I'm really amazed on how this place received 3.5 stars 0~0 My first impression of this place was its big, open, bright, high ceiling coffee house with light xmas decor. Immediately I'm thinking to myself, why did they receive such low rating. So after checking the place out and finding a table w soft comfortable chairs, we decided to order a small hot chocolate, small peppermint bark tea and their holiday egg nog latte. Everything was delicious!!! But what really got us was the incredibly friendly and happy service we received. The girl behind the counter with her big smile really made our day :) The only downside was they do play country music in the background...not a fan :( but if we are ever in town...we would definitely come back for coffee and service. Bacon bits on top of the scrambled eggs work really well with the toast. Scrambled eggs toast comes with salsa. Salsa balances the missing hotness from the scrambled eggs and the bread. Ordered take out and stayed in patio to eat. I think this was the pandemic arrangement. All the food was great. Acai bowl was a good portion and very fresh, the loaded toast with avocado feta and balsamic was as beautiful as it was tasty, and the breakfast croissant with ham and cheese was delicious hours later on the road. The owner is an awful homophobic miserable money greedy woman. She only hires a "certain type" of person. The coffee is burnt and awful and the place is absolutely filthy once you look past the initial aesthetic of the place. California Fresh Market has far better coffee and prices! The vibe is reminiscent of Starbucks; very mellow and unrushed. What is different, however, is the fabric on thechairs are thread bare and not all of the seats have back supports. The pulled pork sandwich was tasty. My wife and I gobbled it up. My wife also said the Mango iced tea gave her a caffeine buzz. I don't know if that is good or bad. The tea did not appear to be old. One criticism is the fact there is only one toilet and the lock on the door does not appear to work well. ---------------/ 2/25/19 Decided to try the Andreini Italian. It arrived 15 minutes later without the carmelized onions. When I asked the cashier she said sorry, "we forgot" and helped the next customer, trying to shutdown further conversations about the sandwich. Thinking it would be nice to get out for a cup of coffee on a Sunday in the village , but what is going on andrini's ? The music was so hyper loud in there that it was hard to hear the person behind the counter . People come in to have conversations hang with their family and friends. Maybe no manager on site? Of course the avocado was a spread and in my opinion not a very thick spread, slices always present better but are more difficult especially when you're busy. My cinnamon roll was one of the best I've had with plenty of "raw" sugar to compliment the frosting. I washed that down with a Mocha Freeze. The location itself was perfect and probably most complementing was that it was not perfect and that felt comfortable. Tables with stools, couches and more seating in the rear, ha. There were board games too for those planning to camp awhile. I awarded only three stars because the bathroom, although clean had a broken/loose seat that was held at only one fasten point. Okay, so here's the thing-- I really like this place. It has a great atmosphere, great drinks, and is generally just a great place to hang out and do work at. Before Covid hit, I went often enough that I was just starting to be remembered by name by the cafe staff. However, as great as my previous experiences have been, I am genuinely pissed off about my experience today. I'll make this quick-- basically, the barista making my drink was not wearing her mask properly. Her nose was not covered the entire time-- a problem exacerbated by the fact that she tends to kinda hold the drinks she's making close to her face. At one point of time, she made eye contact with me, and I tugged my own mask further up the bridge of my nose, as if to say, "hey girl, don't want to bug you since I know times suck and customer service sucks, but I would REALLY like it if you demonstrated a basic sense of human compassion and fixed your dang mask." She only smiled at me with her eyes and finished the drink. She fixed her mask afterwards and made no mention of the social, health, and moral faux pas she had made. I waited until I was outside to trash my drink, as I no longer felt as though it was safe to drink. This in itself is dubious at best, but while I was waiting for my order, a manager came into the cafe and was fairly lax in her mask-wearing policy as well. And by "lax," I mean going from wearing it under the nose (improperly) to straight-up taking it off completely (as someone working in foodservice should not). Again, I really like this place, but c'mon guys! We've been at this whole pandemic thing for over half a year already. Can you please not have the brain capacity of petroleum jelly? So, yeah. I'm not going back here until this pandemic is over (if it ever will be). Which really sucks because, as before mentioned, I really like this place and would like to see it around for years to come. But I, a young adult who can't even get the courage to ask for extra sauce at most restaurants, am so pissed off by this that I am writing a review about it. It's that much of a dealbreaker. Sorry to have to write this review but this place was awful. We ordered a Bagel and cream cheese, two drip coffees - one medium roast one dark roast. The bagel was straight out of a package from the grocery store shelf and the cream cheese was actually still in the package from the grocery store. They handed it to us cold an told us there is a toaster on the counter. Hi, COVID much? Complete violation of food safety. Didn't matter because the toaster was broken which the staff knew as they asked, "that toaster giving you fits?" If you know it's broke fix it? There was no creamer for the coffee and after seeing the staff fill the creamer from a different container that looked "yellowish" in nature we skipped it. The coffee was something else. I took a sip of the dark roast, then took a second sip to confirm I was tasting something awful. My partner was making the same face as I so I tasted the Medium roast - awful. We promptly threw all three items in the trash and left. There is also a pretty HEAVY locals crowd that seem to be the bulk of their business. I would not have mentioned this had the staff paid NEAR the attention to new guests. The employees seemed lost as if they had no training whatsoever. read more

We came here around 11:30am on Monday morning and ordered the sausage burrito. It was totally average. The sausage was hot, the scrambled eggs were warm and yet the cheese inside was cold :/ Not even a good lashing of spicy sauce could save it. I ended up giving the left over half of my half, to my boyfriend, who reluctantly ate it along with his half. Even though the place wasn't super busy - there were a few tables with dirty plates / cutlery sat there when we arrived and they were still there when we got up to leave. The table we sat at, had a half full cup of something on it, which we moved to the side. On the plus side, there is loads of seating and the Wifi is fast.
