I noticed this cafe a long time ago but for some reason never went to it. Today I decided that it was time and invited a friend out for brunch. The atmosphere is so cozy and clean. Parking was easy to access. There is plenty of outside shaded dining. The menu is very decently priced for a brunch restaurant and the portion sizes. I ordered the French toast. It was quite an interesting culinary experience as the French toast had scrambled eggs in the middle. It was delicious and a better French toast than I am used to. The service was splendid. There were a few flies that were bothering us outside and the waitress supplied our table with a little fly fan to keep them away (we did not even ask, she just brought it to us)! I am definitely going to be returning soon. read more

This is the cutest breakfast place! It is very small but all the food is delicious. I love the small outdoor seating area. It has a nice neighborhood ambiance. The indoor seating area is small but wonderful. Well behaved dogs are also welcome in the outdoor seating area. They even gave our dog some treats. read more

Fantastic brunch. Lots of vegan options- tofu and vegan cheese too. Seemed like most of the menu could be made vegan. I got the breakfast burrito made vegan. Rest of the crew had a few of the Omni options and said it was the best food they have had on our visit to Albuquerque. The staff was friendly and hustling. Smaller building so be prepared to potentially wait, but food came out very fast. read more

Amy took great care of us, her friendly, bubbly, and energetic personality definitely made the experience. Our food and drinks were all delicious. We enjoyed a hot and iced Mocha, an espresso (served with a slice of lemon which was an interesting addition) and a Latte. The croissant sandwich was light and not too flaky. The turkey sausage was delicious and not too spicy, the fruit cup had grilled pineapple which was fantastic. Our group also had the Breakfast scramble with the Lush Bacon, the Breakfast plate which is a very basic/traditional two egg style Breakfast with hash browns. The hash browns were very well done and we'll seasoned. Highly recommend this establishment! read more

This is a little hidden gem. Small restaurant, with just a few tables but the food and the staff were so good we can't wait to go back. I was taking my niece out to lunch near her work and found Cafe Lush on YELP. I am so glad we found it. I have already called my niece to go back. Must try!! read more

Our sever had some skin condition which had severe scabs with pus uncovered. She put her bare fingers on the nozzle of the ketchup bottle and in our coffee cups. Gross. This is my second review as my first review was removed for offensive language read more

I've just have to write about this small cafe in downtown area, after having gone here for quite a few times with my kids, ever since they were 2 and 8 years old! They're both now 12 and 17. I just wanted to make point out, we had always ordered the breakfast items, ie. Lushaladas, eggs Benedict, just to name a few. They have always had phenomenal reviews regarding those breakfast items! But, little did I know, to my surprise, they also have pizzas! PIZZAS made to order! I was pleasantly surprised to see these pizza items on the lunch menu! The owner, Sandy, has told me those have always been staples on the menu. I was not aware of that! I guess I just didn't thoroughly looked at the entire menu! So, I'm doing it, i'm going to venture out of my comfort zone and order a pizza! There are 4 different types to choose from. I ordered the roasted pear with the balsamic glaze and arugula. Everything was fresh and delightful! Love the attention to details! I'm definitely recommending this eatery gem to everyone who's looking to eat in this area of town! read more

I've been going to Cafe Lush downtown on Tijeras and 7th for years and they never fail to disappoint. Their ingredients, menu options, red chile, and friendly hard-working staff keeps me coming back. From breakfast to lunch, I always love to change it up because there are so many delicious choices. I often go for an omelet, breakfast burrito, or breakfast tacos in the morning. Their Lush Bacon is consistently the best. And I don't know why I've never asked them, but I have always wondered what they do with their eggs to make them so unique-tasting. It's almost cinnamon-like (I am most likely completely off, but it's SOMETHING different and tasty for sure!). Please don't quote me on the cinnamon! For lunch, their sandwiches, wraps, and salads are bomb. The mango chicken salad with edamame and blueberry vinaigrette - *drool*! They have fantastic pizzas and burgers too. GF crust, as well. I don't have a gluten intolerance, but I sometimes get the organic GF pasta because I love that they put peas in it...and mmmm their vodka lemon cream sauce! Everything at Lush tastes fresh and there are so many healthy items to choose from - vegetarian and vegan options, too. If you haven't checked out this super cute cafe, you're missing out! read more

Cute and eccentric boutique diner off of the beaten path. Very colorful neighborhood with plenty of comfortable outside seating. We ended up here for brunch and the food was very good. It's located in a great little spot a little further away from the hustle and bustle. The restaurant is fairly small with seating outside. The server we had was very accommodating and friendly. Overall we would go back if there weren't so many amazing places to choose from in NM. read more

