I placed an order for 2 dozen dipped strawberries for a bridal shower. They took my order and charged me for them. This afternoon, one week before the shower, I received a voicemail saying "we just wanna call and let you know for your order him for October 7 Saturday and I had ordered two dozen dip strawberries and unfortunately we cannot do that it was supposed to be a special order approved by the cake finishers and just especially around this time of year um we are weddings and special orders we get really busy and unfortunately we're not able to do the order for you and we will be refunding that back to the card please call us back if you have any questions or concerns thank you bye..." I called them and spoke to the Manager that was there, Louis. Needless to say, I was not happy. He said that the person that took my order was new and did not put that it was for a bridal shower. The double chocolate cake and the tres leches is Devine as well, can't go wrong. We just stopped in for the sweet treats today. Came here 2/11/24 to do some homework. Ordered a latte, the cashier hands me the latte and says "Here's your latte, looks like they made it wrong". I've been to cafe latte at least four times the first time I went with co-workers and the other three times I randomly stopped down. I live in Brooklyn Park and I will drive all the way from Brooklyn Park to cafe latte. That is how good the food is. The customer service is always top notch. The food is always delicious, the pizza crust on the pizza is phenomenal with good quality toppings, the salads are really good. But I can never leave without getting a piece of cake I love their Turtle cake. I've had their German sweet chocolate cake and their carrot cake. Cafe Latte is definitely a local favorite. It needs no introduction. It's located on the main street, which works in it's favor and against it. It's perfect for window shopping as well as being in a prime spot, but horrible for parking and the road is always congested with pedestrians and cars. You might have to park in the ramp around the corner. The restaurant is split into two and has a huge back area as well with the same desserts, which not a lot of people seem to know. There's more seating in the downstairs back area as well. The upstairs are reserved for groups of 3 or more for the most part. You don't have to bus your own tables from what we observed. The downstairs ordering is a little confusing because of the food and bakery lines, they seem to cross over. I've only had the desserts here, and everything I've tasted is heavenly. My mom who hates dessert is a huge fan on this place, so that should tell you something. The cake slices with toothpicks in them are sold at a discount- around $3 because they're end pieces or something. It didn't matter to us-they're huge portions and taste exactly like the other slices for 1/2 the price! WIN!! Parking: The parking situation is kind of sad-- either on the street or in the garage on Victoria Street. Cafe Latte is a Saint Paul staple. I have been dying to come back since I lived in CA. The variety of all of their food is amazing and the flavors of their cakes and cheesecakes. However, cafeteria style dining is hard when its extremely busy. My soup was delicious but it was cold by the time I paid and got back to my table. I had declined a paper receipt, and when the charge showed up on my credit card I was overcharged two dollars. There were two men who cut in front of multiple people in line to get their soups to go, and although thats all they were buying, it was unacceptable after we had stood in line for so long and waited our turn. So, if you peek in and its slow, its a no brainer, definitely check it out! Otherwise, meh. You can get great food and quicker service elsewhere. read more

After the event, apart from the beautiful venue and amazing vows, the most common compliment from our guests was how beautiful and delicious the cakes were.
