I've had lunch at Cafe Alfresco a handful of times. I've always enjoyed my sandwich there, but the last one I had was just SO delicious. The squash blossom sandwich consisted of a flour-coated and sauteed squash blossom with cheese, pesto, lettuce and tomato. I ate every last bite of it and can't wait to try another one on a future visit to the Cape. This is also a family-run business where everyone is friendly and service is quick. Our family stopped by Cafe Alfresco this afternoon for a late lunch. We had such a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in. We received a warm greeting, saw lots of great menu options, and had friendly service throughout our visit. Our order for a family of four arrived quickly. We enjoyed our lunch on the outdoor deck. Great food for great price. Will definitely add Cafe Alfresco to our "go to" list during our future visits to Cape Cod. read more

The staff was friendly and the food was hot. The buffalo chicken sandwich left was tasty but had maybe a 3 oz portion of chicken. I never open a sandwich before I eat it but wish I had. Only one half of the sandwich had chicken. No way to prove it because I ate what little there was. Check your sandwich for chicken first. Very disappointed. Everything else was good. read more

I've passed this place many times, but today I stopped in for a quick lunch. One look at the menu board and I started grinning from ear to ear: BLT on your choice of toast. Sold! Cafe Alfresco had a large sandwich menu that ranged from falafel to paninis to scallop sandwiches and fish roll ups just to name a few. Most sandwiches range from around $6.95-$11.95. They also had plates like fish and chips and other seafood platters. I got a fresh tuna burger ($9.95). It was served with baby greens, mayo, lettuce and tomato on a big fresh bun with a bag of chips. I enjoyed the sandwich; it was simple and fresh. I have a different take on this place Here on Sunday morning. Other places in vacinity too crowded for breakfast even in the off season. Have not been here in sometime so decided to try it. The hallmark of a good restaurant is management and concern for the customer. Certainly this sunday, this restaurant failed miserably though judging from the manager's responses and other reviews, they will not give a whit about our disappointment. We do live here but will never come back. Arrived at 10:55 AM. Breakfast posted until 11AM. The individual behind the counter who I find was also the manager let individuals jump in front of us. Since they were from the UK, wish them well and hope they enjoy their stay. But, when our turn came, slightly after 11AM with the kitchen still delivering breakfast to other people, we were told the kitchen closes at 10:30 and the sign was in error. Really! Could not find that sign but if it was closing at 10:30, remove the 11AM posting. She cared not at all. We walked out and went to Jo Mama's which was okay. As noted, I am sure Cafe Alfresco will survive our negative review. But, let it be known that indifferent young people are not engendering warm feeling from older local customers and eventually, it will become problematic. read more

Perhaps it was an off day, but I grabbed a much-needed latte five minutes after the doors opened and it was downright dreadful. I've been coming to the Cape every summer for 20 yrs and this is the best place, hands down, for muffins. The owner makes them herself, and they are moist, flavorful and simply delicious. I think this place has the best lobster roll on the cape. They toast the bun perfectly and the lobster meat is top quality. I've also had the smoked salmon sandwich on rye that was just as good. If you go in the summer, I recommend calling ahead as they get pretty busy around lunch and the wait can be kind of long. read more

The coffee is the only thing worth stopping for.. The rest is overpriced diner food served to you in Styrafoam.. Styrafoam!? What year is it? The burrito could have easily been from McDonalds not even fresh salsa.. It came from a jar. The syrup they give you for the $7 French toast is Mrs Butterworth in packets..
