We came here after exploring red rock canyon because we were craving a cold treat. We ordered 3 of their signature upside down halo halo and 1 of their regular halo halo. The halo halo was very creamy. I liked that they used boba in their halo halo as opposed to red bean in halo halo which I'm not really a fan of. It also came out really quick, which we were very happy about. This cafe has a lot of available seating and has really good air conditioning which I appreciate. There is also a decent amount of parking available so parking isn't an issue here. I definitely recommend checking this spot out if you haven't already. Try it out if you like. :)
This is a cute cafe. There's a lot of tables to sit and look cozy enough to do some studying and small get-together. The staff was patient and helpful as there were quite the amount of pastries and drinks on the menu to choose from. I like that each pastry was already individually packed. The mais con yelo dessert and the drink (I forgot its name, sorry) was great. The tree leches was a bit too much ube flavor for me, but my husband liked it. The bread pudding was amazing. The mais con yelo bar was not really a favorite, it was pretty bland and dry. Overall, it was good experience and the food and drinks w bought were delicious. Not pictured: ube bread pudding
I got a marketing email and was able to snag one of the Valentine's Day heart specials. It was basically in very cute tin packaging, but essentially their Ube cupcake base with cream cheese frosting. It had the perfect amount of Ube taste and the cream cheese frosting and a perfect combination to it. It was super moist and not dry at all, which is what I like from café 86.
What a GEM of a coffee shop! The first thing we admired when we walked in was the life-sized models of Darth Vader and Chewbacca which immediately set the tone for our visit: unique and cozy with a tongue in cheek Star Wars vibe. The menu is extensive and includes some really fun coffee drinks with a scoop of ube ice cream right on top! My hubby snagged himself a cookie butter milkshake and I went with my caffeinated go to... iced coffee but with a sea salt float and boba! Holy smokes were both absolutely delicious AND affordable. My hubby is allergic to Oreos (I know.. what an unfortunate life roll amirite?) and they included them in his shake. When kindly asking if he could maybe choose something different from the menu instead, Alicia and Alison both hopped to making him a very literal BEST COOKIE BUTTER SHAKE EVER. He said he may just dream about this place and the shakes. That's HUGE as my hubby is pretty particular about his culinary delights. We will be back Cafe 86!! Thank you again!
The cafe is located in a small shopping center and I stumbled upon it right after dinner. I opted for a sweet treat and service was okay. There was no one at the front to talk to or take my order until I finally locked eyes with someone and they came around to the counter. I finally asked about different desserts and ended up choosing the Ube Flan I wish I asked a bit more because I didn't realize it was more of a cupcake with flan on top, which was my fault. Flan was okay; not too sweet, but had a hard texture not really creamy and smooth. The Ube Cake was good, not amazing, and some parts were a bit dry. Together it made more sense. The dessert was about $6 after tip. So a bit pricey too! Overall I wanna come back to try some other desserts next time.
First heard of this cafe on social, passed by the area one day so made a point to come try it out when we'd in the area again. Initially, we were intrigued because of the ube and filipino desserts, which we were happy with the choices. Then we were greeted with the Star Wars + Toyota AE86 decor and decided to hangout in the cafe while enjoying our desserts. We were immediately greeted by the cashier, who was patient as we navigated the menu while trying to keep our daughter's attention. They were also quick to get our order out. Ordered a strawberry calamansi cooler and upside down halo halo milkshake. Calamansi is a citrus fruit, popular in the Philippines, used for cooking and juices. It's similar to lemon and lime. Halo Halo (hah-low hah-low) is a Filipino dessert with ube ice cream, leche flan, beans, jellies and shaved ice. This cafe turns the ube and shaved ice into a milkshake with boba, with the added jellies at the bottom and the additional ice cream and corn flakes on top. We'll definitely be back to try more menu items and desserts!
I'm a major Ube enthusiast and any chance I get, imma come for my ube!!! Cute Ube Cafe in Spring Valley and they've got all things Ube! Def add to your Ube bucket list. We got the Upside Down Halo Halo, Ube brownie, Ube Truffle, Ube Butter Bar and Milo Cupcake. Space is pretty neat with life size Star Wars characters cleverly placed around. Friendly service all around.
Initially visited due to a hosted event but ended up ordering from the menu. Yelp has Cafe 86 highly rated, and since we're already here, might as well check out what they had to offer. Service: Being first timers, the cashier at the time was very nice and patient while we selected from the menu. Due to the ongoing event, I'm assuming the 15 minute wait for drinks is unusual on a regular day. Still warranted a 5 of 5 stars Food/Offering: Settled for the Halo Halo (like most folks that day) and Cali Mango w/ boba. I personally had the Cali Mango which was very good and the boba was cooked thoroughly. The Halo Halo, per my party, was noted to be good as well. 5 of 5 stars Overall: Nice little establishment with a life sized Darth Vader to greet you at the door. Seems like a cool place to hang out with friends. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.
I had a pleasant experience getting help from one of the cofounders James. I had an issue with using a reward within the time offered, and he was able to accommodate and personally help me out with re ordering this. I feel like the quality of things here are top notch. You can find basically anything Ube and have anything from little treats to drinks. My go to is the upside down halo halo, which comes with a bunch of toppings , flan, cornflakes , and magnolia Ube ice cream. It is quite large so it's best shared. I see a lot of different locations of this popping up and it's become more and more popular in recent years. If you are craving a sweet treat that is Asian and Ube inspired, I would definitely recommend this place!
We came back. The Upside Down Halo Halo was awesome! The Pastrami Sandwhich was good too. I just wished their staff did a better job explaining ingredients in their sandwich i.e. mayo, mustard, what type of cheese, etc.. When i inquired about the Sea Salt Coffee, he said it's just sea salt. Come to find out it was diluted in so much cream! Cool vibes and chill music inside. Friendly service, however both workers need to do a better job taking the patience to explain their menu.

