Free wireless. And by free, I mean, the cost is included in your bill. I almost laughed out loud when my total with tax for a glass of iced oo-long came to $6.50. It was one glass! No refills! And plenty of ice! Just to give you an idea of how ridiculous that is, $6.50 is the exact cost of two Sprinkles cupcakes, and a little more than a medium Pinkberry with three toppings. If I weren't a spoiled little turd I'd give this one star. I have to admit, though, the place is nice, with lush comfortable seating, elegant decor, and pleasant lighting. The free wireless is also a big plus. Also a plus is the presence of Sweet Lady Jane on the menu. And the $6.50 oo-long was tasty. If I were looking for a cute cafe to take some coffee and stay a while to catch up with a friend, Loft might be high on the list. It definitely isn't somewhere to drop in and check your email as I meant to do. If the only strike were price, this would be a four-star review. The combination of expense and hard-to-attract service, though, is not my favorite one-two. My server was perfectly nice, but I chose a corner to sit in with my laptop and he rarely checked on me. I had to flag him down with some vigor whenever I wanted anything. Great place to study.. Spacious, Nice and quiet and got free wifi. It can get pretty crowded at night though. There are reserved parking spots on the adjacent lot for the cafe which is pretty convenient. The dessert portions are on a larger side so you can definitely share. read more

Great to sit around and chat or try to get some work done, although if you're a light snob and need good lighting, this ain't the place to be. I work remotely, so I come to Loft Cafe at least once a week to work. It has quickly become my favorite place to work - it's the perfect cozy atmosphere with calming music. During the week days it's not too crowded, and the WiFi is strong. The staff are all SO nice, and they make the best waffle! The decor and ambiance at this cafe are really nice. The cafe itself is pretty small and cozy. There is an upper level and lower level. Parking is kind of confusing. There's a small lot on 6th street. It has the name of the cafe on certain parking spots and you can park there. The other lot right behind the cafe is parking that you have to pay for. There's also one hour meter parking nearby. Read the signs carefully. All the drinks and desserts are overpriced. I ordered the vanilla latte. It was about $6. I don't think I've ever spent that much on coffee. However, it was a pretty big cup of coffee. It's not the best coffee I've ever had. It was okay. I guess part of what you pay for is the ambiance. The green tea latte is my favorite (it tastes really good). A lot of reviews say its pricey, but this drink is totally worth it. My husband loves the sweet potato latte. They use real sweet potato in the drink. If you want a powdered mix or cheap syrup, then go to a cheap place. We like the shaved ice for dessert. Compared to other cafes in Ktown like Yellowhouse and Haus, this cafe is a lot quieter and the seating is definitely more comfortable! And the best part is that parking is free! The only downside is that their drinks and food is mediocre a little pricey so be prepared to spend a lot if you come here to chat with your friends. There are two floors of seating at Loft Cafe. If you're here for tea time with less than 4 people, the second floor is a good spot for you. If your party is larger than 4, I suggest sitting outdoors in their relaxing patio. If you're here to study (laptop camper), there are a few outlets available on the first floor near the windows. WIFI is free - you can find the passcodes on the last page of the menus (it is quite a long code). As most Yelpers have already mentioned, the ambiance is quite unique in comparison to other cafes. The first detail I noticed was the modern French-style feel in the cafe decor. The nontraditional furniture also stood out. Aside from these points, I found the environment to be cozy and the background music to be generally relaxing. During my visit, I ordered a hot sweet potato latte ($7+tax). The sweet potato latte consists of a latte sprinkled with almonds and bits of sweet potato. The sweet potato is blended into the drink with a small amount of sugar added, resulting in a lightly sweetened drink. I recommend getting the hot drink, it is very soothing on a cold day. Although I am a fan of this exceptional drink, I felt that it was way too expensive and unaffordable on a regular basis (it is overpriced by at least $2-3). I also noticed that a few desserts were offered at Loft Cafe, including various cakes from Susina, Cheesecake Factory, and Sweet Lady Jane. These are expensive as well, so expect at least $10-15/person for coffee/tea and desserts. Overall, my experience at Loft Cafe was positive and I recommend you to try their lattes. However, I don't make $100k yet so I cannot justify a second visit. read more

Me and my best friend went here on a Thursday night because we felt like just having a nice cup of coffee and dessert instead of dinner. I walked in and fell in love with the place. It was beautiful, the high ceiling, the lights, the upstairs, the patio and the cake display. I wanted the 7 layer chocolate (mocha?) cake but they didn't have any so I ordered the waffle with ice cream and a hot white chocolate mocha. The coffees came first. Mine was delicious. I usually don't like my coffee too sweet but it was the perfect amount of sweetness! I really enjoyed that. The waffle, however is the reason why my review is 3 stars and not 5. The flavor was awful. My friend's chocolate and strawberry cake was dry and not good at all either. Don't go here for dessert. I realized I really don't like the flavor of their dessert but I will go back for coffee and the ambiance. Looks: On the outside its a brown brick building. In the inside, its pretty dark; dark lighting, dark furniture, dark decor. Outside Patio: its a small cozy outdoor area. Ambiance: This cafe is usually more quiet than most Korean Coffee shops as it has been the number spot to come to do your HW and just study. You can say the ambiance feel romantic. The dark lighting and calm absence is probably the reason why it feels like a library. Parking: They have a free parking lot, but it gets full on weekends so look for street parking. The Loft Cafe is another one of those places we've been by so many times and hadn't gotten around to trying. Now we wish it hadn't taken us so long. To begin with our server had noticed we had parked in the lot behind their location and not in the actual Loft Cafe parking lot which you access from 6th Street and is located on the corner of Serrano and 6th. This saved us a fair amount of money and was a precursor of the good service to come. My wife had a Sweet Potato latte which was great (she really loved it!) and I had a very very good vanilla latte (nice sized too). I also ordered a piece of cheese cake for us to share which was excellent. The seating was very comfortable and the service great. In many ways Loft Cafe is the antithesis of all the other K-Town coffee houses. We had a great time and the bill came to less than $24. For this part of L.A. this is as good as it gets. This is my go to study spot! I love the calm ambiance and their hot green tea matcha latte ($5.95). Not the best spot for food. I also love their music! It's a combination of slow jazz/blues, classical and Sara bareilles-esque genres. Lighting is a bit dim so not the best place if you need to do a lot of reading but fine if you're planning on using your laptop. Good spot to grab some coffee, catch up on work/emails or just hang with your friends and family. Really nice ambiance, soft jazz/classical overhead. No techno / Kpop / EDM like some other spots in the area, and it doesn't get too loud! The decor reminds me of a French restaurant, very clean and nice high ceilings. There are a couple of large flat screens playing sports / other programs, but on mute, so not too distracting either. The staff here are incredibly nice! As I said he was a really nice guy, he pointed out that I had parked in the back lot, which is NOT for Loft customers, and told me to move my car to the free lot for Loft customers, which is on 6th. Probably saved me about $15! I also saw him help another customer set up his wifi, he really went out of his way to do everything for him too. Coffee drinks are tasty, I especially liked the iced coffee. I'll agree with another reviewer that its maybe a little pricey, but I've definitely paid way more for way less. And besides, their coffee is quality, so I won't complain. (Hey if you want Dunkin Donuts coffee, you know where to find it.) There are not a lot of food options compared to other spots, and you certainly can't get Korean food here, but I had a very nice turkey sandwich the other day. I didn't try their desserts yet, but they looked pretty tasty and everybody seemed to enjoy them. Oh yeah, free parking, outlets and wi-fi. That checks a lot of boxes for me!
