We love Zupa in general but hate how the online app will tell you that your order is ready and it is definitely not. When we arrived 20 min after the text that the order was ready, it was not even started. We had to wait an additional 30 min for the order in store. Multiple people that walked up to order, got the order ahead of us. When we got home one of the combo orders was missing the bun which is frustrating. Today I tried a new soup...the Golden Curry soup with my "U Pick 2" selection with my favorite salad, the California Cobb. The soup was so flavorful and delicious, full of carrots, potatoes, chunks of chicken. I was asked if I would like it with wild rice or cashews, and I said YES to the wild rice. Sooo good! I have been a fan of cafe Zupas since they opened in Eagan and was very excited to have one much closer to home! There is plenty of free parking and there is a drive through, if you really don't want to go in and get your food! There is also an option to order ahead on their app. The building is beautiful and everything was clean while I was there. It has a very fresh and modern feel to it! The service here was slow... it looked like they were understaffed. HOWEVER, the service here was very nice, friendly and apologetic for being slow. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits given the fact that they were busy with drive through orders and inside orders. I love getting soup here! I have not had any of the salads or sandwich's, but the soups are very good! You get a roll and chocolate dipped strawberry with your order! I will definitely be back to this location! read more

Love Cafe Zupas -- the Wisconsin cauliflower soup is out of this world. I wish the service and ordering process was a bit easier. For example, I'd love if they offered rice only (no lettuce) for their bowls but it's impossible to order that way online or at their drive thru. We have been to many Cafe Zupas and the service here is really good. We have gotten here at the right time when they haven't been crazy busy. The line moved along, the food was good and fresh. The food at Zupas is always decent however the service was abysmal. I was there on August 28th and a worker in the back called me nasty names. She seems to think I could not hear her from 10 feet away, however was bad mouthing me and other customers. She was calling multiple customers 'bitches' and other nasty remarks for asking when pickup orders scheduled for 20 minutes ago would be done. Wanted to give props to the fantastic service I've always received at this location! Thank you to Chris (who I think is the manager) who fixed a big mistake made on our part and I've been impressed with everyone I've interacted with there. Ryan (cook?) was very helpful with recommendations and the whole staff was great accommodating a large group we brought there. The food is delicious (big fan of the Roasted Red Pepper Lobster Bisque) and this location has become my go-to, especially for meeting up with folks. read more

if I could give this stars, I would the Coon Rapids Minnesota is absolutely horrible. I ordered 2 cups of soup and two sandwiches in the drive-through at 7 PM by 739. people walking in and out of the store with their food and in the drive-through had already gotten their food while I was still waiting for two sandwiches and 2 cups of soup and they weren't custom orders. They were just regular . I walked into the store and asked the worker where my food was and she said as you can see we're very busy and an annoyed tone. And I said there's only three people at the register and I've seen numerous people in the drive-through leave while I've been sitting waiting. Instead of the employee asking what my order number was or even doing any research she said I'm doing the best that I can and was basically yelling. I said doing your making me sit outside and wait even inquiring about what my order is and she said fine. I'll just give you a refund in a rude tone again almost like she was threatening to not give me my food and I said I don't want a refund. I want my food. instead of her researching my order number or even looking into it she just started working on other things. There was probably six employees behind the counter with 20 sandwiches probably 10 bags soups everywhere and they were just walking around trying to find the label that went food item. Just completely unorganized completely unprofessional finally one girl walked up to me and asked me what my order number was she gave me a bag and when I get home, I find out it's not even the right order. The employees were so rude. I will never come to this location ever again I will drive out of my way to not go to this location. It is not worth $40 for fast food to sit and wait for 40 minutes and it's not even that great. It's a tiny cup of soup and one small little ciabatta roll sandwich just a joke. read more

Went here tonight on a recommendation from a friend. Tried to order online, but couldn't place an order without joining their loyalty program. I went to the restaurant and ordered a pork/quinoa bowl to go Lots of greens, not much pork or quinoa. I saw the kid behind the counter put much less than a full scoop of each in my bowl. When leaving, I had to ask for the strawberry and bread sides that were supposed to come with it. Despite being skimpy, the bowl was very good and I appreciated the variety of ingredients that you don't get in most salads. . However, the strawberry was the tinniest berry I've ever seen - about the size of a small raspberry. The bread wasn't baguette as advertised, but something that looked and tasted like a King's Hawaiian Roll stuffed into a small paper bag. Overall, for $12, it was ok but expectations were higher. read more

Let's start out by saying I'm not a soup, sandwich or salad guy, until today! They open recently and my wife wanted to try it. When we walked in the line was really long but was moving quickly. My wife got the pesto chicken this is house-made pesto chicken salad with roasted red peppers, almonds, tomatoes, micro greens and Muenster cheese. Honestly visually it looked okay but flavor wise it was delicious. Great pesto flavor. She got the 1/2 soup too. This was chicken enchilada chili this is red & green enchilada sauce, cheddar cheese, corn tortillas, roma tomatoes, black beans, fire roasted corn, cumin and grilled chicken. She got it topped with sour cream, cheddar cheese and tortilla strips. Nice flavors with a nice portion. I got the turkey bacon avocado sandwich. This is turkey, applewood-smoked bacon, Hass avocado, tomatoes and Muenster cheese with honey mustard spread. I am a condiments kind of guy and found the sandwich to be a bit dry (personal preference). I went up and they gave me a side of honey mustard. Nice flavorful turkey, nice strips of flavorful bacon and nice helping of perfectly ripened avocado. I got the 1/2 salad which was a nice portion. I got the chipotle glazed chicken which is house-chopped mixed greens, red onions, tomatoes, fire-roasted corn, black beans, tri-Color peppers, cheddar cheese, Hass avocado, tortilla strips with chipotle ranch and honey cilantro glaze. So much flavor that all work well with each other. Nice clean restaurant with employees waiting for you to finish to clean off your table. The only downside is we really wanted to try the brisket grilled cheese that they were out of. You also get an chocolate dipped Oreo for a dessert. They have so many sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts. It's going to take many trips to try them all. Welcome to the neighborhood. read more

Brisket grilled cheese was tasty, mild smoky flavor. Turkey bacon avocado was disappointing, the only avocado was one small piece, the size of a dime. There was just very little meat or substance to either sandwich. If I go back it will be for the soups or possible to try a salad. Past meals have been good, however, on a busy night they served up some of the most pathetic examples of a brisket sandwich - barely, and I mean barely any meat on it and all for the uncharge price of $12 for the privilege of buying from their store. And the best part is when I called about it, the manager said it was my problem as it was a DoorDash order so they would have to refund me money or deal with it. Way to not take any responsibility for making some terrible items and passing them off on folks who just wanted a basic meal while waiting at the nearby hospital with a loved one.
