I came in during brunch with a friend. The food and drinks were all good. She got the avocado Benedict and I got the breakfast sandwich. We both enjoyed the food. We got mimosas and they were good (but it's kind of hard to mess up a mimosa haha). I got the mocha with baileys in it and it was very good (mug is super cute!). I've been to Cafe 1505 quite a few times and it's definitely one of my favorite brunch spots. The location is convenient and is located right on the lakeside/Port Washington Rd hub of Mequon. Right, when you walk in there's a very cozy vibe. Depending on the dining experience that you're looking for you can find a restaurant setting on the right and a more traditional cafe/deli experience to the left with the exact same menu(the cafe area has really great looking desserts which I'm very mad that I still haven't tried). There's even an outdoor patio in the summer that's both homey and gorgeous. I've tried a lot of the menu from their sandwiches to their omelets which have all been very tasty. What makes their menu really great is that they have a weekly rotation of specials that are each unique and delicious. I ordered their chicken and waffles which was super untraditional as instead of just being fried chicken on a waffle it was a waffle with pulled chicken marinated in salsa verde, a poached egg, and hollandaise sauce. Scrumptious! Tip - avoid coming in on a Sunday morning unless you want to be swamped by the massive church crowd that rolls in after morning service. read more

We had a wonderful breakfast this morning complemented by *excellent* service. The coffee was served with delicious muffins (Sunday's only). We made a few "can you add" requests that were off menu and our waitress happily asked and the kitchen was able to accommodate. We ordered a couple frittatas, pancakes, cinnamon roll French toast and chicken and waffles (special). All meals were expertly prepared and delivered hot. Cafe 1505 is in interesting place. It tries to be several things. It is inside of East Town square mall which is an enclosed shopping center and very upscale. Im sure thats why 1505 tries to be many things. They serve drinks, they serve high end meals. Across the way they have a cafe with pastries, coffees and such. We chose the restaurant for breakfast. As we walked in during mid morning on a Saturday, I heard a piano playing down the hallway in the mall, and could see a Beau Bridges type guy, (Fabulous Baker Boys) dressed to the nines, and was singing and playing Moondance from Van Morrison. Im thinking to myself, what am I getting into here? But this place was not my choice. Walking towards the entrance of the restaurant, its an open concept with no doors. We were seated fairly quickly. Place was busy, but not jammed. We got the famous grey haired waitress that others complained about, (I was worried since my sister and I were dressed like slobs, we had no idea it was this upscale) and you know what ? She must of had a tuneup , cause she smiled, was pleasant , had no eye rolls or comments. Service was great. She even stopped by during the meal to make sure we were good with the meal. We both had a cappuccino ... very smooth not bitter. Some days you need a bigger jolt than standard coffee, ya know? That was followed by a big 1505 breakfast for sis and I had the ham & brie French toast. She enjoyed her meal, & mine was excellent! Pit ham, with melted brie, layered over it on a good size piece of texas style toast with a single egg on top , made my way? Very scrumptious. Prices are high here but worth it as food is top notch , and remember the mall which is an upscale mall. Sorta reminds me of Oakbrook mall in Illinois, but on a strip mall size of land and indoors. What a hidden delight this cafe is! A friend & I went for lunch on a Monday, get there early, it filled up quickly. Our waitress was great with recommendations. We opted for the grilled burrito & the chicken & smoked gouda sandwich. The sandwich was delicious & i was a little jelly at her burrito....it looked so good. We visited their bakery across the way & the staff was equally as pleasant & helpful. The manager? came over & asked if this was our first time & how nice it was to see smiling faces. Have stopped here twice on trips through Wisconsin and have loved it both times!! Had the most amazing leek & cream cheese omelet the first time through that I still dream about. What a cute place! And I really cool idea to have a bar a café and a deli/coffee shop segregated but all together. They definitely get a star for ambience! And another for drinks :-) I had the Verde Mary and my husband had the basic Bloody Mary and they were both delicious. The third star is for value... Plates are reasonably priced. I appreciated that they extend brunch to 3 o'clock on Saturday and Sunday. The first time I went there with a friend hoping to get brunch on a weekday and unfortunately we had to choose from the lunch menu because it was 11 o'clock and breakfast had already stopped. Maybe it was just a coincidence that my choice the first time and then again the second time didn't satisfy my expectations. I ordered the salmon salad and was disappointed that it was shredded salmon on top of lettuce. I guess I expected a nice piece of salmon placed on the lettuce instead of bitter fish that Left me questioning if it was from I can. The second time I patronized this establishment I ordered the butternut squash lasagna. (See attached photo). A creamy sauce would've done this plate wonders! Instead it just seem like squash placed between tasteless lasagna noodles. Both of my companions on these two occasions were "OK" with their food so maybe it was just my bad luck in what I ordered :-(. That is what I thought the first time so gave it a second chance... took my mom here for lunch and it did not disappoint! was super delicious! my mom and i both had the lunch combos where you can pick two of the following: soup, salads (egg, chicken, etc), green salads, and sandwiches. they were super accommodating and allowed me to do the weekly special curry chicken salad with mine. i did that and the turkey cran sandwich. i ate everything!! so good! my mom got the turkey blt, which she really enjoyed, and the lentil carrot soup.. which she did not like at all. it was a texture thing. it almost had the texture of overcooked potatoes. it also lacked flavor.. we had a rhuby slipper and mimosa and both were very good! highly recommend checking this restaurant out! great service as well! will definitely be back. read more