This is such a charming gem in downtown Albuquerque. I ordered "The Mo", which is essentially a vegan sandwich with tons of yummy grilled veggies. For my side, I had the slaw. Holy Molly everything was so darn good! They can accommodate gluten allergies which is a huge bonus. I can't wait for warmer weather so I can sit on the patio and enjoy a nice meal in the warmth. First time coming here. To start I walked in to get something small to eat and a coffee. No one addressed me, 3 ladies behind the counter 1-making coffee, 1- looking for something and the other putting butter on seemed like cinnamon bread NO GLOVES! She was gripping that bread like it owed her money. Then a plate came through the window, with fried egg hanging off. She peeled off the hanging part (no gloves) then delivered out. Pew!!!! One lady had sores all over her extremely swollen hands (no gloves) taking orders and preparing coffees. I must say, made me sick! I was already committed, so I just ordered a To-go coffee. Will I return? ABSOLUTELY not. Sorry little cafe, hygiene and customer service is a must! Good luck to you. read more

We have given Cafe Lush a chance twice now, and were once again disappointed by the food. Service was decent. The sodas were weird and from whole foods, which, to each their own. Their food is like the Netflix show "Nailed It", where they make it look good on the outside but the taste and food quality is what really matters. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito with hash browns, he said it wasn't bad. I got the gluten free french toast because I have celiac, and as Gordon Ramsay would probably say, it was hideous. Like I said, they were so concerned about it looking good on the outside, but when I took a bite, it instantly made me nauseous. Mushy middle with raisins and apple peels, in FRENCH TOAST? At that point, just make it normal! Bread, cinnamon, eggs! That is it! They asked me if I wanted anything else and I politely declined. There was no point. This has been twice we have tried this place, and twice we have not liked it. There are so many better options for the price! read more

I cannot tell you how excellent the service and quality of food is here. as a vegan they make sure all requirements and concerns are taken care of and they are all educated on how to properly cater to someone with dietary restrictions, anything on the menu they don't even have to THINK about it they can tell you exactly what is in it and if you can have it. the servers here will absolutely make you feel like you are eating at family's house and you will be hooked! guaranteed after your first time coming here. the amount of options I still have when I come here make me feel so excited to come here. I bring friends and family with me and every-time they are already asking when we are coming back. Just a clean, well-roasted cup that says someone here actually cares about the beans. The shop itself has a personality, which I always appreciate. It's decorated with fishing lures, fish artwork, and sculptures scattered around the place. Naturally this leads to the obvious conclusion: the owner is either an avid fisherman... or coffee roasting is just the side hustle between trout expeditions. Either way, the theme works. The space feels relaxed, creative, and comfortable. The kind of place where you can sit with a cup and not feel rushed out the door. And speaking of doors, while I was there there was a steady flow of customers coming in and out. That's usually the universal coffee signal for yep, this place is doing something right. Bottom line: Great coffee, cool atmosphere, and a shop with enough character to keep things interesting. I'll definitely be back for another cup of that Guatemala.

Very mild chocolate, I believe it is Dutch chocolate if my memory services me not to sweet which I appreciate. It was delightfully well balanced. The coffee itself is very smooth and not bitter, excellent taste! I will be back for sure to try other options there are lots of choices. I should have taken a picture of the menu. There is ample seating both inside and outside, had I not had my toddler with me I would have loved to sit out front but it is right by the road so a no go with a rambunctious little boy... There is additional outside seating to the side and farther from the road too. I look forward to my next trip.

She remembers regulars and does her best to have things ready for a quick pick up if you call in advance. She also graciously helped me find a gluten free item on the menu (the loaded baked potato) which hit the spot on this early fall morning.

We stopped by this amazing little location (jokes here) in a gorgeous historical home!! It is amazing to walk in and see the eclectic decor and art!! Even though I was at the wrong location the ow er was very kind and told me where to go. She was telling me about the location and how there are plenty of spaces to sit, enjoy a drink or food and have a hang! The service was quick and super friendly group! I had the BLT - amazing!! Did not expect the nice big thick pieces of sourdough but the best surprise was the green chile!! I may never have a BLT any other way! Absolute gem of a spot! Can't wait to head back!!

The place itself had nice art and was a good aesthetic and very big. Bad things: service meaning, they don't attend to you, you have to look for your own seating, took "45 minutes" to get the food although it took a hour and a half after being in a very long line to order. Also having to get back in that line if you need anything else or want to order more. Even when you are missing something on plate it took another few minutes to get I ordered avocado on the side and they forgot twice to get me that side, and when did it was a small portion that I had paid for and my food got cold. Silver ware was dirty, had to ask for plastic silverware. Also they ran out of some stuff by the time we were able to order. Me and my group of 6 people, were not really satisfied; and we aren't from Albuquerque so if you're a tourist I wouldn't recommend here unless you have a lot of time! & want actual good service.
