The bartender apologized because the server who had taken my order at the pool, did not relay to the bartender that the order was for the pool area. All in all, I would never eat here again. As a local, it's disappointing because the ambience is nice. But the food is overpriced and not even close to being good. And as for the service? My God. This was officially the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. Ever. When the manager of the hotel asked how our stay was, I casually mentioned that the restaurant was lacking in a lot of ways. But I didn't expand on the experience. However, I was surprised to see that the manager had taken off the meals from the charges to my room when I checked out. And I sincerely appreciate that. I never asked for it, but was appreciative as it was unexpected. Bottom line. The hotel is a nice stay, and I plan on staying again. But you couldn't pay me to eat at that restaurant.

If you like Elote, you might want to try these. One plate has three pieces, which is about 1/2 a cob of grilled corn. The Boston Cream Pie cupcake ($4) was ok but dry. We probably won't be ordering that again. We also tried the Passion Orange Guava Cake ($4), which was good. It was moist and had good flavor. We ordered a Coconut Lime Cooler ($5). Please note that if you order one of these, you pick it up from the next counter right after you pay. They don't bring it out with your food. If we're back at the Visitor Center we'll likely dine here again.
