Pork tamales, beans, calabacitas, fried jalapeño corn and flour tortillas.

Decided to try this for breakfast, bad idea. The food was OK, just not alot of choices. What killed it for me was the price. $32 for breakfast? I mean seriously, that's ridiculous. I had calabacitas, beans and 2 pork tamales. The tamales were OK, not great. The calabacitas were pretty fresh, but no cheese in them which was odd. The beans were good, refried and hardy. Also had corn and flour tortillas, and a fried jalapeño. You can't really mess those up honestly. The tortillas were nothing special to be honest. The one thing i did enjoy was the churros. Very fresh and warm, encrusted in sugar and cinnamon, so good! I would have rated this place a 3 if the price was half off. The service was great, everyone was nice but this place is a rip off.

Cactus Mexican Buffet Breakfast & Lunch on Sunset Road in Henderson is a great restaurant serving authentic Mexican Cuisine. First time here for breakfast. Love the Comfy Festive atmosphere and the music playing in the background. Prices are $24.99+ tax for Adults. $11.99+ tax for Children (4-10). Drinks Included with Free Refills there is a Drink List on the Tables. Specialty Drinks are available for purchase. A good variety of food options starting with a Gordita Station, Stews from Menudo and Pozole, Rice, Beans, Chicken Enchiladas, Green and Red Sauce Chilaquiles, Chille Rellenos, some Breakfast items, Omelette Station at Breakfast time, Fruit and Dessert Station and Condiment Station. Breakfast served from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Lunch served from 12:00pm - 4:00. Lunch items available from Tacos, Fajitas and more. Nice friendly staff and great service keeping up with the cleanliness of the tables, buffet line and everything else. I like that the staff serves the guests at the buffet line. We walked out happy and our bellies full. Looking for a new restaurant to try this is the place.

If you are looking for a authentic cozy Homestyle Cooking like you walk into your grandma's house or a friend's house that welcome you to have dinner or party it's like that type of cooking. . When you first enter you will have to pay first and then they will see you and then you go to the buffet line and they will serve you because there is no self-serve. . The buffet is included with soda juice and coffee. I had their coffee and it was really good with spices and cinnamon. Also we did get a Diet Coke as well. . For the buffet line it went pretty quick and did you serve you and ask if you need more portion or less or if you like a specific piece you would just let them know. . I went during Thanksgiving weekend so they did have something special which they did have a whole turkey. They also had a pineapple and strawberry tamale which was different and homemade and it was on the sweet side like a pastry. They also have your Savory tamale as well with jalapeno and cheese or pork tamale. . They also have your Mexican soup like menudo and pozole which was really authentic and I really like the menudo because it has the beef stomach in it. The pozole has a lot of chickpeas and chunks of pork with ribs too. I also like how the garnish was not self-served so you can put as much onions and cilantro and any spices you need for the soup. . I really like their steak fajita with cactus stir fry it was really great and the meat wasn't dry and it was actually flavorful and had a nice tenderness to it. . They also have a lamb leg or beef leg I wasn't sure what it was but it was really great and I do love the presentation where they do cut pieces out of it to serve you. You do not get the bone but there is a big bone attached to the meat while they're cutting it for you. . They also have your chili relleno which was really authentic and it was a great texture and flavor. They also have your chips and salsa with guacamole and different sauces at the bar where you can self serve. . Overall I really like the cooking because it really reminds me of walking into a friend's house that welcomes you to their party and you get to try their cooking. It's very cozy and a nice selection to choose from. The price was about 30 bucks for an adult and 10 percent off for seniors. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

Trying Out a "New To Us" Mexican Restaurant. Friendly, Professional Service, Good Authentic Mexican Food. "ALL You Can Eat" Buffet, Great Veterans & Senior Discounts. Excellent Menudo. Comfortable Seating Booths. Highly Recommend it. Only Downside is its Only Breakfast & Lunch. We Will Add it to Our Eatting Spots for Our Guests.