Good quality place here. They have a chains in southern california as well. Food: the drink i go twas the ube milk tea with lychee. Good quality drink, nothing out of the ordinary. Yummy. Service: came during dinner time, no wait and plenty of desserts to see and to choose from. Cafe 86 loves their ube desserts variations. Ambiance: today was a may fourth, on a saturday. There was some small businesses selling merchant small goods. This place is perfect next to matiki hawaiian foods, get something sweet after something heavy! read more

Entering the cafe., I walked into UFC welterweight Chris Curtis, he was so humble & friendly. My wife & I ordered the upside down halo halo. This dessert is a must try, super tasty and delicious. The cafe was so cool & fun, with a Star Wars character greeting you at the front entrance. All in all I recommend this to anyone who comes visit this cafe. read more
Stopped here after having omakase next door. They are definitely a Filipino kid's dream bakery, all family party favorites are creatively turned to something else. Our favorite was the toron pop tart, so flaky and delicious, wonderful interpretation. They have a lot of seating in the restaurant but they get busy so keep that in mind. Free WiFi, cute atmosphere, great natural lighting, couches for photo ops and yummy food and drinks! I got the cookie butter latte which wasn't too sweet (perfect for my preference!) and the Ube pop tarts were to die for! Drinks came out quick and pastries were fresh! Truly an Ube heaven for all Ube lovers! Shocked I hadn't heard of this place before! Will definitely be recommending to all my friends that live in the area! read more

no sense of urgency! I asked for light boba and i got regular amount of boba... on top of that it doesn't even taste good. It's hard and has little to no flavor. I ordered the ube milk tea and it taste like cleaning materials, my bf also ordered the coffee mt and he says it taste like water. read more
Ube-by, baby! I died and went to ube heaven. Heard about Cafe 86 from a few friends a while ago, so had to check it out when I was in Vegas. Cafe 86 is located in a shopping strip, so parking is plentiful. The space is big, bright, and open. Tons of seating, and seems like a good place for working. Cafe 86 specializes in ube pastries and drinks. I love ube and could have easily gotten one of everything. Narrowing down my options to four was tough, but decided on an ube butter bar, ube leche flan cupcake, ube truffle, and ube crinkle. I also got an ube latte. Everything was excellent, it's difficult to pick a favorite. Really enjoyed all of them! The latte was great, too. I hope they open one in Phoenix! I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Vegas. read more
Nice place with somehow cool decoration. The car that was drawn on the chalkboard was really my favorite thing at the cafe. The service was somehow quick. The servers were nice but not seemed very welcoming.. Coming to the coffee, I really did not like it. All I tasted was water and a burnt taste without the coffee. I specifically asked my coffee to be made with almond milk, not sure actually if it was, I didn't taste it as well and I assume since I had rash after a while so it was not made with almond. My friend had the same opinion about the taste, she also tasted the bitterness of the burnt coffee. Unfortunately, we really thought that it was not good compared to the price. I was excited about trying Café 86. But I'm not sure if I should try again.... maybe I will have a better experience with a drink that has no coffee and hopefully update my review read more

