It was my first time ever going to sweetgreen! I always thought it was just a glorified salad place…read morebut I was totally wrong.. I ordered the Caramelized garlic steak bowl and it was pretty yummy! Looking to refuel after a run on a Saturday morning, I wanted some healthy protein and sustenance. The carmelized garlic steak was so TASTY! When picking what I wanted, I was sold because the bowl also had sweet potatoes with the steak. The combo is unmatched and the pesto vinaigrette was the cherry on top. Also, the menu says it contains "spicy broccoli", but its not spicy at all (heat-wise). If anything, the flavors of the bowl masked the broccoli. (Make sure to ask for the free slice of bread, it was so good!!) It is like a chipotle version of a salad/protein bowl assembly line. So, as long as they had all the ingredients for your bowl, the wait was pretty quick. They had quite a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating on Castro St. Water was available on the side, so you don't have to actually buy their fancy, canned water. And on a side note, their bathrooms were super clean, which is always a big plus! It was a solid first experience!

Sweetgreen's salads are my favorite, but I think I would be wary about this location in the future…read moredue to wait times. On a Friday around 8pm, I walked in to order in person. There were only four other people ahead of me, so I thought it would be quick. Plus, it looked like there were at least 4-5 staff within the facility. It somehow took 30 minutes to get my salad. They kept apologizing saying "sorry for the wait", but I'm not super sure why nobody was a the counter. It didn't seem like they were pumping out online orders either. Perhaps it was a busy prep time for them.

Yikes! Stayed at the hotel this past weekend for a birthday staycation and was excited to try this…read morerestaurant. I dined with my daughter Friday night (08/28). It wasn't busy so I was surprised at how awful the service was. The young man who seated us looked like he hated life. I should've known that his vibe was only the beginning. Our evening went downhill from there...After our order was taken, and our food brought out, we never saw our server again. I finished my prosecco and never got the opportunity to order a second glass. Eventually, I told my 6-year-old to wait while I went and asked for a dessert menu. At which point I mentioned that we never saw our server. The woman at the stand handed me dessert menus and said someone would be with us shortly. A different server came and took our dessert order. But after dessert was brought to us, once again we were ignored. When I tell you that we could've gotten up and left and never paid, nobody would have noticed. That's how much we were ignored. I was fucking pissed at this point. I got up with my child to go complain when the server quickly noticed and asked if everything was ok...fuck no it's not ok! Quickly gave him my room number and said that the evenings service was atrocious. And we walked away. And if the service was bad, the food was worse. When I tell you a DiGiorno pizza is better than their rendition of a margarita pizza, it's not an exaggeration. My pizza literally had four tiny sprigs of basil. And their olive paste garnish on it is unnecessary. Their twist on the margarita pizza was not appetizing. I can't complain about their fries though. It was basically the only thing we ate that we enjoyed. Their guacamole was rough too. Lacked flavor. The dessert was the biggest disappointment, food-wise. It appeared to be a brownie baked on a chocolate chip cookie, cut into a pie slice. It was HARD. I gave up trying to get my spoon through it. Needed a steak knife. The ice cream was fine. After this experience, we decided we would not be eating at the restaurant for the rest of our time at the hotel. We went and picked up food or ordered in. The bartenders seemed nice, but once the afternoon hit, my daughter had to wait over 30 minutes for a Shirley Temple to be brought to the pool. After waiting too long I decided to get up and go to the bar and ask what was going on. Her Shirley Temple was sitting there at the bar, and they had accidentally put it in a typical glass, which is not permitted at the pool. The bartender apologized because the server who had taken my order at the pool, did not relay to the bartender that the order was for the pool area. All in all, I would never eat here again. As a local, it's disappointing because the ambience is nice. But the food is overpriced and not even close to being good. And as for the service? My God. This was officially the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. Ever. When the manager of the hotel asked how our stay was, I casually mentioned that the restaurant was lacking in a lot of ways. But I didn't expand on the experience. However, I was surprised to see that the manager had taken off the meals from the charges to my room when I checked out. And I sincerely appreciate that. I never asked for it, but was appreciative as it was unexpected. Bottom line. The hotel is a nice stay, and I plan on staying again. But you couldn't pay me to eat at that restaurant.

He was quick and calm despite how busy it was. I ended up with the club sandwich and strawberry layer cake. I asked Mo about the matcha since I love matcha errrrythang, but he said he'd personally never tried it before. It was honestly refreshing that he didn't try to upsell me. I'll have to come back and try their matcha items! Prices are reasonable and food was good, but what made it stand out versus other tech cafe's was the customer service. Mo was super professional and welcoming and when I tried to add a tip for his great service, I noticed that Google doesn't allow tips. I actually like that because it shows that service isn't tip driven. Hopefully this review to recognize Mo can take the place of a tip, and Google continues to hire friendly people like him!

You order the food, find a table and then pick up your food when your order is ready. It took about ten minutes on a day when they did not seem crowded. We ordered a Chicken Pesto Sandwich ($12.50), a Farmer's Market Cobb Salad with Chicken ($13) and the Aleppo Pepper Corn Ribs ($5). The chicken in the sandwich and the salad were typical cafe quality, with slightly dry chicken. The menu has a number of healthy dining options. The corn ribs were good. If you like Elote, you might want to try these. One plate has three pieces, which is about 1/2 a cob of grilled corn. The Boston Cream Pie cupcake ($4) was ok but dry. We probably won't be ordering that again. We also tried the Passion Orange Guava Cake ($4), which was good. It was moist and had good flavor. We ordered a Coconut Lime Cooler ($5). Please note that if you order one of these, you pick it up from the next counter right after you pay. They don't bring it out with your food. If we're back at the Visitor Center we'll likely dine here again.
