This location is charming, albeit smaller than the Flagship Ventura location. They still keep that European charm and due to the smaller space, it is a cozier, calmer cafe. When I was there, it was mid afternoon (before closing) so it was calmer all around. I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. Server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went. In general I felt a friendlier warm vibe compared to Ventura location, but either one is great for classic European vibe, and great pastries.

Stopped here on the way to Santa Barbara and got a vanilla oat latte, drip coffee, and their ham and cheese croissant. The latte was delicious, it was really the perfect ratio of milk, espresso, and syrup. They use verve coffee beans so it's good quality coffee! I had higher hopes for the croissant but it fell flat for me because it was too oily. Overall it's a nice place for a coffee and their waffles looked delicious!

Cafe Ficelle always comes in clutch when I'm looking for a coffee pick me up or a solid brunch spot in Camarillo. It's a casual & cute cafe that always hits the mark and we love seeing their growth all over the 805. I stopped in for an iced matcha and decided to try something new and I'm so glad I did. Huge kudos to Ashley for recommending their breakfast crepe (not something I'd normally order, but WOW was it good). BREAKFAST CREPE: A fluffy crepe filled with soft, melty brie, eggs, bacon, arugula and tomatoes, absolutely delicious and so well balanced. I'd get this again in a heartbeat. 10/10 ICED MATCHA: Washed it all down with a sweet iced matcha, just how I like it...lightly sweet, a little creamy, and still packing that earthy matcha flavor. 8/10. Definitely a great location in the heart of old town camarillo. Nice staff, clean interior, cozy vibes and good food.

Arrived on a Thursday morning about 9:30am...the place is packed...which is a good sign. I came get a good breakfast as I was hungry...when I came in the first thing I see is the coffee and tea menu and a few bread items in the bakery window. I was thinking...this isn't going to satisfy me...until I saw the great menu. I ordered the waffle combo with an ice tea...it was perfect. Filling and made with care. I recommend this place.

Stopped by Cafe Ficelle after walking through the Camarillo Outlets and Jaden was our server and made a great Americano as well as packaged up our three flavored croissants. The café is quite nice and serves breakfast as well. We simply stopped by for a snack and caffeine boost after walking 10000 steps at the outlets. Highly recommended

Two hours into our drive back to LA, and we were met by a sea of brake lights all aglow -- the 101 Fwy is backed up (as expected) -- and a good excuse to pull over for a quick break, which made La Ficelle in Camarillo the perfect stop. I've been to their much larger location in Ventura, so its familiar nameplate was a welcome sight. Nibbles for this afternoon were Kouign-Amann and Pain au Chocolat, and espresso (of course!). The former pastry is the delectable meeting between a buttery croissant and a glaze of caramelized sugar - with the unexpected pinch of salt on top to balance out the sweetness. Superb! And of course, Pain au Chocolat pairs perfectly with the espresso -- its bitter notes cutting through the buttery, flaky layers. Sweetness from the chocolate -- and the contrasting bitterness was great for the late afternoon's cool down. I'd love to rate this place a 5, but the outside patio's floor was an unattended collection of today's menus, attracting birds, that made me think back to St. Mark's Square, with birds gathering around discarded food. Our quick break turned into a lingering meal -- and got us through traffic. That -- and the welcome respite deserves 4 stars

First time here, looked cute so we stopped in. $19.00 breakfast sandwich with 3 paper thin ham slices and 1 small egg- basically a $19 croissant. Mocha Latte tasted like water- zero mocha at all and filled 3/4??? Why- The Americana coffee has a strange flavor to it- all in all will never return. My coffee got tossed. Ill Pay higher prices for meals but dont rip me off

Really enjoyed their matcha latte here! It was the first nicely sweetened matcha I've had which had a good flavor but wasn't overly sweet after asking for sweetener. Staff was very helpful in recommendations and when I asked for the wifi: espresso. Super cute cafe perfect for brunch, a quick chat, or to get work done. Has street parking and some in the back so I don't think it's terribly hard to find a place for your car. Can't wait to go back again!

Cute neighborhood bakery in Camarillo. We stopped for brunch on our road trip to the Bay Area from LA, and we were delighted to find such a roadside gem. The decor was chic and modern, and the service was friendly and helpful. We all got what we wanted, and the waffle was delicious. It's a bit pricey for the quantity, but it's money well spent.

I love to male stop here for quick healthy breakfast or brunch, I lobe basic and simple and the have exactly that. I order ice green tea an i am addicted to it . I also tried many items in ventura and Camarillo. Honestly nothing to complain about Nice people, calm ambiance and nice meal for good price . Service is always welcoming too

Was very excited to have breakfast here after having a great experience at the Ventura location. Unfortunately, the quiche Florentine was cold on the inside. They graciously gave us another one but still cold on the inside and didn't give it back with the side salad. There was dirt and mold on the fruit as well. Workers were friendly and the vibe is great here. Food quality could use some improvement.

Stopped here on a whim with a coworker. She mentioned this place for our quick morning break. I bake sourdough bread so their sourdough boules caught my eye. I couldn't help but admire their dark crust and signature "F" on them. They also had other baked goods and they also sell actual food like sandwiches. I got a hot chai latte. It was delicious and I wish I had more time to stay and enjoy the ambience of this cute shop.

I got an iced almond milk latte, which was pretty good. I also got a caprese sandwich to go. The bread was very fresh and I liked it. Kind of like a small baguette. Travelled very well. Took a bit of time to make. But it was worth the wait. The ambiance was nice. And it gave me an opportunity to read a sign that said house made raspberry jam. Super tasty stuff. Certain things are a bit pricey and others are not. A lot of places to sit inside and out. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. I think it's good quality and worth trying.

You definitely have to get their pastries. I didn't get any of their dishes, but the pastries are for sure a must.

Okay... Sandwich Spot in Thousand Oak is officially one of my new go-to spots. I've had the 805…read moresandwich twice so far and both times it was SO good ..like fresh, flavorful, and hits every time. The shop itself is small but clean, with a few seats inside and a little outdoor seating too. It's nothing fancy, but it's exactly what you want from a sandwich place: quick, easy, and comfortable. Customer service was great... everyone was friendly and the order came out fast. No long waiting, no confusion, just straight to the point (and delicious). If you're in the area and want a solid sandwich that actually tastes like it was made with care... get the 805. Trust me. Definitely coming back. Pro tip: I added extra onions and jalapeños and took away the mayo (I prefer a certain type of Mayo brand). My preferred flavor profile: Umami-forward (savory/salty depth) Acidic / bright (tangy + sour) Pungent & intense (spicy + bitter notes)

I really wanted to like this and had high expectations, but I left disappointed. Two dudes were…read moreworking, and when I walked in, there was no greeting or anything. I got the #2 with the dutch crunch, not enough bacon, and the bread was just not good and seemed pretty old. $17 for a medium-sized sandwich (definitely smaller than Jersey Mike's) and a small bag of chips. If you want good local sandwiches, go somewhere else. For the price, the portion and quality were just not worth it.