First time at Cafe 1505. This cafe has a quant post-Sunday church brunch spot feel. We were greeted with smiling faces and great service. Started with a delicious complimentary carrot, raisin, walnut muffin that tasted fresh and homemade. The pumpkin spice latte was well made and not overpowering with the sugar. I had a house favorite, quinoa bowl, and my husband made his own omelette. Both dishes were hardy, perfect for a Sunday brunch. I wish the quinoa bowl had a touch more flavor/ spice and same with the omelette, hence the four stars. We will be going back! read more

As an Instagram follower, I've been hoping to try Cafe 1505 for a hot minute. I was meeting a vendor for lunch today in Mequon, so was excited at the opportunity to suggest the cafe. My first impression was that the restaurant is really cute! The crowd is a tad older, I'm not sure if this is how this place always is, but there is nothing more exciting than seeing a women 80+ years old wearing a wig and leopard print sipping a martini on a Monday at noon. Side note - this is when I learned that they, indeed, do serve alcohol. The set up is really unique - the cafe is set up in two sections - one section being more of a sit down, the other set up like a small grab and go coffee shop. We got there a bit early before the lunch rush, but it appeared as though there may have been a wait for a seat on my way out (12:45ish). I overheard another older lady, (this one in a studded Christmas sweater that would be the envy of all ugly sweater holiday partiers) say that she had a reservation. Booze and reservable tables - ACES! I had the veggie burger with the red cabbage slaw. Can I just point out that I love that they put all the ingredients in their food on the menu? I'm not health junky and have no allergies - but a 'veggie' burger can mean alot of things. I liked that it had a list of contents. Anyways, it was absolutely delicious! The menu appeared to have alot of options! Sandwiches, soups - very casual lunch menu with good portion sizes. The service was quick and attentive. Our waitress was also super friendly! Nice place for breakfast, I order the big 1505, the farm eggs are tasted way better than regular, non-preservative bacon cooked just right, cafe was just right. The potato could be less salty or sub for more fruit. Overall it is a great place for breakfast and seems for lunch too. Especially you are care about eating healthy. This is my go-to for brunch. I've only had breakfast items, but I've heard the sandwiches are amazing. :). They have a full bar and their bourbon Bloody Mary is great! I also loved the bourbon maple latte! They make fantastic bacon and I love the different toasts and French toasts they have. Husband loved the different Benedicts. I was so pleased with my meal that I had to ask to speak with the manager. I live in San Francisco, so we are spoiled when it comes to food options and ingredients. So when I tried the quiche, lentil and carrot soup, and my friend's chicken salad on raisin bread, I was blown away! I loved every part of that meal. If I had room, I would have ordered more food. The mimosas we ordered were served in adorable little glasses and our server was attentive, helpful AND funny! This is my first time at Cafe 1505 but it's one of my boyfriends favorite places to eat in Mequon. We arrived around 11 am and requested a table for 4, there was a 15 minute wait, so we walked around the indoor mall area. They gave us a beeper to let us know when our table was ready. We didn't wait long, exactly like what they predicted--15 minutes. This places serves brunch and breakfast items. As soon as they seated us, our waitress came and asked for drink orders. I got the Bloody Mary and it was delicious! It has a hint of spicy-ness to it but not overly powerful, just enough of a kick. So, if you like bloodies, definitely order one. After our drinks they served us these complimentary free carrot cake bites that were delicious. One could probably get full off of eating these things because they're so good you wouldn't realize it till it's too late. As for my entree, I got the meat omelette with turkey sausage, ham, and andouille sausage. The omelette was a bit underwhelming for me. The eggs weren't fluffy at all or soft and it was overly cooked that the eggs were too dry and the fact that they didn't add cheese in the omelette, it felt more like I was eating a meat taco. My boyfriend got the eggs Benedict and he says that it's usually really good but this time it wasn't as tasty and a bit disappointing. I give this place 3 stars because of the quality of our entrees and the service was kind of poor--it took us almost an hour to get our food. Other than those things I would probably try it again but I didn't feel like it was anything special. read more

