I can't give 3.5 stars, so I'll be generous with 4. I heard about this restaurant from 3 coworkers, thought I'd give it a try. Ordered the chicken shawarma pita sandwich. At first bite, I was overwhelmed by a strong flavor I couldn't initially place. After a few more, I realized it was turmeric and tahini. That's literally all I tasted (except the pita, more on that later). In addition, I only received 2 out of the 5 toppings listed on the menu. The sandwich included a side of amba, which I initially thought was pepperoncini. Unfortunately for me, the amba wasn't very flavorful, nor did it help balance out the turmeric. In my opinion, pepperoncini or pickled red onions would brighten up and balance the flavor profile a bit more. I warmed up to the flavors as I continued eating. However, all I could think of is how much better it would taste with toppings meant for the sandwich. There was maybe one teaspoon of chopped tomatoes/cucumbers on each pita half. The caramelized onions, hummus, and pickles were all missing. I can't say it's an awful sandwich; but I WILL say it lacked the toppings I was expecting and the overwhelming turmeric/tahini flavor with minimal toppings threw me off completely. After lunch, I double-checked the menu to see if perhaps I misread the description. Surprisingly, there's no mention of turmeric at all. Now onto the positives. The pita. THE PITA! Wow, it was outstanding. 11/10. Best I've ever had. Highly recommend. The sandwich itself is a generous size, large enough to share or split into lunch/dinner. Pickup was easy, order was ready on time, in and out of parking within the 15-minute grace period. I personally wouldn't order this dish again. However, you can't go wrong with their pita bread! I might swing by for pancakes someday... they look delish. I'm rooting for this business, as I know the location is a tough-sell and was happy to see many patrons enjoying lunch on the patio . Perhaps this restaurant is known for its turmeric flavor, so please forgive my ignorance if that's the case. T'wasn't my cup of tea. read more

We walked over from my friend's place and were met by the lovely blonde server, Tati who sat us on the patio and welcomed us warmly. Our server, Max was a delight. He was super knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the chicken thigh skewers, which were amazing. The salad that comes with it is also delicious and the pomegranates give it a perfect amount of crunch. The manager, Sary, also came over to greet us and tell us shout how the menu is really influenced my many countries in the Mediterranean, which you can tell from the diverse menu. We had GF and Vegan diners and we all really enjoyed it and felt that there were great options for us! The most notable thing though, was the stellar service. They are really doing it right!! We really enjoyed our brunch here! I absolutely loved the croissant sandwich I ordered--it was soft, fluffy, and surprisingly light without feeling greasy. My mom ordered the Famous Breakfast. It looked like their signature dish, and the portion was huge--definitely enough to share. Everything tasted fresh and light. My husband had the avocado toast and a roasted eggplant dish. The eggplant was slightly over-roasted with a hint of char, but everything else was delicious. The tea and desserts were both excellent and made a perfect ending to the meal. The service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and attentive to every detail, making us feel well taken care of throughout our visit. I ordered from this restaurant via Grubhub a number of times, but I've never been there myself because I hate the parking situation in Brentwood. We tried the Chicken salad, schnitzel challah sandwich (absolutely to die for! full of flavor!), French fries, kids' pizza, and the chicken shawarma pita sandwich. My kid really liked their schnitzel and fries! If you have a picky eater, try ordering them the schnitzel; it's crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, not spicy, and satisfying. The customer service is also great, cause once the Grubhub driver forgot the 'kids' pizza, and when I called the restaurant, they told me they handed it to him in a pizza tray, so he must have forgotten it in his car. Next time I order food from here, I really want to try the homemade bourekas, the shakshuka, and, of course, their hummus!! read more

Pretty solid spot for Mediterranean. Normally this gives off the hipster vibes that leaves the food as a big question mark but I think they hit the mark here. The salad I had was very flavorful and the salmon was cooked just right with a slight outer crisp and soft interior. The falafel plate was a nice surprise, with the pita having a nice chew. Overall would recommend and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. We waited more than 30 minutes to be seated, even though there were plenty of open tables, because they were taking their time cleaning them. Once we were finally seated, it took another 15 minutes for the waiter to come over. We ordered the breakfast and a burekas. The breakfast was nothing special, and the burekas was dry and did not taste fresh. After waiting another 20 minutes for the food, the manager came over right before it arrived to tell us they were out of the bread we had requested. When I mentioned how long everything had taken, he responded rudely, saying, "What do you expect? It's Sunday," as if the poor service was somehow our fault. Overall, it was not a good experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience on 6/21/2026 ( Father's day ) Was very disappointing. I made a reservation for eight people, including three children, for a family brunch at 9:45am As soon as we were seated, we felt rushed to place our order ( place order at 9:55am ) time show on receipt . Before we even had a chance to relax and enjoy our meal, the staff began rushing us to finish and leave the table. We were essentially told we needed to leave within about an hour because the restaurant was busy. While I understand restaurants have busy days, customers who make reservations should still be given enough time to enjoy their meal. Unfortunately, the food was also disappointing. Several dishes arrived cold, the presentation was underwhelming, and the Turkish coffee wasn't even served hot. By 11:06am we had paid our check and left Next day Monday 6/22/2026 I called to manager He acknowledged that we had been rushed and apologized for the experience. He offered to go back for one night to be his guest, but I told him we do not feel comfortable to go back Then he said he will give me credit back to my credit card. Until 7/13/2026 I did not get credit back to my card I called him After my call I received $25.00 credit back to my card I feel like he installed me with this He never honored his word to give full credit back to my card. Overall, the experience felt rushed from beginning to end. Between the poor service, cold food, being hurried out despite having a reservation, and the unfulfilled promise from management, our family left feeling disappointed and undervalued. We had a truly exceptional experience here this evening, so much so that I really felt compelled to leave a review, which I rarely do. The service, the food, everything was top notch, and we were so well taken care of!! And it was my birthday, so it was made really special :) everyone is so kind and helpful here, from the waiters to the hosts to the managers! And the food.. everything tonight was SOOOO good!! I highly highly recommend the halloumi fries and the Jerusalem salad! And the doughy dessert with the biscoff sauce is truly A MUST GET!!!! No really, you HAVE to get it!! The is 5 stars with a major asterisk. The food is a 10 out of 10. Love the variety on the menu, and so far, everything I've had is spectacular. So I'm giving it 5 stars just so the place continues to do well. HOWEVER: The service is abysmal. I want to emphasize that everyone is extremely nice. So it's not a personality/attitude thing. But they don't have themselves together right now. I've been a handful of times since they've opened, and I'm usually one out of like 4 or 5 tables in the whole place (with dozens of tables completely empty), and I see a huge staff. Literally a 1-to-1 staff to customer ratio. Yet, it can take 15 minutes just to get water or a waiter to take your order, because everyone is narrowly focused on their specific job (like wiping down a counter or setting new tables) rather than prioritizing what they should above all else: tending to the present customers expediently. So I say this with love, because I want them to get it together. The food deserves to be a Brentwood staple for years to come. But they'll be in trouble (and customers will miss out on a long term gem) if they can't improve the quality of service. read more

"WAGYU BEEF & LAMB KEBAB SKEWERS featuring a house blend of wagyu beef & lamb, served with grilled tomato, grilled onion, herb salad & tahini". IOW ground beef/meat skewers, koobideh. Nothing wrong with it but "wagyu beef and lamb", nobody could ever guess. Again, small. Half a small tomato. A tiny piece of grilled onion. A chopped salad with pomegranate and sunflower seeds. Tahini when I asked for it. Prices not high for San Vicente Blvd but you'll get better food and larger servings anywhere else. I don't get it.
