Ah I'm trying to remember the managers name this evening...I want to say Brandon maybe? But omg he is AMAZING! Can't thank him enough for making my first night in Seattle a great one. The food was so delicious and the servers I had were both spectacular. They convinced me to try their infamous guacamole and queso dip, it did not disappoint. I also had the chicken and mushroom entree that was delicious! Safe to say I did not finish everything and got full of chips and dip lol. Brandon even brought me a flan on the house and I could barely get down two bites. Thanks Cactus for everything.

Tasty southwestern style Mexican food. Portions are decent and the food tastes pretty fresh. I recommend the Burrita or the brisket bowl. Drinks are also delicious. Service is welcoming and the ambiance is nice for a weeknight dinner. I do think it is a bit pricy for what you are paying for, however.

Great, food, service and ambiance! We walked here from our hotel and it was super convenient and quick. I'd recommend for locals and tourists alike. Will be back.

Always great service at this location. Today I tired the Chimayo Enchiladas which includes organic blue corn tortillas, chicken, housemade chorizo, spicy green chile sauce, Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, and pico de gallo. This also came with a side of black beans and red rice. I would say the flavors of this dish were mild, but if you put some of their beautiful salsa on top, it completely enhances the dish. The salsa is fresh, has beautiful texture, and a nice kick. It pairs perfectly with their fresh fried chips that are both light, crispy and beautifully seasoned. Always a great meal.

We ate lunch here after our flight. Chips were fresh and crispy. Great salsa and guacamole. Drink menu was creative and delicious. I had the special crispy crab tamales. Our server was excellent. Very casual atmosphere but was very loud.

Came here for dinner after attending The Seattle Dragon Boat Festival with my team. We had a large group of 20 and there was plenty of seats indoors but decided to sit on the patio as it was such a nice day. The wait staff were courteous and very patient in getting our big group order in. Our waitress was very attentive in explaining their best sellers on the menu. Our group ordered a variety of stuff from their menu, but I'd say their Tacos are one of the best I've ever had. Between the Camarones, Baja Fish, and Ancho Chicken they were all delicious. So good that our group ordered extras so that everyone can experience their "to die for" tacos. This place is a great for large groups. Metered street parking is available right outside the restaurant.

Walked over from our hotel for dinner and were greeted and sat immediately. Unfortunately, they put us in the area right by the kitchen entrance/exit so staff were around there the whole time. However, everything else about our dinner was fantastic. The staff were great, the food was delicious, and the drinks were yummy as well. Nicely decorated inside with comfy booths too.

Lively spot for post-work drinks and dinner! Went for a work event, as it is one of the few restaurants in SLU that can accommodate a large group. The food isn't the best Mexican food I've ever had, but the quality of everything I tried was solid. I got fish tacos which tasted fresh and was cooked really well, and the guac looked as if it had been made to order, though I felt that both were a little too light on flavor. The churros came out piping hot and were a nice treat to end the meal on. Not sure if I'd personally choose to come back, but overall had a good experience - the food, though fresh, just wasn't super memorable for me.

Came here for the first time for brunch on a Sunday. We sat down right away inside, and they also have outside seating available. This is a great option instead of waiting in a line at nearby Portage Bay! The service was very friendly and quick. They took our order right away although they were pretty busy running around. I thought the food was quite good! My friend said hers seemed like a smaller portion than usual and she had been here before. I got the Migas dish that came with potatoes, tortillas, and scrambled eggs. I liked that it came with a side of salsa to add on top too. The flavor was good and it was very filing! The perfect meal after running 3 miles! I would definitely come here again for brunch at least. Not sure how the dinner fares.

Tasty Mexican food restaurant! On a busy Saturday night we were seated right away. Plenty of seating for small or bigger groups. Food was tasty. Sangria was a bit too sweet for me. But everything else was great. Good service and ambiance!

Blackened Steelhead Tacos were absolutely delicious, I don't think I have had corn that was as tender and flavorful as this.
    Teron W.

If you are ever in the area and looking for something extremely tasty this is the place. I had the steelhead tacos, and just when I thought I was done the GM "Brandon" brings me a complimentary order of Flan. He mentioned that since this was my first time here I had to try it. Will definitely put Cactus at the top of my list for Seattle. My waiter Phoenix was top notch and reminded me that excellent customer service still exists.

amazing food and service I came for happy hour and got my food super fast! It was delicious and then because it was my first time they gave me free flan I'm so happy I will be back :)

