This is my first time here, I order peachy salad it was delicious and great customers service...

I went in earlier this week and I gotta say amazing service, good team leading, very clean lobby and delicious blacken chicken.

I love their salads "almost" more than other places. But this has to do with eating there- and perhaps a bit unfair being am once specific? (I am usually am "to go" salad person) But the space is serene and spare and white and green. Should be relaxing. 4 stars but down to 3 for in person eating experience. I wish there was maybe a sign posted about trying to not be playing your tv shows while you eat here - like my nail salon asks, with a sign to please refrain from cellphone use. (not a quick phone call coming in- but like- bla bla bla from your device affecting "everyone"around you) The loss of that respect for the people around you and the shared eating space in which to have your lunch is frustrating. I don't dare do it without earbuds- yet as a customer- I don't want to have be the one to have to approach people about this basic common etiquette. I suppose that person who might be approached by staff would threaten to never eat there again- yet I feel like the rest of us would feel grateful, protected and would respect the business more to take such a stand. read more

I really love Mixt as a concept, and I actually enjoy most of the places . But the Mill Valley location is just not even close to the others -- both in taste and service. My last visit today was honestly unacceptable. The girl named Sara was talking nonstop in Spanish with her coworkers and completely ignoring me while I was ordering. I had to repeat "mixed cob salad, two to go" three times. I also always prefer fried chicken on my salad, but it wasn't even presented as an option -- she just finished the salad the way she wanted, without asking. She seemed far too busy chatting to actually listen, and completely ignored what I was saying. Then she prepared the salads for dine-in, and when I clarified I needed them to go, she rolled her eyes and said I told her otherwise. It felt rude, dismissive, and honestly very uncomfortable. What made it worse -- the salad itself tasted terrible. Way too much funky, fella like an old oil.. The whole experience felt like I was interrupting a private conversation rather than being a customer. For reference, I've been to this location at least 5 times, and none of those visits were great. I tried to give it multiple chances because I like the brand, and I don't believe in judging a business based on one employee. But at this point, it feels like a pattern. As a business owner myself, I would strongly recommend to managers to reviewing the team and service standards at this location. Compared to other Mixt locations, this one is by far the worst. It's really disappointing because I genuinely like the brand -- but after this experience, I won't be coming back! read more

Absolutely loved my salad from Mixt! Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The tofu was perfectly marinated and creamy, with just the right kick from the dressing.and the quinoa added a nice hearty texture. I also appreciated the variety--crunchy cucumbers, fresh greens, and edamame gave every bite something different. The green dressing on the side was zesty and refreshing. MIXT never fails to make a knockout salad. Their consistency across locations is excellent, they give generous portions (one salad can easily be two meals, especially if you buy a few extra fixings on the side), their roast veggies outclass all other fast casual salad joints and their employees are unfailingly polite (and often give another dressing or ingredient in the house). I especially love the customizable salads, but the preset dishes are good too (especially the Mandarin with tofu as the protein). They are lightning fast and the price point is exceptional (it makes a grocery store salad look like a splurge!). I have special love for their cauliflower and lime crema dressing (with a supporting cast of corn, crispy onions, kale and scallions), but have enjoyed most ingredients I've tried. Some of the locations aren't super vibey as a hangout but their takeout focus makes that forgiveable. That said, Mill Valley and the Inner Sunset are both great and I hope to try the Salad Lounge in the Mission. Try MIXT. You won't be disappointed. PS their house hot sauce is fire. read more

I've loved the salads from MIXT ever since they opened here, and I've always gotten the same thing: Mandarin salad with the fried chicken. I never had an issue until a week ago. The romaine lettuce looked quite old/wilted, but it tasted fine. About an hour after eating it, the stomach and gastrointestinal issues began. I'll spare you the specifics but it did something unique on the GI end. Nothing major but definitely not feeling great for the next 6-12 hours. I would not have written this review if it had ended there, but I figured it was a one off and had the same salad today. Exact same issues, I even ate less of it this time to try and be on the safe side after taking a peak at the romaine towards the bottom. It isn't as bad as last time, so that worked to an extent. But that same unique GI issue. I will, at the very least, be avoiding the romaine lettuce and asking for a swap the next time around. Please get it together, MIXT. Based on some other reviews I've read, this isn't just me. read more

I wanted desperately to love this place but our recent order was so botched I have to say something. We got the grilled achiote chicken and to say it was overcooked and dry would be a vast understatement - it was chicken jerky. Avoid meat nearer to the end of the day - who knows when it had been cooked. This stuff could have been from the day before. I got the mandarin salad and it was missing a lot of ingredients including the star of the show... mandarins. My wife had a harvest salad and they got her ingredients all right. On the positive side besides the chicken the rest of the ingredients were fairly fresh, clean, and tasty. The dressing was totally worth it and I'd say rescued the meal from a 1 star review. Also the restaurant itself has excellent parking and is a nice looking place. So again, skip the meat unless you are getting it at a time when there's a lot of traffic and they're cooking the stuff fresh. Consider skipping a unique meat and go for a standard like grilled chicken instead, Check your salads before leaving the restaurant if you're getting takeout. Hopefully you have better luck than I did. read more

