Hi. We went there last night. The day before they needed to close early to clean the kitchen - that should have been my first red flag. But we insisted so we tried again. The complimentary bread was burnt;second red flag. They cant toast bread. The calamari was listed as having scallopS, yet we got one cold plate of calamari with one scallop slightly larger than the size of one die. Given the size of the calamari and the squid and the die, when you fry them you end up tasting more oil and breading than meat. Yet, they charge more for the appetizer than the main dish. The spaghetti meatball plate needs to be rethought; save money on the excessive amount of sauce and give more meat so that people will come. The pancetta penne pasta was overcooked. They charge 12 bucks for a plate that serves scraps of pancetta. Overall the food had flavor but wouldn't recommend/return because yall need to rethink some stuff. The last delimma I had was the tip suggestions on the check. Yes, the waitress was out hustling but sometimes - and unfortunately- the expected tip is reflected by the food. Management has the audacity to suggest only 20%, 25%, and 30%. Something is up when the local panda express has lines of customers and the italian/Mediterranean (not sure how) place is empty. read more

I wanted to try a local restaurant that wasn't New Mexican cuisine so my girls and I decided on this unassuming Italian restaurant. The decor is nice and it is very clean, the food was good, too. The service wasn't the best considering it was just us and one other table, we seemed to be an afterthought. read more

My wife and I had dinner here on a Friday night. We shared a pasta dish and a caprese. The pasta came with bread and salad for two. The pasta, salad, and bread were delicious! My wife and I had a delightful meal here last night. We both ordered the salmon. Mine came over a soft and tasty polenta; my wife had hers over garlic mashed potatoes. Both came with fresh vegetables nicely done, beautifully al dente. This is their second week and they have it down right. The chef/owner has been cooking Italian for many years according to his wife co-owner. Bravo to the chef and brava to his wife. May this local gem thrive and become the go-to place for locals who want fine food with reasonable prices and no pretenses. read more

I was in Santa Fe and I really wanted Italian. My local friends say it's a desert for Italian food, but I looked around and found Cafe Grazie. It's very well hidden next to Domino's pizza in a shopping mall parking lot. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere pleasant. The waiters were very friendly but they seemed to be completely unfamiliar with the menu. All in all, recommended, especially given the lack of viable alternatives. read more

One of my new favorite places. Everything we had--two types of pasta and salads and dessert--was fantastic. The pasta tasted homemade and are accompanied by generous portions of delicious salad and bread. The sauces were perfectly balanced. The service was friendly and attentive. I was really surprised to have the shrimp-and-greens salad that was spiced in such a flavorful way. My little girl ordered a chicken pasta dish. I am used to dried-out, flavorless chicken in most places but this dish was very nicely flavorful and tender throughout. The tiramisu was delicious as well. She has begged me to return there every night since. With such good food at affordable pricing (prices that seem like we're in Albuquerque, not Santa Fe) I look forward to our next visit. read more

The meal was uneventful.. the noodles were not in-house made on the Cannellonis and tough, the sauce was not a classic marinara and some orange piquante version overall..clearly not the moist traditional version found in most pasta houses..Willing to give the ravioli a try next time.. but the lack of garlic in there air is quite suspect.... read more

My partner and I had dinner at Cafe Grazie last week. I couldn't let another week go by without writing a recommendation for this newer restaurant. It's tucked in a corner of a shopping center so I almost missed it; which would have been unfortunate. Cafe Grazie is truly a find. The Italian flavored are authentic. The service is great. The attitudes are inviting and family-like (especially if you have a great, loving family). The prices are reasonable. I look forward to returning. read more

We tried Cafe Grazie after several friends had told us how fantastic the food was - no one lied to us. My husband had the Pancetta con Penne and it had the most delicious combination of tastes without being too heavy on the creamy side. I had the Spicy Meatball Linguini and it was also delicious with just the right amount of sauce and spice. The service was attentive and friendly. We ran into friends as we were leaving who were also trying it out for the first time and I almost wanted to sit down and eat her Portabella Ravioli - she's lucky I was full... This Italian Restaurant is in a outdoor shopping area. Don't be fooled by the plain outside, inside the food is very good. For Santa Fe it was not over crowded and reservations not needed. The prices for food in Santa Fe at this place are lower, but if having wine for two you should just buy the bottle,cheaper. read more

