    Smoked Salmon Benedict | 6/23/2024
    Samantha C.

I've been here quite a few times; once for brunch, but many other times just for cheesecake. For the brunch, I tried the smoked salmon benedict and it was great. The eggs were poached to perfection and even the rosemary potatoes were delicious (I'm not a potato person but I ate the entire plate). Now the real star, or stars, of this place: the cheesecake! ANY flavor! My family and I love ordering a couple slices of different flavor profiles and we honestly cannot choose a favorite. One thing about it though, their cheesecakes are always consistently a hit. I highly recommend coming here just to have a slice.

Intermezzo is known for their desserts, I've been many times and their coffee, late night wine and cocktails as well as their cheesecakes and desserts are phenomenal! Unfortunately, the dinner here was just not up to par. The salad was a large portion and the presentation was nice, however the food was very bland. Also, caution on the patio, we had to move inside for some unfortunate bugs outside so just be seated inside during summer. Definitely try out their desserts however! I enjoyed their almond cheesecake!

This is my fave chain to get dessert at if I'm in the area! My friend and I decided to pick out two slices to share and went with the tres leches and the fruit tart. The tres leches was delicious and loved how light it was and not overly sweet! It paired well with the whipped cream. I also enjoyed the cheesecake with berries and loved how the tart berries were a good contrast to the sweetness of the cake. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday night so my friend and I got our cakes to go so we could eat them outside where there were a good number of empty tables. There's also plenty of parking in the lot which makes it a nice spot to get dessert!

So I decided to go to this Cafe near where I hung out a lot. I took my son for a late late breakfast early early dinner. I had the Caesar salad with a filet of salmon on top. My son had the French toast with powder sugar and a side of bacon. Our server was Jamie. Lovely young lady very hospitable. I ordered my salmon medium and it came a little overcooked. The server was very kind to ask if I wanted another piece or to return it. I declined but the manager came over and automatically ordered me another piece and hand delivered it to my table. It was much better. It was warm and tasty.I love the Caesar salad dressing. She said they make it in house. My son loved the French toast. It was a lovely day and a lovely view to sit and people watch in the cafe.

Café Intermezzo remains a solid choice for a relaxed, unhurried café experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting -- perfect for a quiet conversation, light meal, or an afternoon pause with coffee. The food was good overall. The sandwich and sides were satisfying, and the tomato-based soup paired well with the bread -- comforting and straightforward, exactly what you expect from a European-style café. Coffee-wise, there's room for improvement. The Turkish coffee was a bit on the light side; I was hoping for a deeper, bolder intensity. The cappuccino was over-poured with milk, which muted the espresso flavor more than it should. Not bad, just not dialed in. Service was so-so -- polite but not particularly attentive -- though the laid-back setting makes it easy to overlook. All things considered, it was a nice, chill experience. A dependable spot with great ambiance and decent food, even if the coffee execution could be stronger.

Nice romantic ambience and good service but the food wasn't good at all. My friend ordered the salmon pasta and it was barely any sauce on it. The salmon itself was very mid. I ordered the crepe and I wasn't impressed at all. I ate the meat out of it and tossed the rest. I wouldn't recommend these two dishes.

My favorite location Cafe Intermezzo has always been this Dunwoody location. This is the first Cafe Intermezzo I visited many many years ago, and honestly it feels nostalgic now. From coffee dates with my best friend when I was in college to now our wedding anniversary brunch, Cafe Intermezzo holds a very special place in my heart. I always get the Oreo cheesecake and Cafe Giandujia (Nutella latte!!!). Both were delicious as they always are. Since we came for lunch, my husband got the egg white omelette and I got the smoked salmon Benedict. Both are HUGE portions, and we definitely shared. We were able to easily get a table very easily on a Sunday around 1 which was a very nice surprise as well. Can't wait to come back again soon

Artichoke Spinach Dip, Cabernet and an espresso martini

I haven't been to this location for food, but I plan on doing that soon! My date enjoyed the spinach dip, I was not a fan of it though. The bread was very crispy with it and the flavor was okay. I looooved my espresso martini, it had a lot of baileys and was pretty sweet, just the way I like it! The service was great, we were checked on every so often. The ambiance is perfect for a date night! The lights are dim, there's a light at the table, not too loud, just perfect. Will def be back.

This review is strictly for the cookies and cream cheesecake, which is an absolutely delicious dessert. After brunch at a nearby restaurant, I decided to treat myself to a to-go dessert. The ordering process was simple, and the staff were friendly. This menu option continues to be one of my favorite desserts! Over the years, it has never disappointed!

