1st I'd like to begin by saying that my daughter is a 14 year old chicken tender connoisseur. I…read moreconvinced her to stray from her usual and finally tried Daddy's Chicken Shack. I ordered curbside through the app. 1 Nashville Finger meal mild 1 Nashville Finger meal- country 1 Nashville Daddy meal- mild. Sauces: daddy's sauce, ranch, honey mustard, & ginger mayo. The mild flavor is...different. I give the sandwich a 5/10. The bun was a little hard and the coleslaw didn't add much flavor. The breading was thick and crispy but too thick. My daughter wasn't a fan of the country. But she liked that the chicken was juicy. The fries were the best part. Ordered well done but ours were soft. Probably from getting it to go and sitting in styrofoam on the ride home. Loved all the sauces especially the ginger mayo. I ordered sweet tea- bad choice. Not the best. Now onto the service. The app was super easy. All that food for $36.44. The curbside pickup wasn't on time and I had to call but the employee who answered the phone and brought out the food was incredibly nice and helpful. All in all I would give this place another shot and try something different.

This is the place for premium chicken sandwiches and tenders served in a fresh casual setting. You…read morecan order chicken grilled or fried, plain or spicy. There are five Nashville hot spice levels for the fried chicken. Anything above medium and you won't be able to taste the chicken, which is deliciously fried in a pressure cooker. The spicy chicken is then ladled with hot oil and spices or served plain. The chicken is at once crispy, tender, and moist. The French fries are lightly battered, like Popeyes. Delivery, takeout, and catering available.

Portillo's is typically a hit or miss with us here…read more Depending on what you get will actually determine how you like the food. We always get the [Jumbo] Hot dog, which is not as big as you'd expect, but it's tasty. We enjoyed eating the Jumbo Chili Cheese Dog, Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, and the Char-Grilled Polish Sausage. These are all the hot dogs we typically order. We're not fans of the Italian Beef Sandwich nor the Big Beef Sandwich; they typically have a lot of gravy in them. The Char-Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwich wasn't worth it. If you side the gravy and don't add peppers (an extra charge), you'd literally just get the bread and the sausage. The fries and onion rings are usually mediocre, but it's good served as a meal. On the other hand, the staff has always been kind, both in-house and drive-thru. The place has never been too crowded.

I've loved Portillo's ever since I first moved to Chicago back in 2001. I became a regular pretty…read morequickly. It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.
