring too. One of my favorite mini butcher shops here located in Korea Town in Garden Grove is definitely a gem worth mentioning. A buddy of mind had referred me this place since I was looking for a place that serves slices of beef for hot pot/shabbu(before Costco slices of shabbu beef became a thing). I went here and absolutely fell in love with this place. They serve a variety of beef products such as: beef shanks, beef bones, beef balls, fillet mignon, beef tongue and other marinades meats like short ribs, and lamb. They also provide frozen seafoods like scallops, shrimp and green mussels in the freezer The owners are very friendly and are willingly to help you out so if you are undecesive on what to pick. Customer service is fantastic as always and never had any issues with them. The slices of meats comes in about a 2lb per tray, but if you need more, you can always call in advance to make an order and they will do it for you. It's recommend to call them about a day in advance so they have enough meats to slice for you, but if you're just looking for 1.5-2 lbs then they should have pre-sliced trays for you to come by and pick up; but get them while they have them on hand because they run out quite frequently if you come around closing time. Not sure then give them a call and they'll let you know before you drive all the way down there. Saves me time and money which is a winner in my book! This place has become my go to place to pick up high quality and inexpensive meats for my dinner events. So glad I found this place and would recommend anyone who needs a good butcher! We bought non-marinated short ribs and brisket. To cut a little more cost, we marinate our own short ribs at home.