I shared the mole enchiladas and lengua en salsa verde from this Mexican place…read more Of these, the lengua en salsa verde was my favorite. The beef tongue was cooked pretty well. Although it's naturally very fatty, the flavor and juiciness was retained after cooking - so they didn't screw it up. The salsa verde was a very nice accompaniment, as it tasted light, fresh, and a good complement to the fat of the meat. The mole enchiladas were less good. The mole sauce used leaned way too heavily on a sweet flavor - having little to no nuttiness whatsoever. It didn't taste anywhere close to some of the best moles I've had. The enchilada underneath was fine - nothing special. Both dishes came with beans and rice. Both were slightly above average, but nothing to write home about. I would say the portions were well sized in terms of overall amount, but the enchiladas were quite small compared to the beans and rice. With these two dishes we ended up around 28 per person. Overall, it's average Mexican food. 6.5/10

(those burritos are massive omg.) the mole enchiladas were SOOO good, as were the cashew poblano enchiladas. their sauces are so yummy and the presentation was on-point for both enchiladas. i also had a bite of my friend's carne en morita which is a slow cooked pork dish, and i was obsessed. the only thing i'd say to pass on would be the tacos. drinks were also great and had amazing presentation. i was very satisfied with my carajillo and my friend's passion fruit mojito was also very tasty (you could NOT taste the alc in it i swear) overall, koko's is a great spot if you're looking to dress up for a cute night out but also craving some tasty mexican food.

The restaurant also has a parking lot for people to park at as well, so that is a plus! The drink menu is very limited, they don't have a full bar. I ordered the skinny margarita and it was good. The food is authentic and if you are looking for authentic Mexican food, D'La Santa is the spot. We ordered the queso and the rajitas. Both appetizers are really good, came out super hot. So many of our regular spots had lines out the door, which was no surprise, but we ended up getting a table here. Figured Mexican food is hard to mess up. Started with drinks- THE BEST MARGARITA I HAVE EVER HAD. It was perfectly balanced, fresh, just perfect to me. My fiance got a horchata and loved it too. They have an option where you can try ALL of their dips for $20, which I couldn't resist. It was so fun, they had like 9 different ones! I got the shrimp tacos and they were so flavorful that I almost gasped. The creamy sauce, crunchy veggie toppers, smooth avocado, and perfectly cooked shrimp...just wow. I will be dreaming about this dish for years to come. I am a pescatarian and gluten free and there were TONS of options for me. They mostly use corn for everything, not flour. Before it seemed like Maiz Molino was focusing on elevated, unique Mexican dishes (shown in the pics in my prior review such as short rib, and other sort of "fusion" dishes, and more seafood focused, etc.) Now, the menu seems way more generic and casual like enchiladas, tacos, quesadillas, tamales, etc. just offered w/ different proteins. They are still focusing on maiz but just a bit more generic in the preparation and offerings. Also, they had 2 separate menus which was a bit confusing. One is a generic all day menu and then another menu had brunch and dinner on it. It was around 5:30 p.m. but they were out of a particular steak dish that we were interested in. Service was friendly. We had enchiladas, a dip sampler (for appetizer) and Tlacoyos. Everything was fine but nothing really stood out, sadly. It wasn't very busy while we were there, so hoping that they are doing ok as a business. I would love to come back if they brought back the old menu w/ things that you cannot really find elsewhere, including the great cocktail menu and desserts that were offered previously.

Andrew (our server) introduced us to his sidekick, who was in training. Love that personal, hands on approach for a mew team member, and Sidekick did a great job in monitoring our table and replenishing water. Have to stop here and express my appreciation for Andrew and how he took the time to explain the philosophy and genuine team vibe of the restaurant. Oftentimes when a restaurant adds a flat 20% gratuity, you get the feeling this is not passed on to the servers. Not so here. He explained that it's shared among the servers, bar, and other staff, with only a bit retained by management, but even that finds its way into their wages. Terrific work environment and happy to see it. It definitely shows in the level of service. But we're here to eat. Didn't take a picture, but one of my dining companions ordered the burrito with red chili sauce and it was very good. Just the right amount of heat in the sauce. The Cantina celebrates Taco Tuesday, so I took advantage of this. You get the opportunity to try 5 different street tacos for the low price of $15. For another $4 you order it fully loaded which is a steal (guac, pickled onions, lettuce, giardano, crema, and another lovely sauce). Each of the tacos were really delicious and packed full of flavor. I especially enjoyed the cauliflower and the beef. Was surprised how much I liked the popcorn chicken - still juicy and not greasy in the least. Andrew treated us to a round of the hatch green chili. I was delighted because it was a dish I wanted to try. He described it perfectly: a little kick, but you can't stop eating it. He was right. A bowl of this in the winter with their cornbread (which I'm confident will be delicious) will preempt a winter cold. The sauces on the table are not to be ignored either. The green chili sauce was fruity with a little heat, the scorpion chili brings the heat, but their homemade chili oil is phenomenal. I could put this on everything. In short, the Cantina delivers. Excellent food, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and fun staff, and a cool vibe. I'll bet the cocktails will also be good. Definitely adding to the regular rotation!