Presentation is good however the taste is bland, ice is melted, bland not enough ingredients.. What a disappointment, the regular halo halo taste like water with a little coffee, then the upside down one is bland also,. we were so excited because of the reviews, but this is not worth the money. the girl who helped me is nice though, cafe is nice .. read more
Make way for the greatness of the day. Time to shine on, so stop in and get some play for the day. Halo halo is happy a drink away from one sip, but the spoon makes for the best way of delivery from cup to your mouth truly. Greatness can be dreamed of as you sip that halo and wonder no more how you reached such happiness. I'm still halo halo dreaming as the sips come and eventually will go. The cup empties soon enough then my only struggle is how to achieve a halo halo happy once yet again. As you sit and sip down that tea drink or great concoction in a cup, it's made fresh to order. The smoothness of the products they provide here have kept this cafe definitely not in an 86 way of ways. Who does not love a play on words? Truly something these days one sees is a cafe or tea stand here and over there. How they come and go? It's truly sad that so many businesses have begun only to fail because the market is so saturated and these days or financial benefits out weigh the problems with the extras we have left over at the end of the day. When you decide to spoil yourself make sure it's the best. You will never walk away unhappy from a product here. You can see the promise of your order in their eyes. Whatever you order and enjoy here will be the ultimate best! No matter what. Halo halo to you! Stop in and sip on something that's going to put a smile on your face! 03/09/24 this place never fails when it comes to their upside down halo halo. So good. I ordered their ube bread pudding and it came with a choice of vanilla or one ice cream. We got the vanilla ice cream. Besides the ube cheesecake this was actually my fave now. Yes, slightly pricey dessert but it's good. Service was good and the place remains clean. OHHHH MY WORD!!! I knew it would be good because of the other reviews and I wish still blown away! The upside down halo halo isn't overly sweet so you can actually enjoy the whole thing. I could have eaten an entire pan of the flan alone. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the cereal but it was perfect. The butter bar was also wonderful. The texture is dense but very smooth. It is so well balanced and not overly sweet. Service was wonderful. The woman taking my order was helpful and kind. read more
I tried this place through my friends about 2 years ago because they brought their desserts to class. This is my first time coming to their store. I ordered their Ube Leche Flan Cupcakes and it was so delicious. I wish I ordered their Ube Cheesecake because I remember eating it for the first time and I fell in love with it. They offer different variety of drinks and filipino desserts to choose from. Service was great. There was only one person working in the front and I give her props. This is a great place to study since they have many seats open. I'll definitely be coming back to try their drinks and get my ube cheesecake. read more

For the love of all things ube!! If you're a lover of anything ube, this is the spot. They have a wide variety of baked goods, but I stuck with their ube flavored items * Ube truffle - super moist ube cake rolled up into a delicious ball * Ube butter bar - buttery and dense ube on top of a sweet, buttery crust (BUTTER ON BUTTER) * Ube leche flan cupcakes - rich and creamy leche flan on top of an ube cupcake ***All moist and packed with ube goodness*** Of course I had to get a drink to wash all the sweetness down with more sweetness. A different approach to halo halo that includes boba! You can get an upside down halo halo that already has the Ube ice cream mixed inside. My husband got the cookie butter shake that will give diabetes more diabetes haha. It was soooo sweet but oh so delicious. Drink your calories, right? Yummy but not exactly authentic. We had the upside down halo halo, a concoction full of ube milkshake, vanilla ice cream, boba, assorted jellies, and small pieces of fruit. Delicious but possibly too sweet for some taste. Service was very fast, and dining area was casual and comfortable. The highlight of this place might be the wide variety of ube based baked goods and candies. Maybe we'll order it next visit. read more
This restaurant has the classic halo halo and upside down halo halo. It is an interesting concept. I wanted to try the upside down halo halo. I was expecting the traditional halo halo ingredients in the upside down halo halo. As it turned out, it was really just taro milkshake with some falvored jellies and boba pearls. There was also a scoop of vanilla ice cream and custard. It was tasty but it was not a halo halo. I was missing all the traditional halo halo ingredients. I wonder if the classic halo halo has the proper ingredients. There was a nice seating area with plenty of tables and chairs. read more

We've been to Cafe 86 twice now, and both times we ordered the regular Halo-Halo -- hands down, the best Halo-Halo we've ever had! Everything in the cup is delicious, perfectly balanced, and so refreshing. You can't forget about their interior either -- super cute and cozy! My friends highly recommended this place while we're in Vegas and I can see the hype! Good amount of variety of ube desserts. We went right before closing on a Thursday and there was still a good amount to choose from. We ordered the ube dessert bar, ube crinkle cookies & calamansi mango slush drink. The workers were friendly but not too talkative. Probably tired from the day. They did add a free iced tea drink to our order. Wasn't sure why but it was a nice treat! My absolute favorite was the calamansi mango drink! Highly recommend! Its hard to explain but kind of creamy tasting with an after taste of calamansi. So unique and refreshing! Overall, you can't go wrong with anything you order from here. read more

Why do you close so early? This is Las Vegas
It's a bakery and a tea shop. Most close early anyways. If you're looking for late night drinks try Cloud Tea.

The last time I went there they no longer did rewards. I don't think they started it up again.

Any day of the week but they sold out fast so I'd recommend to go early or the time when they open.
Do they have lunch food? (ie savory options)?
They have grilled cheese sandwiches. My husband and I tried it and it was really good, very cheesy. They serve it with a heaping amount of potato chips.
Are the desserts marked if they contain nuts for those w nut allergies?
No you will have to ask them. They are very friendly and helpful.
