This new spot is vibez on top of vibez. Went in on a drizzle day in Southern Cali. I was immediately greeted with warm welcome and hellos! Their menu is not as extensive as a Starbucks or CB but they get right to the point. I ordered the butterscotch iced latte and got a hot honey lavender for my daughter. Absolutely delicious!!!!! So creamy, decadent, rich and smooth! This artisan Coffee spot hit the right notes for me and I am so glad they are so close. I only wish they had a drive thru...lol. Cafe/5 is one of my favorite coffee spots in LA, the coffee shop itself is small but attached is a nice office space where you can work or lounge. I normally experiment with the different coffee recipes so I got a Butter Scotch Latte that was very delightful and refreshing. It had just the right amount of sweetness to complement the caffeine perfectly. The workers and super chill and down to earth. They are fast getting your order and getting you coffee out to you. They also have homemade pastries that change out daily. They are more on the healthy side with vegan options as well. Cafe/5 also sells merchandise inside that is made with very good materials. Go experience this cafe shop for yourself especially if you are a work from home type of person. read more

I tried the strawberry matcha and the Spanish latte, both drinks were refreshing and made very well. The strawberry matcha had the perfect blend of sweetness from the strawberry with the matcha flavor still shining through. The Spanish latte was rich and incredibly smooth. The ambiance is very pleasant and chill, there is plenty of seating and the decor is very tasteful. WiFi was very fast and I was able to get a lot of work done here. The baristas are all very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu. I'm a big matcha girly and this is hands down the best matcha latte I've ever had in the LA area. There's something about their matcha that's so creamy and refreshing and ice cream tasting at the same time. It was $7 for a small little 12 oz cup but the only regret I have is not buying the 16 oz cup.. so worth the price you pay! Area was good, not too busy and street parking available. Such a hidden gem in the area. It was only a 10 minute walk from our airbnb, and we were surprised such a cute, spacious cafe existed here! I absolutely love cafe's with big tables, as nowadays it's so hard to find them. The staff here are really friendly and we were able to get our drinks pretty fast. There were couple of people doing work here, which I loved, and I would definitely come back here as a study/work cafe. I've visited this shop twice in the last week, while on morning strolls. On my first visit, I ordered the cold brew with lavender cream and a croissant. Wow to the cold brew with lavender cream. The cold brew was smooth and did not taste bitter, and the foam was like a cherry on top with just the right amount of sweetness. On my second visit I ordered an iced butterscotch latte. I typically stray away from drinks that sound like they could be too sweet but if you are on the fence I'd encourage you to order-- the sweetness level was perfect, and the espresso/oat milk combo was smooth in taste. This place has amazing study/work vibes and it's not too far from downtown or the west side. I came here for a quick pick me up and got a butterscotch latte with oat. It's definitely on the sweeter side so ask for 50% and you'll be glad you did! Their butterscotch reminds me of Starbucks hazelnut but definitely done a lot better. I love this CAFE! I always come here to study during the weekend since it's close to the campus. The garage setting is perfect for me because I need sunlight to function. Also, I am a fan of the music choice. The staff are always nice - they greet me each morning. Apparently, one of them draw on the cups hahaha. I come here whenever I need to study. The ambiance is perfect. Some coffee shops have super loud music and it makes it hard to study. Not this one. It's quaint enough for a study session, but also open and airy enough to have coffee with a friend. I'd definitely recommend the vanilla bean latte- they'll make nearly all drinks vegan. And they have oat milk which is always a plus! The drinks aren't overly sweet which I love- don't sacrifice the taste of coffee with sugar. They're always so sweet and friendly. This is the perfect wfh/study spot and in the spring/summer when they open up the garage door to let lots of fresh air and light in, it's such a vibe. I will say the location itself is a little hard to get to in terms of parking and it being right next to a busy main road, so be prepared to spend some time finding parking (Free if you do the neighborhood nearby and walk). I love that there are outlets and shared long tables with chairs (that have BACK SUPPORT!) but also smaller tables and high bar tables with stools, so there's enough usually for everyone. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte as that's my standard everywhere and it was great! no complaints, not too sweet. The Almond Croissant was also pretty flaky and standard, good and they warm it up for you on a proper paper plate which is a nice touch. Clean bathroom and fast wifi! It looks like people post up here for a while and since they offer real food, you don't have to worry about interrupting your work day/study session to eat. read more

Baristas are also very friendly. vanilla cardamom latte - cardamom was the most prominent flavor in this. This was pretty good, virtually no sweetness but I didn't mind iced mocha - Just ok. It tastes like cocoa with cows milk. I didn't like it as much, but my friend who got it loved it. To each their own. They also sell merch and a limited amount of kitchenware. I do like their little table of peoples event flyers, business cards, etc. During the day, it can get pretty warm because they've repurposed the seating room from a garage set up, and the wall facing the sun is made mostly of glass. Some of the seats are out of the sun. They have a gender neutral bathroom which is pretty clean. This coffee shop is truly a hidden gem! It's almost hidden in the middle of the block, you might miss it if you're driving too fast. Luckily, I didn't. I ordered an iced lavender honey oatmilk latte, berry chia pudding, and a sage & cheddar croissant. Everything was a 10! The croissant was the perfect amount of sage and cheddar, not overpowering at all. It was also very soft and fresh! The same goes for the chia pudding, very fresh. The latte used real lavender and had a nice strong flavor that you just can't get from a lavender syrup alone. I can't wait til my next visit so I can try something new on the menu! read more

This is a great cafe to go if you're looking to get some work done. There is tons of natural light and on warm days they open up the garage door for some fresh air. They have lots of outlets and wifi but be sure to go early thought because it fills up pretty fast. I usually get one of their teas with some honey. I've been to Cafe/5 numerous times and my favorite thing on the menu are their cold brews with cream tops. I've tried all of them but my favorite has to be the lavender one. There is ample space inside to catch up with friends and it also makes for a great work/study space. I can't recommend Cafe/5 enough. I can't wait to try their mint cold brew next time!
