The Milk Cream Bun was light and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. The Miso Cinnamon Roll completely surprised me. I was curious how miso would work in a cinnamon roll, but it didn't taste noticeably like miso. Instead, it added a subtle savory umami that elevated the sweetness of the cinnamon roll beautifully. It was unlike anything I've had before. This place left such a great impression that I already want to come back and try the rest of the pastries. Highly recommended!

Visually, they looked really promising, and from what I could see, everything was being hand whisked. Unfortunately, the drinks missed the mark for me. The matcha was smooth and not overly sweet, but it leaned more grassy, while I personally prefer matcha with nuttier notes. That part really just comes down to preference. The hojicha was more disappointing. It was still a little powdery, which was distracting, and I found it quite sweet. I was told it was lightly sweetened with agave, but the sweetness seemed to overpower some of the hojicha flavor. The hojicha itself seemed like it had a good flavor underneath, but everything together just didn't work for me. The cafe has a nice atmosphere and a pretty expansive menu, so it's possible I would've had a different experience with other items. However, considering how busy it was in the middle of a weekday, I'm not sure I'd recommend it as a reliable work or study spot. The staff was fine, but nothing particularly stood out about the service either. Overall, I've had much better matcha and hojicha elsewhere, especially at this price point.