Also, there were very little greens and it came with crispy chicken, which we did not order. We are very disappointed as we had heard good things about this place and when I did not find a customer service phone number for that location, I was even further dismayed. Yes, the food was ready when I came to pick it up, and the person there was pleasant enough (smiled as I walked out the door with the box). But the portion size? Miniscule. What they show on the website bears no resemblance to what you get. I am not a big eater, but this was pretty ridiculous. Take the little BBQ sauce container out and it's less than 1/2 full. Tiny sandwiches and the bacon in my salad was overcooked and chewy. There was no seasoning on my fried cauliflower too.

As a regular costumer, I place my order 30 m before my pick up time, giving the restaurant enough time to have my order ready. Today I placed my order to be picked up at Noon, I arrived around 12:10 and for my surprise the restaurant was full, a line for in store order and people waiting for online orders. Another 20m... pass by and no orders made it to the window, one of the staff members briefly mention that they had a huge DoorDash order and all other orders were delay. ... is there a manager on duty? Why they couldn't pause online ordering on a time frame... finally my order was out at 12:43. Caused me been late at work after lunch time and having no time to eat... not mention the 2 guests that where annoyed and yelling to get their orders. What an awful experience. read more

I've been to many Mixt greens and this location is one of the worst. The salads are good, but they are smaller every time I go. The customer service is terrible. You will stand in line forever and have to repeat your order 3 times and they will still get something wrong. I waited for my salad, they handed it to me and wouldn't check me out- they d onto making more salads! Management needs to train their people or hire better staff. read more

Based on my rating I went back with some co workers today. It seemed much more disorganized than the day before. I liked the salad so much I decided to get it again and I could immediately tell it was being made differently. My salad was missing corn, and cornbread completely and had one drop of the maple drizzle. The maple sauce bottle was empty so they seemed to just skip it. I ordered medium dressing same as the day before and there was hardly any. Chicken was also soggy today. I thought I found my new place for when I work in Mill Valley but now I'm not so sure it's worth the risk of whether or not my food will be good today. I was forced to write this review because there are no phone numbers listed for ANY locations so I was unable to call and give them the opportunity to make it right. My coworker got the Puebla salad and it was missing cabbage, sweet potatoes and cheddar. I know they just opened but for the prices and the additional sur charge missing items is a huge letdown and completely changes the flavor of the salad. ****** Update: came a third time for their grand opening and they were on it. I have been wanting to come here for the longest time! I live in Cupertino, CA but in the area for a hike. I had to stop by and try their salads! I warned the staff it was my first time and studied the menu. So many choices! The staff was super helpful in making recommendations. They mentioned the "harvest" was very popular. So it's been a few months and I've actually been a really good customer to the new Mixt in Mill Valley. I go several times a week just because I crave something healthy and local. I still think the quality of their ingredients are quite good and the flavors are there. However, the size/quantity issue not only hasn't been resolved but it's actually gotten worse. Every time I order from Mixt, I don't know what I'm going to get, a full-sized salad that I can eat as a meal (which does occasionally occur), or literally a half-salad that wouldn't even qualify as a side at most restaurants. Today, I received a salad that I laughed at (no joke) when I opened the bag. I refuse to spend another $15-$20 for half a salad that I cannot make as a meal. It's getting to the point of absurdity. For this reason, I won't be ordering from Mixt anymore until I can be sure I'm getting what I paid for. read more

Came in today for the free salad on opening day. The inside of the restaurant is light, bright, and inviting. Everything looks so clean and new. The service was friendly and quick. I got the elote salad, which tasted fresh and delicious. The portion size is huge, enough for 3-4 servings at my house! This is the worst business model I have ever experienced. It is outrageousLy expensive, especially when you request delivery. There are so many additional fees, you pay almost 40 percent more by the time all is said and done. If anything goes wrong, there is no phone number to call. You can email the company. If your delivery doesn't arrive, you can email the company, not even the store you order from. The chances of having the problem resolved same night are zero. And, there is no refund. The money is applied to your next order. the salads are good, but they're not that good. So not worth it. Never again. I lost 90 dollars tonight, because I'm not going to order from this place ever again, even with a 90 dollar credit. That's how aggravated I am after waiting nearly 2 hours for food that never arrived, not being able to contact anyone, and not being offered a refund. read more

I was VERY excited that Mixt was opening close to us. As soon as I came back from vacation, it was my first go to meal. I was terribly disappointed. It wasn't a busy time for lunch, around 2pm, and they were very disorganized. The salad fridge was a mess! Foods everywhere, all cross contaminated with the next ingredients, and each container didn't have it's own spoon (which would explain the mess!). The workers were not trained properly. I guess we'll keep going elsewhere for our salads. A huge disappointment. read more
