Had the tastiest tuna bacon melt I've ever had! The restaurant is located right past downtown, near several shops & parks, and connected directly to the college. The prices are very reasonable, and your food is made after you order, so it's super fresh. I ate my food so quickly, and the bacon was extra crispy and piping hot (kinda cool considering the fact that the tuna was ice cold). I will definitely be back!

Great coffee spot in the whaling city!

Cafe Arpeggio is my go-to whenever I'm in town. Great prices, great atmosphere and great wifi. Staff is warm and welcoming. On the corner of Purchase Street And Williams Street this cafe is in a great location, easily accessible to the SRTA bus station as well as the Ferry's to Martha's Vineyard and beyond!

The owner is very sweet and personable. Great selection of food and the order ahead option is very convenient when in a rush.

The Arpeggio sandwich was so good that I forgot how to formulate a complete sentence. I think it gave me a mini-stroke. Highly recommend.

Very no-frills cafe. It's open when you need it and gets the job done. They do drinks, baked goods, and music. I like it.

The Nook is a really special place. In my opinion, places like Mirasol are extremely overrated…read morecompared to what The Nook offers. The drinks here are outstanding. The Painkiller is fantastic, especially if you add caramel. The Epic Vanilla Skooma is dangerously addictive - the flavor profile is incredible, and honestly nobody else in the area comes close. The Buzz is another excellent choice. The food is just as impressive. Their linguica and cheese rolls are leagues above the competition, and I'd put them alongside the very best around. I highly recommend ordering a regular cheese roll leveled up with egg, bacon, and their house-made hot sauce. If you enjoy a Portuguese style hot sauce, this combination is absolutely worth trying - you will not be disappointed. The peanut butter cookie is unreal; I genuinely wish I had the recipe. The baked goods are consistently excellent, and whenever they have a special, just order it. I've rarely been disappointed by anything they've made. I used to live nearby and honestly miss having this place around. Their pizzas deserve recognition too. They're some of my favorite bar style pizzas in the area. If you prefer an ultra thin pizza, you might lean toward Dipper Cafe, but it's hard to beat The Meatball Thing, the Thanksgiving pizza during the holidays, and many of their other specialty pies. The atmosphere adds even more to the experience. They have arcade style games you can play while you wait, and the music is always great. If you're into King Diamond or heavier music, you'll probably hear something you love. If you live nearby or are just passing through the area, don't skip The Nook. For me - and for everyone I've recommended it to - The Nook easily earns the title of best coffee shop in the area.

-ONE PARAGRAPH REVIEW-…read more The Nook has great coffee. The Nook has great food- not entrés but café stuff: sandwich rolls, focaccias, muffins, etc. The Nook has old school, retro vibes. It has rock music vibes. It has creative, inspirational vibes. It has quiet, read-a-book-in-the-nook vibes but also loud Donkey Kong-guitar riff-crunchin' vibes; depending on the time and the day. It's perhaps a tad too small inside, but that's what makes it a nook. Lots of hot and iced coffee options, food is quality over quantity: get their signature cheese or linguica roll as-is or "leveled up" to make it an egg sandwich because it's the best around. And their focaccias are made like a pizza and imo are better than their actual pizza! Ok that's a paragraph!

A real mixed bag of stuff here at Riccardi's two Sundays ago for lunch…read more We rumbled in about an hour after they opened and overall, the restaurant was wide open in terms of seating. No issues with being seated or with having our drink order taken or house bread being offered right away. Just to skip more or less to the crux of the issue, it was about the details. Baked Penne with Meatballs Cheese Filled Ravioli Baked Lasagna The lasagna was as advertised and there was no real issue there. Good sized portion and the person who ordered that was very satisfied. The ravioli was presented in what I'll call a sauce rationed format. Small-ish swirl of sauce on the middle of the dish while everything not in the middle (give or take 65% of the portion) was raw dog dry. But mercifully, extra sauce was available, just in an odd format. Enter the penne. The penne itself were overcooked and the cheese on top was well beyond baked. More like a hardened helmet. The meatballs were served on a separate plate, and they came to the table, at best lukewarm but were swimming in a Buzzard's Bay of sauce that was dripping over the side of the plate on to the table. At the end of the day, the service was good and the food was sent out fairly fast. But with that said, one thing was more or less cold while its accompaniment was overcooked and another item was basically dry. If there is a next time, maybe we just skip entrees and go with the takeout pizza. That side of the restaurant had a steady flow of people coming in and out and seemed to be where the action was at. Note to file for the future.
