Always a blast when coming here, but the weekend is an extra treat with the finger licking good bbq that falls off the bone. The beef ribs are the best I've ever had, and I love to consume bbq anywhere I can. Their sausages are so flavorful with the perfect crisp on the casings and juicy. The pork ribs and brisket all leave you wanting more. Get here early, when they sell out, that's it. You might even get lucky and there will be a live band playing outside. Regardless of the weather, if your a local or heading out to play in the desert or mtn's, you MUST give your taste buds a treat and stop in. read more

Cafe 247 is a much needed space in the Lucerne Valley area. I passed by a number of times when I lived in Big Bear, as it's close to one of the three routes you can take to get down the hill. I only stopped in to grab a cup of coffee on my visit, so I can't really review the food or much of the service....other than saying the coffee was good, and the woman who rang me up was friendly. The space is very "road". Lots of bikers. Decor is super eclectic and looks similar to a lot of the roadside diners I've visited over the years. I was surprised by the large outdoor space that apparently hosts live music often. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd absolutely stop back in for an actual meal and to get a more in-depth experience of this spot. read more

Been here a couple times with my dog on the way to camping trips. friendly staff, friendly customers. Ribs were great and they threw in extra bones for my dog. The BBQ burger was freaking great. This is a local's biker hang out, but cooler. We popped in after an extremely disappointing lunch at China House, came in for a look-around , but more importantly, a beer. I would love to be here on a weekend evening to see some bands play on these awesome outdoor stages. The menu was basic, bugers, fries, bbq and the like. We had heinekens and a healthy dose of people watching. There's groovy eclectic rubbish turned into art all over the yard. It was a pretty fun atmosphere. They've got smokers and stuff, so weekends are probably the bomb. We will check it out another time. Gotta try the BBQ! read more

A destination for an assortment of people. Leaving Cougar Buttes, called in my order for breakfast and wow. I've had their delicious burger before, so wife and i decided to try their breakfast bacon burrito. It was probably one of the best ones. They use homemade country gravy, INSIDE the whole burrito. It was so moist, juice, FRESH eggs, hash-browns crispy, and the tortilla was oozing and exploding with the goodness that was coming out of this burrito. The parking is large, we had 2 in our group with flatbeds, there were two big rigs when we pulled up and plenty of room for RV's or more trucks/trailers. The atmosphere is awesome in my opinion. This place is awesome. Driving by my wife and I smelled the BBQ outside and had to stop. This was the best BBQ ever. We had the Super Sampler platter. Beef ribs, pork ribs, tri tip, and sausage. Unbelievable flavor. Cooked perfectly. And my kind of atmosphere. The staff was personable, friendly and helpful. Nice selection of beers to go with it. Cafe 247 does bare the "Let's Go Brandon" flag outside, a "Make America Great Again" sticker on the front door, and such. I mustered the courage to stroll into Cafe 247 with my afro and combat boots after a long day's work. Cafe 247 is located at the junction of highways 18 and 247, hence the name. Cafe 247 is perhaps the most visible business in Lucerne Valley, and rightly so. As Cafe 247 is in a desert, there is plenty of parking. Outside there are pool tables, a barbeque pit, a live music stage, and plenty of outdoor seating. Inside, and it is what is inside that counts, ...I encountered the nicest, friendliest staff that I have ever encountered in a burger joint. The smell of barbeque hangs in the air, and after two visits, I am determined to try the barbeque raved about by other patrons on my third visit. The burger I had on the first visit was so good that I had to get another. The prices are fair, and I was happy to support a local small business. The decor of Cafe 247 is cool, with license plates on the walls, fused with great rock n' roll music, and a motorcycle in the dining room. *(Rock N' Roll was created by black people) The one complaint... the flies. The flies must be attracted to Cafe 247 because it is the sh*t. The food is delicious, fresh, and made with care and quickly. I highly recommend anyone, and I do mean anyone... We were on our way to Joshua Tree NP. Came to an intersection they were located at and the aroma was soooo nice. We were hungry so we turned around and parked in lot . People started a line so we thought why not. Outside dining , banana bread man was selling breadthey had a live band outside, and of course the smoker! People are so friendly there. They have a large menu. We got the sampler platter. So much food and a great deal. Don't be worried it looks like a biker bar. Lots of families with kids, loud music , great food and fun . Every time we are visiting Big Bear, we make it a point to go to Cafe 247 to grab something to eat as we go down the mountain back to Vegas. The food was about 4.5 stars, so why don't we round up? They deserve that. This 5-star review is based and scored solely on the food and service I received. As many people said, there are (or were, when I visited) many pro-Trump flyers and the restaurant definitely expresses obvious disdain for the governor and wearing masks. If you are at-risk, yeah you probably wouldn't want to eat in, unfortunately. But it's a free country; small businesses can express their views, just like customers and patrons can express their views by not patronizing such restaurants. Go for the food, not for the politics. The food is worth it, no matter what your beliefs are. Get the BBQ; it is a must! Nobody is going to cause trouble unless you go looking for it. Even as somebody who doesn't agree with their stance, I respect it. I think it's great that American citizens allowed to speak our opinion without fear. Besides, the food is amazing. I tipped $5 on a $10 sandwich at the time of payment for this service. 20 minutes later when I inquired where my sandwich was, I was told to "hold on sweety, it will be a few more minutes".
