1st I'd like to begin by saying that my daughter is a 14 year old chicken tender connoisseur. I convinced her to stray from her usual and finally tried Daddy's Chicken Shack. I ordered curbside through the app. 1 Nashville Finger meal mild 1 Nashville Finger meal- country 1 Nashville Daddy meal- mild. Sauces: daddy's sauce, ranch, honey mustard, & ginger mayo. The mild flavor is...different. I give the sandwich a 5/10. The bun was a little hard and the coleslaw didn't add much flavor. The breading was thick and crispy but too thick. My daughter wasn't a fan of the country. But she liked that the chicken was juicy. The fries were the best part. Ordered well done but ours were soft. Probably from getting it to go and sitting in styrofoam on the ride home. Loved all the sauces especially the ginger mayo. I ordered sweet tea- bad choice. Not the best. Now onto the service. The app was super easy. All that food for $36.44. The curbside pickup wasn't on time and I had to call but the employee who answered the phone and brought out the food was incredibly nice and helpful. Daddy's chicken shack was a pleasant surprise to find on our way to another outing. So we took a chance to try them out as I'm always looking to try something new. The restaurant is well maintained, and staff was friendly. It is order at the counter with the menu on the wall set up. They offered to bring our food to our table but it was not busy during our visit, so during busier times it might be go to the counter to get your food. The sandwich I got was really good, at least during that visit big enough I had enough left over for my husband to be able to try some of it too. We also tried some fried pickles that had the same breading as the chicken. I liked the fries as well. My husband liked the chicken he got, but might get the sandwich next time to try it out again. read more

I have so far managed to avoid the whole hot chicken craze. But in a weakened moment I decided to give Daddy's a try on one of its first few days. I asked for a suggestion and the guy told me he like the American, and recommended it when asked. Let's face it - you can get a chicken sandwhich every 20 feet - So I ordered the Nashville instead. I eat a LOT of hot stuff. Usually do a 4 on Thai Food. I usually don't heed heat warning, but I decided to go with a 3. Today was my third visit. I was hesitant to return as my prior visit sandwiches had chicken smaller than the already small bun, and the spice level didn't add up to its name. I have been seeking a true "Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich Experience." I expressed my concern, "Hey all the pictures on the menu show a large chicken breast sticking out both sides of the sandwich, but my prior orders didn't come close." I was assured that doesn't happen anymore. I ordered 2 Nashville daddys, a spicy daddy sandwiches and mild chicken tenders. All three sandwiches had chicken beyond the bun. The Nashville Daddy, even with the Extra Hot sauce level, still isn't authentic Nashville hot chicken. The sauce on the bun is hot enough to induce a scalp sweat, but the chicken itself is not. I guess the kitchen staff overheard my comments and decided to cake the mild chicken strips in a heavy, hot, dry spice rub. The strips were for my kid, who couldn't eat them at that spice level. I wasn't able to finish them myself, I prefer a hot sauce compared to the heavily caked tenders. See pic. I note that there is not a Daddy's Chicken Shack in Nashville or Tennessee. Ordered on the app after hearing really good things from some friends. When you order online, it'll tell you that the food will be ready in five minutes. You should plan on showing up maybe like 20 minutes later. The staff is super friendly and nice. The place is super clean. Bathrooms are clean. It's a very nice location. The food is alright, didn't really care for the sauce that came with the breakfast burrito. I would recommend just trying another sauce instead. The staff would probably have a good recommendation. While I appreciate the many years of yummy chicken and rewards points CFA has provided me, we are now paying a dumb amount of money there compared to what the product they are offering. Some of these other chicken sandwich establishments have good stuff but it's over $12 a sandwich. So, onto Daddy's. Simple concept done well. The waffle sandwich is great. Add bacon....you're welcome. Also get a dipping sauce. Nashville chicken sandwich is great. Love the brioche bun. Perfect sized sandwich. Fantastic slaw. Overall 5/5 stars. You can download the app and I fully recommend it. Order some fries and a small drink and get a sandwich for free with your first order. Opening day, wait was awful. 30-45 minutes for two sandwiches. Staff was friendly, food was pretty good! Pickles are fresh and salty, which I like! Chicken is thick and meaty and breading is very crispy and flavorful. Didn't try anything else but I would go back after things calm down a bit. Will update my review then. We live in Colleyville and want so much for new restaurants to do well. I hope others have a better experience than we did. It took 40 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our food. We should have taken notice when we walked in that only 1-2 tables had food while the rest of the tables waited. Based on the people waiting, 30-40 minute wait was the norm. Chicken sandwich was good, but not the best I have ever had. I had the loaded fries as a side. Not a fan. I hope they improve the service in the future. We will not be back anytime soon. read more

Daddy's Chicken shack was a good unexpected treat. We came with a group of 8, and all of the food came out super quick. It was hot and fresh. The Sunshine Salad was good, a good touch of heat with the sriracha sauce but the dressing cooled it down. Restaurant is super clean, they have a large window and you can see right in the kitchen. It is super clean as well. I was very impressed considering that they are working with fried foods. The food was great. Very good flavor. Loved their fries! Service was fantastic, the cashier was patient while we took time to review the menu and she offered suggestions. Our table had 4 of their sauces, bbq, honey mustard, daddy's sauce and ranch. They were very good! I like that they offer grilled chicken not only fried. Chicken fingers country style were delicious! The all American Chicken sandwich was wonderful. They offer salads as a side as well which is a nice alternative to fries. Highly recommend giving this establishment a try. I Stopped this afternoon just to try their sandwich and support a local business; very clean dining room everybody was really friendly-I wince at the thought that I paid nine dollars for a chicken sandwich, however, I ordered the number three and it was absolutely delicious! a big sandwich that my wife and I shared the coleslaw seasoning was perfect. The bun was soft yet toasted. I have to admit I enjoyed much more than Chick-fil-A. Will definitely be back. Good job, big Daddy! read more

Someone tried the chicken strips - they said the chicken quality was good but just wished the ranch here was more flavorful. They said the ranch tasted homemade but seemed to be needing more "ranch" flavor. Place was clean and inviting. Staff was welcoming. Prices were also a good surprise. They had run out of pickles, that meant a tiny bit of sauce and that was it on one sandwich. the other sandwich had dry slaw and raw chicken. French fries were just so so.
