Came here with a group of co-workers this past weekend and we all had a wonderful experience. It is a small restaurant/pizzeria so I highly suggest making a reservation if you plan on coming here on a weekend. Small parking lot, but don't worry! They have a very nice Valet driver that is happy to assist you! The service was great, I loved how the owner came to the table to introduce himself and check to see if we were enjoying the food. For appetizers, our table decided to share two orders of Clams Casino and brick oven pizza and both orders were delish (especially the Pizza!) For an entree, I went with the scallops over spinach fettuccini in a white wine sauce. The portion size was perfect (not too big, not too small) and the scallops were large are fresh. We all also shared a few different desserts which were also a perfect end to a great meal. It is BYOB and good for groups which helps the cost. For 9 people, shared appetizers, one entree per person and a few desserts, the bill was about $300. I would highly recommend if you are in the area! read more

I'm actually sad to write this review. Cafe L'Amore is someplace I've frequented the past twenty years. I've always loved their food. Their wait service is usually kind and hard working. The owner Michael is a very different story. I contacted Michael last week Tuesday about doing a repast dinner after my Mothers wake on Friday 11/4. I set a menu with him, a price, told him approximately 25-30 people. I texted with him Wednesday and Thursday of that week. He told me no problem, anything you want. I looked no further. Come 11/4 at 8:30 I arrive with 30 people. There are NO tables. Nothing is set up, no reserved space, nothing. When I confronted him I got a BS story about people who stayed there since 4:00 PM and were just leaving. Nope! He took everyone he could for the $$ and just decided to bad he was making his money. We had nowhere to go, he made 30 grieving people wait for an hour. He never apologized, he gave us not a cent off the bill. My Mom died, no compassion or even decent business practice. It was a disgrace. Beware, he will promise the moon and give you whatever the hell he wants. I'll never go back. What a shame. read more

The menu has such a vast number of choices, that it made deciding on an entree a bit difficult, but I'd much rather have all the options that they offer than a bare bones menu. From the owner to the wait staff, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We experienced prompt service and the necessary attention. Many restaurants serve oversized portions, and we frequently leave with a doggy bag. Based upon our experience, we did not find this to be the case at Cafe L'Amore. Although the size of the entrees is adequate, ordering an appetizer is a good idea. Be careful not to fill up on their awesome bread before the meal though, because it's THAT good! Have been coming here for years and years. Food is consistently absolutely delicious. Don't be fooled by location in small strip mall. Exterior unassuming, interior cozy, clean, cloth tables and napkins. Service friendly and knowledgeable. Two important details, it is a BYOB, and there is no turnover in staff, wait staff have all been here for a very long time . this is a sign of management being fair and kind to workers. I have been going to Cafe L'Amore since it opened, and I love the owners, staff, and food. My daughter lives for the pizza! I usually opt for any fish/seafood specials. And the portions are very generous. The dining area is a little noisy, so not ideal for a romantic dinner - however, everyone else will be happy with the quality of the food and the happy atmosphere. We come here often for a nice Italian meal. Food is very good, bring your own wine which I love! Service is always excellent. Menu is a little more contemporary , you won't find spaghetti and meatballs or manicotti. They have valet parking almost every day because parking is a real bear. I mentioned that I did not ask for that I wanted 2 pies. In order to save the day he offered me a plain pie that was ready. I asked him to put whatever toppings he could. He gave me a Bolognese pie. I drove 40 minutes just to try this restaurant and it was 100% worth it! A friend of mine suggested we go and I am so glad we did because not only are the owners one of the nicest people I've met, the food was these best I've ever had! I chose cafe l'amore because it my dads favorite restaurant! My dad is 98 and they couldn't be more accommodating with him and his wheelchair we use to scuffle him about. The valet met us and helped me With the wheelchair and kept the spot open right in front of the restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonable. I kept saying why don't we come here more often! They greeting him respectfully and sat us most comfortably. I give this place a 5 star all the way around. Worthy of my patronage! read more

I was there with my wife and another couple, and all of us were pleased with the food and staff. Why only three stars?