I came I today with my family and was very pleased with the impeccable customer service. The co owner of the restaurant was our sever and was very friendly and attentive. The food was very delicious. A hidden gem. I hope it stays open, the location isn't ideal but the food is marvelous, probably the best moderately priced Italian fare I've had in Sabra Fe. The staff is always courteous and prompt. The bread they give before the meals are served is magical, I don't know what they do to it (something involving butter, im sure) but it has the crispiest exterior and softest interior. Extremely disappointing. I had the grilled chicken caesar salad with somewhat limp greens. My partner had the risotto di funghi and it looked like a weak soupy thrown-together bowl of rice. He was very disappointed as he cooks Italian dishes and risotto is not meant to be soupy. Besides that, it was bland. I would avoid this restaurant. read more

OMG To DIE for! So, I went to Cafe Grazie with my mom and Dad because I read the glowing reviews on Yelp. Boy, was I thrilled that the reviews were right on. Honestly there isn't a decent authentic Italian place in Santa Fe. My Dad wanted to go to Olive Garden and I sort of rolled my eyes as I think of Olive Garden like the McDonalds of the Italian world. Furthermore, as a small business owner myself, I like to support local businesses and not franchises. We went to Grazie right at lunch time and they seated us immediately. The ambiance is very simply decorated in a very homey setting. I liked the clean, classic white table clothes. You really are pleasantly suprised how simply eloquent this restaurant is in kind of a corportate box store location (same shopping center as Target, Albertsons, etc.). The waiter was very helpful and knowledgable about the menu. We started with an antipasto plate with fresh mozarella, capers, sundried tomatoes, olives, fresh warm bread and olive oil. When I was in Italy I loved that all the meals started with fresh bread and small plates to drizzle your olive oil. Put a little bit of vinegar, salt and pepper over your oil and HEAVEN. Grazie has this on every table so I was all ready happye. We ordered linguine and meatballs, shrimp with mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and pesto, and spinach salad with grilled chicken, sun dried tomatoes and warm goat cheese. All was DELICIOUS and fresh. I tell you I wish I had 2 more stomachs to finish my food. We were so enjoying our meal we ended it with lattes and a tiramasu. Man, this was the best meal I've have in a very long time. The waiter rocked and was very friendly and attentive. I'm so SOLD on this restaurant. Worried everyone will find out about it and it will be too hard to get in.. I'm risking that by writing here bedcause this restaurant deserves to be FULL all the time. This restaurant stands against any of the over-priced restaurants on the plaza. This is a small, out of the way place in the Zafarano shopping area across from Total Wine and near Target. The service is friendly and the menu is diverse and interesting. The wine list is limited, but at least the options are good ones. The pasta with veal sauce and seafood dishes are family favorites. The desserts are not house made, but still decent. Authentic Italian food! I had the stuffed chicken breast, EXCELLENT! The vegetables served with it were perfectly cooked and had a wonderful flavor. Husband had the spicy linguine and meatballs and our son had the non spicy version. Both were very good. Son and I had the cheesecake for desert and husband had the tiramisu. Both were decadent. Service was fabulous. Only drawback, my husband really wanted lasagne, and they didn't have it in the menu. We WILL be back to this quaint little restaurant in the Target shopping center. read more

Charming little spot we tried after two hours shopping at lowes. My husband tried the lasagna and I did the portabella ravioli. Both dishes were delicately seasoned and flavorful. The thin sliced,warm garlic bread was lovely. My wine Sanger Del toro even though Spanish went well with the Italian food. The beer selection was limited. A few craft beer additions would be a nice upgrade. Our server, Oscar, was welcoming and efficient. We will plan to return. read more
