Someone at my gym mentioned Cafe Frankie's , so being Italian restaurant aficionados, we decided to try it. Tucked in the rear corner of a strip center. It is basically a Pizzeria with Italian food. Started with Calamari Fritti, Calamari with hot & sweet cherry peppers served with marinara sauce, just ok. We had to ask for bread that comes with garlic oil twice. For mains , i tried the Zuppa Di Pesce,clams, mussels, calamari, and shrimp in a light tomato seafood sauce, served over linguine. The sauce was watery and tasteless. Not a good sign for an Italian restaurant . My wife chose the Eggplant Parmigiana, eggplant breaded, baked with tomato sauce, ricotta & mozzarella cheese, served with pasta. One of her favorite, she thought it was just fair. One in our party ordered thin spaghetti with olive oil and garlic and they brought our ziti instead. She sent it back and they brought a thin spaghetti without the olive oil and garlic so she ordered the ravioli. One and done. read more

I ordered food to go. Everything was very fresh. I ordered rice balls, small cheese pizza, chicken parm sub (the bread was especially good), and chicken Marsala, all 5/5! It was like teleporting to Staten Island and getting really great Italian food. I will be back! read more

I have been in the restaurant business for over 40 years . And have been going to Cafe Frankie's for over 2 years now. I have found that the food is excellent and always tasty . The owners are extremely friendly and very attentive. I noticed that someone from Arizona posted that the pictures they saw online (which don't exist ) show cooks handleing food with bare hands. My recommendation is to try the place yourself and see. read more

Great little neighborhood Italian restaurant!! Everything is cooked fresh to order. I have been here over a dozen time and every dish I have had has been delicious. Tried it yesterday-Had the eggplant tower and clams oreganata which are the appetizers- Eggplant parmigiana was the main dish- Everything was very good-The exception was the clams oreganata-They used baby clams they were so small you could barely tell what they were -For 18$ it was extremely disappointing. Ordered catering for Christmas Eve From them. The food was delicious & plentiful (Had enough left for another party) but sent everyone home with food. The server was super friendly and attentive. She told us the specials and gave her recommendations. The restaurant itself inside was just a fairly standard neighborhood eatery .Nothing fancy or remarkable about the ambiance. My husband and I shared the broccoli rabe and sausage egg rolls for an appetizer. They were hot and crispy . The taste was fairly good but it lacked the flavor and taste you'd expect based on the description on the menu. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and my husband ordered the pork chops with Calabrian chilis , broccoli rabe and potato strings . He enjoyed the flavors in the sauce and the pork chops were tender and cooked just right. My spaghetti and meatballs were sort of bland . The meatballs were softer than I expected and lacked seasoning . The sauce was just a basic sauce that you could find at just about any local pizza take out . Not fantastic but definitely not the worst meal I ever had . I'd say it was mediocre. We ordered carry out. We literally threw the pizza out. It's terrible. Garlic knots were very good but the marinara/pizza sauce is not flavorful at all. Be sure to check your bill! There was a 3% (misc. fee) added to our bill without notification prior to running the card and without explanation. I only noticed because I asked for a copy of the receipt. The last time I was here was over 4 years ago. I remember a festive atmosphere and a very creative menu, celebrating excellent homemade pasta and fresh ingredients. The new ownership (apparently taking over after Covid) doesn't have quite the same vibe, and we found the food preparation to be somewhat inconsistent. However, the menu was as expected for an Italian restaurant and a few of the dishes were very good. We've been coming here for years & have usually been quite happy. Tonight we ordered a takeout pizza. It was literally the worst pizza that I have ever had. Some of the best food I've ever had. I was visiting for a week and came here twice with my friends. Everyone loved whatever they ordered. I had the lasagna the first time and the shrimp scampi the second and both were delicious. My friends had eggplant Parmesan, pork chops, and gnocchi . Everyone loved everything they ordered. For appetizers, the calamari rocked everyone's boat as well as the salads. The desserts are off the charts especially the " Napoleon." which we're trying to rename. It is so much more than a Napoleon. It's a delicate puff pastry with fresh strawberries and blueberries, custard, and homemade whipped cream. The cappuccino also rocked. I'm not sure why this place doesn't have 5 stars. First, let me say that this is a place where the staff gives a shit about the product and quality of their food. When I say staff, everyone from the man making pizzas with precision distribution of ingredients to the bus boy that told me I could come in and sit down just before they opened after I had an exhausting day at the clinic. The work ethic of the staff here- and I mean the whole staff is to be cherished. First night I had a house salad, eggplant stack which was a special and the linguini carbonara, took a cannoli to go. So we've been here a few times now. Have had the plain cheese pizza pie, the grandma Sicilian, and the swordfish stuffed with lobster. All amazing!!! While dining outside on 2/19/2022, a couple arrived with a small dog. They were seated at a table across & behind us. Fifteen minutes later, they placed the dog on a chair next to them. I went inside to talk to one of the owners (I didn't get this name) who is a tall large man. I mentioned that according to PBC codes, dogs (any and all animals, including service animals) are not allowed to sit in customer chairs. His response was "I guess I'll have to check with my lawyer about that." Please, DON'T throw the "lawyer card" at anyone who is telling you the truth. "According to the dog-dining rules for restaurants in unincorporated parts of Palm Beach County, dogs must be leashed at all times and can't sit on tables or chairs.
