    Lumpia Salad
    Gina G.

Super solid experience at The Lumpia Company in Oakland. I heard Lumpia Company was now located at Brooklyn Basin, so I enjoyed a trek to the unknown. It seems that The Lumpia Company and a coffee spot across the way are the only current inhabitants of the area, but it's such a huge place, hoping more foot traffic and business life come along soon. The Brooklyn Basin def has the makings of something great. The Lumpia company space is so big! They sell frozen items, NA drinks and beer/wine, merch, have arcade games, TVs, and a stage/event space also outside. You order and pay at the register, then wait for your number to be called. I ordered the Chicken Shanghai lumpia and the Lumpia Salad. Honestly, worth the drive! The Lumpia Salad is unlike anything I've ever tried ~ it had a variety of beautiful greens, corn nuts, topped with crisp lumpia wrappers and a Calamansi Sweet Chili Vinaigrette. Nice on a hot afternoon. The lumpia were flavorful and also super filling/crispy. Perfect with the dipping sauce. And also a nice snack on the drive with heavy traffic home :) There's a lot of other items on the menu including rice bowls, chicken wings, garlic noodles, Filipino Mac-Ghetti, grilled plates, and Dole Whip. Looking forward to coming back with the family and exploring more of this part of Oakland.

I absolutely loved my time here. When I went there was live music with singing and ukelele and trumpet playing. They also bought extra ukeleles for folks to learn how to play! Lots of space inside and out. Nonexistent parking so be prepared to walk or park where the hotels are. Food was delicious!! I've never had lumpia like this. Highly recommend it and their fries! Drinks are plenty too. They even service ice cream?! Yeah you need several visits to experience this place.

The restaurant is empty including employees so there is no reason for the long wait

Thought I was going to grab a quick bite, ordered chicken and garlic noodles and was second in line to order. I waited an hour for my order to be ready, you would've thought they caught the chicken themselves. The owner sat and watched as his employees got off of work and complained when he was told he had to cook. Don't even think about going in with cash because they don't keep any in their drawer and don't tell you until after you order. On top of everything the music is so loud that you can barely hear yourself ordering.

Wonderful place to go for a variety of lumpia type food! One complaint I had was impressed that they had regular bananas in their Turon , a special type of small banana Filipino lumpia. I expected this special type of banana inside. When I asked them if the banana was the baby bananas from the Philippines, they said yes. But upon ordering one to go and my Turon Lumpia, it was not it was just a regular banana!

Tried Lumpia Company for the first time and had a great experience. The location of their businesses is prime and picturesque as it's located overlooking the water. Plenty of space to go for a nice stroll and or sit down to enjoy your meal. The food was super good. Prices were affordable for the quality, taste, and amount you get. Service was great as well. Staff were friendly and they even busted out Karaoke mics which led to more people coming in and really gave the business a community feel and vibe. I love this place and will be back soon! Super relaxing, fun and chill atmosphere. Great place to take your kids as well. Wishing them longevity and success in their business as it's well deserved!

Food is fresh to order. Savory, and I enjoyed the play on the sweet sauces with the fried stuffs. The chicken Tinola lumpia is one to try! I think they nailed it. Pork & shrimp Shanghai was great quality. My friend really enjoyed the pork belly chips, it was served with this pineapple dipping sauce. The bistek bowl was delicious, everything was seasoned well. Service was friendly- got to meet Ricky one of the friendliest servers & the other owner, Alex. Ambiance is def a sports family bar situation. We'd come back!

My issue was the customer service. I ordered chicken lumpia and pineapple frozen dole whip. They called our number but only the lumpia was ready. We were told that the Dole Whip was still freezing. My bad, I guess I should've asked beforehand if the frozen whip was ready (it's 4:30pm btw). 20min later, I decide to ask for my money back. Tell me why he proceeds to let me know that the pineapple side isn't working. That it seems to be clogged up. But the strawberry and the strawberry pineapple swirl is working if I wanted that instead. So had I not walked up to the register requesting a refund, would I still be sitting there waiting? There were only 4 people in the whole restaurant. Yet no one came to tell us a thing. On another note. Brooklyn Basin has a great atmosphere. The lumpia Company has a jackpot location. It seems like a dope spot to sit and watch some sports.