Food was very delicious and with many authentic flavors. I was not too happy with being charged 8 dollars for the Horchata since it was nothing extraordinary or extravagant. I think they should have horchata in their included drinks since it is a staple in the Mexican cuisine just like drinking Coke-Cola. The ambiance is nice, good music playing, servers in the buffet area are attentive. The dessert area does need some attention since it is a small area and during my visit didn't get much options besides mini concha's and cookies. Was able to get some fresh churros which was glad to see they offer that. I am glad that a restaurant like this does exist since you can try many delicious Mexican dishes but dont get fooled to pay too much for regular horchata drink.

The Cactus Mexican Buffet is super welcoming with a check in for the waitlist right near the door. There isn't a ton of seating to wait inside. They offer all the favorites and some cool specialty non-alcoholic drinks. It was super busy and staff checked in a bunch. The buffet area was clean and labeled and staff serving were friendly. My favorite things were the tamales, plantains, chilaquiles, and rice pudding. Everything was very well seasoned and warm. I got the strawberry horchata, which was super creamy but the strawberry on it was a bit wilted. My only concern was that certain parts of the restaurant in the dining area and the restroom were not as clean as they could be. It was a great value and I'd definitely return for another visit to try the items I couldn't this time around.

What a great find. We had to drive to Costco for work and hadn't eaten yet. After a quick search in the area, I came across Cactus Mexican Buffet. I LOVE chilaquiles and they had it. So my husband and I decided to try it. Wow! The food is great. It's prepared in small batches so what you're eating hasn't been sat out all day. We had chilaquiles, chile relleno, enchilada, gorditas, elote, tamales and more. It was all VERY GOOD. The staff were all so sweet. The ambiance is awesome. Not stuffy and not dingy. I'm excited to come back. $25/person for great food and all you can drink soft drinks is well with it.

Food was ok. Based on a buffet it was what you expected. Very clean and good service. I did like that they have kid friendly food as some kids only wants fries or nuggets stuff like that. I will say it's called cactus MEXICAN buffet but the don't JUST have Mexican food. So keep that in mind. For the price it's ok

Again, not bad, just not what I personally look for when I'm craving authentic posole. I also love that it's not overly popular to the point where you're waiting forever to be seated. That was not the case at Hussongs. Those sides were moist and flavorful. The fajitas were sizzling hot and chicken was tender and seasoned. Even the peppers and onions included with the fajitas were cooked fully and meshed so well with the chicken and shrimp. We also ordered blackberry margaritas which were properly frozen and were delicious! My daughter and I enjoyed everything and were glad we gave this place a try! We'll definitely be back! Ambiance was relaxing, comfortable, and not overdone. Lastly. the service was good and attentive. One of very few establishments where every employee was pitching in wherever help was needed. The chicken tacos were also around a 5/10. The chicken had a yellow color that threw me off a little, and the flavor didn't really stand out to me. I was also expecting refried beans, but they serve pinto beans instead, which was a little disappointing for my preference. After our last trip when we received absolutely crap service and the manager tried to make it right by comping us, she indicated that the next meal "was on her" and urged us to come back "and give them another chance".. I took her at her word and contacted the restaurant to let her know that I was going to bring my wife and her parents to the restaurant for her birthday. So I contacted the restaurant and informed them that we wanted a reservation for four and that was my wife's birthday. I was contacted and told that they would do something special. We showed up and the front girl was "perfunctory at best". We were seated and waited 20 minutes before we received any water or chips. However, the staff was busy bustling to set this large table in the middle of the dining room for a group that wouldn't show up for 10 minutes. They literally had their chips, salsa, water etc. 10 minutes before we did and we weren't even there. When we did get a waitress she was perfunctory and less than friendly. When I told her we were there for my wife's birthday her answer was "oh that's nice". Far cry from "we will make the evening special for you". We got our food which was fine but absolutely nothing. Throughout the meal the waitress spent all of her time chatting with the large group in the middle - obviously her friends or whatever because they got five star service while we were simply ignored. If we wanted to get a refill of a glass of water or in my father-in-law's case, some sour cream, had to literally get up and pull her away from her buddy table to get service. In addition, not a happy birthday, dessert nothing. So much for trusting the manager when she said that she was going to comp the meal or even at the minimum do something to celebrate the birthday. If we went to something as mundane as Applebee's my wife would've got a piece of cheesecake lol. Very disappointed in this place. We love the food but the service is just crap.
