Service was quick! It was cool to see the process of making the beignets and have them right on our plates! Tons of yummy powdered sugar and were very warm Not picture is the frozen mocha- it was the right amount!

Everyone told us to try Cafe Du Monde while visiting New Orleans and the closest location to us was in a mall near the Mississippi River. I was surprised they opened at 9AM as I'm used to Cafe's opening as early at 6/7AM. The line wasn't too long and they had a good process to keep things moving. I really liked the beignets. They were incredibly fresh and hot. It went nice with a frozen mocha on a hot day. One order is a serving of three so that and the frozen coffee was a nice breakfast snack to share. We had no trouble finding seating. Overall a good experience.

Quintessential NoLa. You can't come to New Orleans and not have a beignet at Cafe Du Monde. This location is inside the Riverwalk Outlet mall - ambiance is not as cute as the French Quarter location, but this one is air conditioned, so if you want the goods while it's humid outside, this is the spot! Order a large hot cafe au lait (16oz half chicory coffee, half hot milk) and share the beignets. One order comes with three. Shake the powdered sugar off into your cafe au lait. Takes cash and physical credit cards, but no tap or Apple Pay.

Located inside a mall , some stores are outlets but not all. This has been our list to try of course - like any first timer at New Orleans. This location has seating and free water. It's inside the mall so of course air conditioning on those muggy days.  The amount of powered sugar is no joke. We bought the 3 pack and ended up eating them right there so they are fresh. It was good but we did comment on how we thought they would be lighter-like a donut. This was dense.  It felt heavy.  It was good but I don't know if I'll be back here for beignets, when there are other choices.

I highly recommend visiting this location over the original one in the French Quarter because it is far less crowded, and most importantly it has air conditioning as it is with an indoor mall! You get the same tasty treats, but you'll be a lot more comfortable and can sit near the pier. Get plenty of napkins because it gets messy! I prefer Cafe Beignet slightly over Cafe Du Monde, but these are still good. You must try them while you are visiting.

My cup of chicory coffee and a plate of two beignets, the other is in my stomach!

You cannot go to New Orleans without going to Cafe du Monde (coffee of the world). First of all, it has the hustle and bustle and feel of a European outdoor cafe (most French and European cafes can't seat upwards of a hundred people, but that is besides the point). The classic waiters' uniform consists of white shirt, black trousers, black bow tie, white aprons and white origami style chef hats. the uniformed waiters scream "je suis francais"!! Ah!! but the real reason is the chicory coffee (or hot chocolate or tea) and the three beignets that come in each order ($10 should cover this order and a tip). Do not accept an imitator!!

The New Orleans legend itself located in the Riverwalk mall, this was a perfect location to get a quick bite or drink in, and this place accepts credit card! I like how the beignets are made to order as is the coffee. You have to stop by and try one of the Cafe Du Mondes if you're in the city.

This location is at the end of the "mall" / outlets. Our hotel Was next to this mall so on our first day we started our day walking thru the mall, the shops were barely starting to open. Then we stumbled upon this - which of course was on our list to try their famous Beignets. We got the 3 pack- they were truly not kidding about the amount of powered sugar they put on top. When you look into our empty bag - you can save it for other desserts because there is so much! I have to admit these were not our fave at the end of our trip. These seemed more dense than I prefer. But it was on the list of must stops so of course-- we had to try.

Like many of the NOLA staples, this is a place everyone should visit at least once--once. After that, you can decide for yourself if it's worth revisiting or just another tourist stop BB

A staple of New Orleans and worth trying once! We went to this location instead of the French Quarter location because it was indoors and had much shorter lines. The line moved very quickly and they are super efficient. Chicory coffee tasted a bit water down but otherwise definitely recommend stopping by it's your first time.

The beignets were so warm and fresh when we came here. The service was fast. We ordered and they hand it over to you. There are plenty of places to sit in the area. The beignets were delicious specially with hot cocoa! A good snack, breakfast, or dessert. The ambiance was super cute too!

Came here on a girls trip and was told to directly to Cafe Du Monde! The beignets were delicious and definitely worth it, we sat outside and enjoyed them! Beware that they only accept Cash. We had a very rude woman as a server who basically yelled at us. she was just trying to get us out of there so she could turn our table. Other servers were being nice to the other guests so I don't think the establishment was rude but maybe try one of their other locations.

I was told to visit here for beignets and that I should have cafe au lait to dip the beignets into. Well I wasn't feeling hot cafe au lait but saw they had it in a frozen mocha version so I ordered that and I abandoned dipping my beignets in the cafe. I paid around $26 and some change for a small hot cafe au lait and my large mocha cafe au lait and two (2) orders of the lightly beignets. The beignets here are small and they come in threes. So I got 3 for me and 3 for a friend. I only could eat one for full transparency and saved the other two for much later. Beignets are too sweet and doughy for me. They were tasty but too much for me. This location is in the mall and there was a little line waiting to place orders so be prepared to wait. There is seating inside like almost like food court type of seating to me. Be prepared to sit in and have powdered sugar everywhere. I wasn't sure if they put so much powdered sugar on the beignets that it wastes everywhere or if they do not do as good of a job cleaning table and sweeping the powdered sugar off the floors. But it looked like everyone had powdered sugar on their clothes and under the tables and on the chairs. So be ready to get covered in sugar enjoying beignets here. The staff were nice and professional. I did somehow get four beignets in my bag because they had one beignet fried fused to another. The beignets were crispy on the outside and moist and doughy inside and sweet to me. They also were fresh and hot as you can see them being rolled out and cut and fried. I recommend this spot.

She was polite and hospitable, and said she couldn't wait to see me. It was the type of interaction you'd expect from Chick-fil-a. When I arrived, a young lady, perhaps a teenager, took my order and quickly boxed up my two dozen donuts. Again, she was hospitable and patient. I felt valued, and not like I was bothering them for patronizing their business. The donuts were still warm when I got home. The family quickly devoured them. And the icing on the cake? Two dozen mixed donuts were only $22 including tax. Other donut shops and bakeries could take a lesson in customer service from this place. It's simple--either train your staff to interact respectfully and professionally with customers, or if they lack the people skills, consider placing them in roles behind the scenes where they can still contribute without impacting the customer experience. I'm talking to you Buttermilk Drop and Adrian's Bakery. Regarding ambience, it's seen better days, and it's in a sketchy part of town.