Grew up with a Filipina auntie who made me a bit of a lumpia snob lol so while in town for the weekend I was glad I was able to stop by. First, I love this location and that they have a bar. There were lots of people inside and outside watching the game, kids playing the arcade games in the back... nice, communal set up. Now the customer service was interesting. Waited for quite a while before someone took our order. Several people behind the counter, but that greeting took a min. As a first timer, we kept making sure we were in the right spot to order because we were confused a bit by the wait. Eventually our order was taken. We tried the chicken and cheeseburger lumpia and Filipino BBQ chicken wings. Overall, the chicken lumpia was our favorite. The wings were good with the sauce provided. To us, they were a little on the sweet side without the sauce to balance it out. I'll be back to try the other lumpia. My brother also said a couple of the rice plates are good as well so may try that on my next visit. With regard to parking, good luck lol.

The Lumpia Company holds such a special place in my heart (and stomach, of course). There are not a ton of Filipino restaurants in the East Bay, but the Lumpia Company gives me exactly what I need every time I'm there. Every bite brings up a lot of nostalgia & is packed with flavor. I often find myself here when the Warriors are playing, because they're usually playing it on their big screen out on the patio area or at their bar. Who wouldn't want to snack on Lumpia, Pork Belly Chips, and Macghetti while they're watching the game? Pro Tip: Use the pork belly chips to scoop up some Macghetti for the perfect bite!! The first time I tried the Pork Belly Chips was earlier this year. For about $10 you get a heaping pile of thinly sliced, lightly battered then deep fried pork belly. You have the option between Sinigang (tamarind seasoning) and Adobo (soy sauce and vinegar seasoning). The sinigang is my favorite! It also comes with a side of seasoned vinegar & sweet chili sauce for dipping. I always get the Macghetti too. You definitely have to order it Kuya size. This last time around, we got it 'hella hot' and it tastes like they mix in some Buldak Sauce. Such good combination!!! It definitely packs a punch though. Sometimes we like to mix it up and add a fried egg to it (totally forgot this time). The owner is usually helping out around in the dining area, bar, and kitchen. I've never been able to catch his name, but he is always so hospitable & very dedicated to his restaurant. I am so grateful that the Lumpia Company brings the community together from homemade meals to a fun game night. They even host comedy nights as well! I'll definitely be joining for a good laugh at their next one.

Stopped in to grab a few frozen bags for the holidays. It wasn't too busy and the selection was running low but luckily they had my favorites in stock! The jalapeño poppers are my favorite but now I get to try the Serrano poppers and I'm excited about it since I love spice!

Originally went to their old location as we saw their sign. Walked into their old spot and the guy looked at a group of Filipinos and said "you guys must be looking for the lumpia company" lol yes sir, we saw the sign posted up.... Anyhoo, we traveled to the actual spot at the port of Oakland. There is a tight parking lot in front of the building so don't waste your time looking for parking on the streets. Once you walk to the facility, you are amazed by free video games to play and practically empty refrigerators. I'm not sure if the time we came was around closing time but the workers did not want to be there. We asked what there specials were as it was stated on the menu "ask what our specials are" ...... do you dare to ask, see what type of response you get! We ordered a bunch of various lumpia's, arroz caldo, fries and drinks. It was aight...

If you like truck stop food this is the place for you! Nothing wrong with that but the first experience was that. This local apartment complex that sits on a huge empty space that could be developed into a neiborhood community center and also a fight against the "food desert" dilemma that Oakalnd has. THANKS PORT OF OAKLAND! A valent attempt to bring in the huge multi complex community in for sports viewings, wine, beer (no hard alcohol) and fried food. The staffing needs improvement but hopefully when I pass by on a busy event I will see what's doing then. Seating is ample inside and out depending on the weather. More on the second visit...