Great place to stop by when I am driving up on I-43 and need a place to eat, close by the highway, healthy, and taste good. I got the parmesan-crust panini - it was deliciious! Coffee was great too. Arrived at 9:30 am Friday and sat at the bar (busy but not to the point of standing in line). Relocated over a few seats due to the overhead light shining in my face. The acoustics are not the greatest and the music playing was in my opinion not the best for breakfast. Maybe if I was 20 years younger it would have been perfect. I did like the look inside and out and I'm sure the food would have been great. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow at the bar and I had finished a cup of coffee and still the server had come to take my order. I also thought the prices were a bit high (~$8.00 for a blueberry granola pancake and $3.50 for a turkey sausage link). I ended up leaving because of my travel schedule and I was not relaxed while waiting for service. I had to walk around to find someone to pay for my coffee (good coffee at $2.65 in case anyone is wondering). Based on the Yelp reviews/photos, I was very much looking to have breakfast here. Cafe 1505 has been in this spot for as long as I can remember. This is an excellent spot for a really good brunch, but be warned if you come during peak hours, you might have to to wait. They do have outdoor seating if wanted, and if your in a hurry, you could probably be sat, eat, and pay your bill in around 30-40 minutes thanks to they prompt service and fast turnaround times on ordering. There's also a small deli with to-go items across the hall from the main restaurant itself. The menu offers a large variety of normal brunch and breakfast items, and they serve carrot-muffins on the side to start every meal. read more

the food is good - like the menu - BUT - its always freezing in there - staff says they can't adjust temp, its set by the overall mall. be sure to wear layers. AND - their chairs are all "shot" - that is, they are old, and the seats have lost their cushioning, so when seated you are rubbing against the framing. really uncomfortable. so, I don't go there any longer. no matter how good the food is, its too uncomfortable to eat there read more

Great quick breakfast! We stopped in on our way to a movie and had a 30 minute wait before getting a spot at the bar. The hostess was very friendly and apologized for the delay, even giving us a little carrot cake treat to make up for the wait! I ordered a brie, asparagus, and avocado egg white omelet, which was extra cheesey! My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles, which was a special. The food was all delicious and he said the special was defiantly worth the try. While we were not drinking, everyone around us was ordering bloody mary's, which looked fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and you can never go wrong with the food. I could not recommend more if you are in Mequon! read more

I enjoyed having brunch here. I must say I really liked their hot chocolate, and also a whisky latte that was superb! My husband and I had brunch. We shared a stack of pancakes which were very large by the way! Three pancakes could definitely be shared by three people lol. I had bacon, eggs and toast.