Cafe Intermezzo has s distinct vibe. Something European maybe, it feels a little classy and is a great place for nice dinner, drink, or dessert. The food is solid, with a lovely cake display for dessert, and there are some great, distinct coffee/cocoa options in addition to their alcoholic beverage menu. Service is good, maybe a little slow, but that seems like it could be by design where they're not rushing you. People definitely come to linger over drinks and dessert.

Went here sunday night with my friends and we had a great time, drinks were amazing as well as the cheesecakes. The server was nice and attentive and informed us on some of the menu items. Will be coming back!

Food was solid, hummus and French dip really good as well as the coffee. The lighting was strange and it was really warm in there so that hurt the experience but overall I'd try again

    Do they serve drinks?

Yes. They have a beautiful full bar.

Are there slower times where it might be more comfortable for me to come in and get some work done on my laptop? I'm not afraid of crowds (not really), but I don't want to hog up a whole table for a couple of hours, and don't like feeling rushed. Thx

    Is it dog friendly?

Cafe Intermezzo is dog friendly. Our four legged customers may sit in the section of the restaurant that is not covered by a ceiling. Of course, service animals are permitted anywhere in the restaurant.

Everything was good, as was the service and ambiance. This is a fun and neat concept - unique to Atlanta - located in the High Street mixed-use development in Dunwoody/Perimeter. Cuddlefish originally opened in the old Brush Sushi space in Decatur in November 2022. Cuddlefish moved and opened in Dunwoody in March 2025. (Brush moved and opened in Buckhead in August 2023.) Cuddlefish is from the same Michelin-starred, award-winning folks behind Brush, Lucky Star, Momonoki, etc. (Jason Liang, ChingYao Wang, John Chen). Cuddlefish is on OpenTable, so you can book reservations there and earn points. Free parking is available in one of High Street's garages. The best place to park is in the garage that's in the same building as Cuddlefish. Enter the garage via Cross St. After parking, there's a convenient walkway that leads out of the garage that's only a couple storefronts away from Cuddlefish. The restaurant has a nice corner spot at High Street. Outside, there's a spacious covered patio. Inside, the temaki bar, dining room, and bakery-cafe all share a modern, open space. The bakery-cafe is small. We had a party of five, including a baby. Here's what my wife and I had: RESTAURANT: Sake Creations * Matcha Saketini sake cocktail ($14) Other Drinks * Yuzu Lychee Mocktail (off-menu, on the house; thank you!) That was enough to fill us up for a meal. I probably could've had one or two more temaki. In general, every item was well-made and delicious. All of the temaki were great and all of the ingredients were fresh. The presentation was beautiful. My favorite temaki were the Toro Uni Ikura, Salmon Ikura, and Hokkaido Uni. My wife is pregnant, so they accommodated her with a free mocktail, cooking the salmon and excluding the ikura on her Salmon Tataki temaki. We appreciated that. Our table gobbled everything up. The Matcha Saketini was thick and heavy on the matcha. We did find it cumbersome to remove two strips of plastic for each temaki, but we understand why they do it (to keep the seaweed crisp). Sometimes, some of the ingredients would slide off with the plastic wrap, which was not ideal. I heard that if you sit at the bar, you don't have to deal with the plastic wrap (e.g., if you do a temaki tasting). The treats from the bakery-cafe were yummy. Service was excellent. All of the staff was polite and friendly. Thank you, Sian, Etta, and the Asian guy with glasses whose name I did not get. The name "Cuddlefish" is a play on cuttlefish, which is similar to a squid. Growing up, I ate dried cuttlefish from Thailand as a snack.

It's not the cheapest bag of beans but it's definitely freshly roasted and good quality! I love their seasonal bevs - I've tried their fall drinks like the Tokyo Drift (Applewood smoked cortado, orange blossom syrup, freshly grated nutmeg, orange peel) and the Spice is Right (Iced, spicy, creamy, coffee cocktail vibe with cold brew, hot honey syrup, vanilla bean and milk). You can easily sub out alternate milks, even on the seasonal specialty drinks. I appreciate the themes and play on the seasons. And also just simple but delicious drinks like the Nitro Lavender Vanilla Oat Latte. The seating can be a huge issue. I seem to always stumble in during peak, maybe? There seems to be plenty of space but no seating/tables. Many tables for 2 or 4 would be taken by 1-2 people studying/working all day, which is understandable but still frustrating. There is some outdoor seating (dog friendly, woohoo!) but is extremely vulnerable to the elements. Overall, I'm grateful for more local and noncommercial coffee shops in Dunwoody! Bring em on!!