I love this location at the Port of Oakland. Even though there's a parking lot and street parking, it might be a little challenge. It's a big open space, inside and out with lots of seating. This is a prime spot right on the waterfront. It's too bad it was dead af on the recent Saturday night we were there though. All the tvs had games on and his music playlist was dope. I can see how it would be lit when there's a special event going on. They've got a great speaker system, and I'm pretty sure they're set up for karaoke too. IYKYK! Maybe when the Warriors start up, it will be a different scene, or maybe it's crowded on Sundays for football? There is a mini (literally) arcade that you can play for free. There's a separate bar and food counter. They also have a big fridge section of canned/bottled drinks and bags of frozen lumpia. We ordered the original chicken wings, which I thought were perfectly fried and crunchy, lightly seasoned. My husband said they needed more seasoning to which I replied "you wanted the "plain" wings!". They have other flavors/rubs/seasonings available. We got cheeseburger lumpia and the pork & shrimp shanghai lumps. Funny I read my first review of the Lumpia Co when they had the little takeout shack and those were the same flavors I ordered. And I wasn't too impressed. But then I remembered ordering the same ones at the Lumpia Co' cart at the SF Giants game, and they were super good! So this time, I liked the cheeseburger ones and thought they tasted like a cheeseburger. But the shanghai ones, I didn't like as much. I saw they still had the chicken tinola lumpias on the menu, but I didn't get them. TBH we stopped by here for a snack before our dinner reservations, so next time we visit, I'm def ordering half the menu and different lumpias! I also got a beer flight, mainly for the calamansi and ube flavored ales. You can choose 4 of 6 options. All were good, except, surprisingly the ube was my least favorite. I love the Lumpia Company and will always support my peeps when I'm in the Bay. Wishing them all the luck for success and a long stay!

Do they sell them frozen to cook and eat later? I checked the website and didn't see any ordering options for frozen.

    Yes they do

How's the parking? Is there a lot or garage?

Street parking. During business hours, it can be a pain to find parking. And you'll have to pay for parking. Don't risk not feeding it some change because the parking monitors are ruthless (they are not so bad right now but I am sure with more…

    Do they offer party trays?

Hi! Yes - just talk to the owner and he can work something out for you.

    How is the parking situation?

It's more of a pull situation. Parking is horrible downtown Oakland. But pull up, it's worth it!

Do you sell frozen lumpias?how much and what qty and variety of flavors do you offers? Do you sell the thin skinny lumpia or the chubby more traditional kind?

They do sell frozen lumpia. Check out their website.

Are they open on weekends? specifically this weekend?

We’re just getting off the ground and are just serving lunch hours in the weekdays for now. We will also have a food trailer coming in the fall.

It's tucked away in Oakland in a spot you might easily drive past without noticing. The setup is simple: order at the window, get a vibrating pager, then pick up your food when it's ready. They also have outdoor seating, which is perfect if you're bringing your dog along. They offer all kinds of silog meals, and honestly, before coming here, I thought all silog places were pretty much the same. While standing in line, I had no clue what to order. The special that day was the G Fire Short Ribs, and I kept going back and forth between trying something new or playing it safe. I ended up getting the pork tocino silog, and for the second dish, I almost ordered the spare short ribs. Thank God I got the G Fire Wings instead. OMG. OMG. OMG. These are hands down the BEST wings I've had in the Bay Area. The skin is crispy and crunchy, but the moment you bite in, the meat is unbelievably juicy. Seriously, when do you ever get wings that are actually juicy? Most wings are dry. Not these. The flavor, the sauce, the seasoning--everything is absolutely incredible. It's the kind of food that makes you lick every finger afterward. If it were socially acceptable to eat the bones too, I probably would have. And here's the funny thing: while I was in line, it seemed like everyone ordering was getting the G Fire Wings. Now I know why. If this place were closer to where I live, I'd be here all the time. I'm still thinking about those wings days later. The good news is we go to Oakland at least once a month for hiking and camping, and now Lucky Three Seven is officially part of the tradition. It'll either be our reward after finishing a hike or our stop before heading to camp. Thank you, Warren, for recommending this place. You absolutely nailed it. Whatever you order, make sure to add their hot sauce! It definitely elevated each dish! The ambiance of the place was kind of boho chic and it was relatively empty at around 12:30pm on a Thursday.
