Ok so it was my first time going here I was recommended this place by a client , when I went up to place my order the workers just stared at me with a blank face and did not say one word, mind you there was about 10 workers there and I was the only one in line. I proceeded to ask where should I order and they pretended to not be able to hear me , one worker just pointing at her ear mumbling words. Haven't reviewed in awhile since COVID happened, but this was a new place for me, so I had to try it out! My friend was hyping it up as "better than chipotle". First impressions: really packed inside! The line never ended and people just kept pouring in! The wait wasn't too long either. The interior was pretty cute and tables were sectioned off so that social distancing could occur!!! (Which is a big plus). Servers/workers: the workers were so busy, but were definitely working super hard! They were friendly and the cashier really was nice and had a pleasant demeanor to her. Food: I got the "just fish tacos" or something like that! It was #1 on the board. It's exactly like chipotle, and you an add what you'd like the same way. The fish was super crispy, which I loved. I got the "Baja Fish Tacos." This is listed under one of their specialties. It comes with 3 fish tacos. You get the option of choosing what type of tortilla you wanted. I tried cilantro tomatillo, smoky cheddar, and ancho chili. They were honestly all so good! They also freshly press the tortillas there right in front of you, which is pretty cool to watch! You'll know for sure it'll come out hot and fresh. This place is fantastic! I tried it for the first time the other day, and now I find myself picking up food from here often. The quality of the food is really outstanding. I wish I took pictures but I always end up devouring my burrito before I could pull out my phone. I really like that they make their tortillas fresh, and that they have more flavors besides the classic buttermilk flour. The service is always great! His son, a manager, is equally as friendly! The staff here are all awesome. The burritos here and the decor is similar to all the Cabo's in Austin, with no change in quality. You can also order bowls or tacos. Choose from fish, steak, chicken, brisket, etc. They make the burrito tortilla FRESH in front of you, and you can choose from different flavors (and mix them!) Does a better burrito place exist? I can't imagine... I ate at an Austin location years ago and it always lingered in the back of my mind. I am so happy Houston now has a location, and it lived up to my memory! We were greeted when we came in, and the staff was super welcoming and friendly. I had the ancho tortilla (they take a ball of tortilla dough and press/cook it fresh in front of you), and it makes a huge difference. I've written off burritos and usually get burrito bowls, but not here. The tortillas actually have flavor, and it's good. My burrito was stuffed with white rice, Baja beans, and all the fresh veggies you find at a typical burrito place. They also have mango pico and fresh shredded cabbage. I had the crispy fish and it was so good, and they loaded it up. I drizzled the jalapeño sauce in between bites, and it was delicious. If you enjoy burritos, burrito bowls, and the like, this is definitely the place to go. read more

I'm from KCMO so the brisket didn't match for smoky flavor but it was A+ for tenderness and leanness....and the fish was amazing! I was in town for FIRST Robotics World Champs with a group of 30+ high schoolers and adults and they served us all quickly and deliciously. Great place for family or friend groups....or 30 teenagers. This is how the burrito/taco restaurant was intended to be. Absolutely delicious. You can choose one or all of the 4 different tortillas for your burrito or tacos. You can even combine the dough and really come up with your own tortilla. Out of the proteins, the fish and brisket are my favorites. But the the pork, chicken and steak are still better than the other joints. Everything is extremely fresh and the the staff is super friendly. I didn't even know Bob, and he just pulled up a chair and sat down with us during lunch. They also will donate 15% of their sales to any student sports team, spirit club or organization. Talk about community!! Torchy's and Chipotle also recently opened up within 1/3 of a mile. They have been one upped by this joint big time. This place is on a completely different tier. Both times we have been here and walked out extremely satisfied. One last note for you fellow carnivores. You don't have to pay for extra meat as they provide plenty and aren't stingy. Update on the review after eating there almost every day. Still 5 stars. Since the tortillas are so fresh, I recommend going with the queso on the chicken/steak tacos or burritos. Came here for a quick and cheap meal. They offer a variety of items which gave me a first impression simliar to Chipotle/Free birds. I was impressed because they make the tortillas in front of you and you can also mix and match tortillas flavors, meats and other toppings. A good Cabo taco this side of the ocean. First time trying Cabo Bob's with a Togo order due to the ongoing Covid epidemic. Location had great reviews and a 4+ rating on yelp and I can see why. 1st recommendations and probably their most popular was the fried fish taco which had great flavor with mango accompanying salsa and a warm tortilla! Fish was not dry which is usually a complaint of fish tacos and the slaw that they put on top was even good. My second favorite was the pork taco. Usually I stay away from pork tacos but was happy to try. Once again very flavorful and well prepared tender pork with a nice helping of meat to filling ratio. Last but not least the steak taco was good and well flavored but I found two pieces/bites to be fatty and I had to discretely use a napkin. Overall delicious and would recommend creama and hot sauce. I will try not to go back tomorrow or this afternoon even! Great place! read more

The tortillas are made to order and freshly pressed right in front of you, so I would definitely recommend getting a taco/ burrito as opposed to a burrito bowl. There are 4 different flavored tortillas: buttermilk flour, ancho chili, smoky cheddar, and cilantro tomatillo. Here's a PRO TIP: You can combine 2 different flavors into 1 tortilla for your burrito! I didn't know until the customers behind me ordered and I was mind-blown at the option. After your tortilla is ready, you go down the line and choose between a variety of meats, toppings, and sauces to customize your order to your liking. Adding queso to your dish is a must, because who doesn't love more cheese? Also, they are very generous here when it comes to adding toppings, so you end up with a very hefty portion. Hands down my new favorite in Houston for fast casual TexMex! Similar setup to Chipotle but everything is fresh and you can really taste the difference. They make the tortillas fresh to order, which I think was very impressive considering other similar places use prepackaged tortillas. The veggies were bright, vibrant, crisp, and flavorful. Their meats are definitely of high quality as well. I ordered three steak tacos and I was very impressed at how much flavor was packed into the steak in addition to not having any chewy, fatty pieces that I normally get at Chipotle. They aren't skimpy on the toppings either! Just look at how much cilantro and jalapeño they loaded onto my tacos! Prices are pretty decent too!
