Arroyo Grande is always a great stop along Highway 101. A historic town, filled with interesting shops, restaurants and points of interest. Today, we stopped for lunch at Cafe Andreini on the main street. We both agreed that the Avocado toast sounded terrific. It was all we hoped for and more! Coupled with their delicious coffee, it was a great choice. They have lots of fresh baked treats and breads for sale, along with gift items. They were very busy and obviously a locals favorite. I really enjoyed this cafe! My fiancé and I both ordered coffees, I got the brown sugar, honey, and cinnamon latte and it was delicious! We also got sausage breakfast tacos and they were made with fresh, yummy ingredients and presented beautifully. Lots of tomato, onion and avocado, my only suggestion is I could have used a little more cilantro. I think next time I come, I'll try the breakfast burrito. The girls who took our order, also made the drinks and food and were very sweet and friendly. There's an overall almost European ambiance with high ceilings, rustic decor and eclectic furniture that made me think of a cafe nestled in the Italian countryside. The service today was odd. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and waited for my name to be called. After seeing the ladies behind me in line get their drinks before mine, I walked up to the counter and saw my drink right there on the counter all alone like a sad duck. My name wasn't called but I saw my name written on the cup and it was an iced caramel macchiato and both baristas were done with making their orders already so I knew it had to be mine so I grabbed it. They were mute but looked at each other when I grabbed it. I was so confused. I heard them repeat other people's names when an order hadn't been picked up, but they didn't call out the name for my order and I was sitting next to the cashier, hearing every name, even the harder ones. I regretted tipping 20% ahead of time on my card. The thing is, the iced caramel macchiato wasn't special compared to the other coffee shops on Grand Ave, so it didn't make up for it. I recommend that you stand 2 feet in front of the counter to make sure you get your order. That way, you can get your drink faster and be on your way to finish other business. read more

But the fact that you have to toast your bagel with the smallest size of crème cheese is outrageous for $4 not only that they make you wait 10 minutes for a bagel they pulled out of the bag. It not just the bagel you have to heat yourself it includes the ham and cheese croissant . I went here to get a simple breakfast burrito before work, ended up waiting 30 minutes even though I got there right after they had opened and when I finally got the burrito the eggs were actually black, I've never seen black eggs in my life until today. Somebody made that, saw that it was burnt black, put it into a tortilla and rolled it with their hands and then handed it to me... Literally literally why? That is so messed up, learn some quality control. Right on the main road in Arroyo Grande, Cafe Andreini is in the heart of downtown. I stopped in for a brunch on a Sunday to try out this cute South County spot. They are known for their open face sandwiches and "open" avocados, which is an avocado cut in half. I ordered a matcha latte and the nutty bruschetta open avocado. The matcha latte was delicious! They blend it for you as well as it is like a matcha smoothie! I drank it up so quickly on a hot summer day! It was sweet and tangy all at the same time. One of the better matcha lattes I have enjoyed in SLO County. The nutty bruschetta was good. It was a very light snack as it was mostly avocado with some nuts on top and coated in balsamic. It definitely did not fill me up. My matcha latte and avocado came out to be $14. I found it to be pricey for what it was: a very simple brunch. read more

My daughter and I were so excited to find this place. The ambience was great! And was great for catching up after not seeing each other for more than a year. We were looking forward to breakfast since we just finished running in the trails. You could say we were hungry! Could this be a place for hungry people? It looked perfect! The food was a great disappointment and a let down. The tacos and burrito were cold when we got them. The food was dry. The bacon tasted like it's one of those premade, jerky looking ones at Costco. The food almost felt like it has been sitting out as one of those food on display. It was chewy. The açaí bowl was a soup bowl. Watery, very watery. If it weren't for some frozen fruit in the bowl and the color of the soup, you couldn't tell it was an açaí bowl. It could very well have been a cereal bowl with purple milk. I was thinking it could be because we were outside and the sun could have melted the açaí at an approximately cool temp of 60 deg. I have had açaí in Brazil at a place that sits on the equator but never ate an açaí soup. The fruit in the açaí now was fresh though. I also got a decaf spiced chai that was overly sweet. My daughter got a cold latte with oat milk, which she thinks is "okay". To sum it up nice place, great ambience, barely waking up staff and the food is disappointing. Three words - creamy vanilla bean! I love vanilla bean in my latte and their vanilla bean was delicious. I will definitely be back several times to get that latte. My husband and I tried their stuffed breakfast croissant and their veggie breakfast burrito which both were tasty. The croissant was pretty buttery so if that isn't your preference, then their croissant won't be for you; but if you do like that, you will love the stuffed breakfast croissant. There were a variety of breakfast items on the menu that makes it great for picky eaters. On a nice sunny day, the outdoor patio at the front of the building is very enjoyable. read more

Been going here for many years. Recent experience was kind of a bummer, as they used to serve very good and high quality food- it has gone downhill considerably, especially for the price they charge. Your food sits at crowded bar when it comes out, and if it's hot when it comes out, it's cold by the time you sit down with it. They have no system in place to alert you that your food is ready- except calling your name out once, so you're forced to stand in a small crowded space to ensure you hear them. In addition, they only provide single use plastic (non-compostable) containers, lids and utensils for everything. Sad, given that there are affordable environmentally acceptable alternatives. Coffee is still good. Hopefully they'll take notice of the recent reviews and get back to their old ways. I'll try again, but with so many other options, one more try and I'm done. read more

Great staff, young lady today at the front on July 13th, 2022. Very helpful. My son ordered the blast acai bowl, slightly disappointed as the description on wall menu stated raspberries, they no longer have that item. We wanted coconut shavings they were out of that too, so between the wall menu description changes but not updated and the limited toppings offered it was ok. Cinnamon roll delish! Highly recommended. Overall staff was great super sweet, I would come back and give it another try hopefully they can offer more topping options. read more

Since moving to Arroyo Grande, the wife and I have been here a handful of times. It's consistently good. With a Starbucks on every corner, this coffee shop/cafe is a refreshing change from the norm. The atmosphere inside is warm and cozy. You can choose from many seating options inside from cafe table to cozy couch. They also have seating outside, with views of the charming village of Arroyo Grande. I always get the caprese avocado toast and it has yet to disappoint. Always delicious. The coffee always strong and rich. Hints of berries and fresh earth. And while I prefer dark chocolate notes in my coffee, I crave theirs. The staff is always super friendly. We love the coffee here but the 2 servers there today were on a different planet. We ordered a croissant from one of them and asked for it to be warmed up. When I went back to get it, it was still in the display case and she said she hadn't charged us for it (???). Then the other server (with a nose ring) gives me one and tells me I can warm it up in the microwave. That croissant turned out to be so stale it must have come from the Neolithic era. The nose ring server replaced it with another one that was just about edible but she should have given me my money back. Came in for brunch with a friend. Place is nice and clean but it was crowded. You order at the counter and then are given a number so they can bring your order out. We ordered a coffee, chardonnay, Avo Toast, and the Lox Cream CheeseToast. My Lox was extremely delicious and the Salmon was smoked perfectly! While enjoying my company, a small nat entered my chardonnay glass. I requested another serving and they gladly gave me another serving. Thank you for a great breakfast. Obviously a lot of adjustment have been made during Covid but they are fully operating and still have a smile to great you (under the mask) . They have removed/rearranged most indoor seating but outside is a great option and a few tables are inside, aerated, limited and we'll ventilated.
