First time visiting this Cafe! I came here on a weekday afternoon. There was a minimal wait in line to order. Their drink prices are fair. I got a slice of cake for $8.25. It had hazelnut, chocolate, and vanilla! It wasn't too sweet, which is how I like it. The inside is spacious and there is seating available. I'll have to come back to try the coffee! The staff were very nice and knowledgeable.

Chocolate Toffee Crunch Strawberry Lemonade Cake
    Alexis M.

I've been coming to Cafe Madeleine for a while now and have tried a good variety of their cakes. Today, I got the chocolate toffee crunch and the strawberry lemonade cake, both were delicious, just like everything else I've had before. My absolute favorite is the matcha dome. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the cafe is super cute. Highly recommend for cakes, pastries, or whenever you're craving a sweet treat!

    Lemon bar

Was on the hunt for a lemon bar! Before I came I called to make sure they were in stock. The nice woman who answered said yes we have 4 left! When I arrived I got the second to last one. Good place & cute atmosphere. Lemon bars $3.50. Honest. I give the lemon bar a 4/10. It has 3 visible layers. First the crust, which is more bendy than crunchy, followed by the lemon curd which is separated into two layers. The lemon curd tastes pretty good, but it is pretty gelatinous / thick, so it separates quite a bit from the crust. Good vibes in this place and if I lived closer I would def give it another go.

Stumbled upon this cute cozy cafe recently. The mocha was yummmm and so reasonably priced!! The service was fast! Definitely returning to try other items on the menu.

This has been one of my favorite cafes since 2010. There used to be one near my work on California street. I used to get catering from them all the time and people loved the food. They had the best sandwiches (my favorite is the chicken + artichoke). They make the very best pastries. Too many favorites to list but they are all yummy. Lastly, my absolute fave is the chocolate ganache whipped cream for their hit chocolates. It is absolute perfection!

Full sheet "Favorite". Does this look like $400 to you?

Our company often uses Cafe Madeline for catering services, especially their cakes when we need desserts for events. We recently ordered a full-size sheet cake for a retirement party. The cake itself was delicious. Unfortunately, for $400 the decoration was VERY disappointing. The banner was poorly sized, not centered, and the cake writing didn't look professionally done. Taste great, but presentation fell far short of expectations. Would've been better without the banner and just a plain cake with tasteful large writing.

    Mango tart

Whenever I'm in the area for work conferences I do drop by here for their French pastries. I love the their tarts and had mango tart this time. Not too sweet and right creaminess texture with fresh mango top it.

Cafe Madeline offers a delightful lunch menu, Sandwiches and Salads along with a selection of delicious cakes. Our office favorite is the caramel dulce de leche cake, cherished for its rich flavor and perfect balance of sweetness. Update: they now accept Apple Pay.

This review is only for the cakes.. I have ordered them multiple times for our office and the cakes are wonderful and they do delivery! The cakes have just the right amount of sweetness.

Delicious burrata salad. Frittatas And quiches of all sorts. Try the Japanese curry pot pie it brings a side salad. Endless small pastries and deserts and cakes.

    Chocolate truffle toffee cake

Cute place with friendly staff. I tried the Matcha cruffin, Matcha dome and the chocolate toffee truffle cake. The matcha cruffin had a generous amount of matcha cream filling and the croissant was well baked with a flaky top. The matcha dome had a tiramisu texture which it tasted good but overall the dessert didnt really stand out. The chocolate toffee truffle cake was rich and had a nice toffee crunch to it. Looking forward to trying everything else on their menu

Turkey, Avocado and White Cheddar Sandwich | IG: @nomwithelaine

I decided to try another sandwich place since I'm still on the lookout for my favorite sandwich place! I went here on Tuesday for a late lunch at 2pm and there wasn't much of a wait. I ordered the Turkey Sandwich since I just wanted something quick and easy to eat. The Turkey Sandwich I got wasn't toasted, so I wish they toasted it for me since I feel like it would've tasted better. I did really like the bread roll it was in and how they put a lot of turkey in my sandwich though! I'd recommend this place! The sandwich was very tasty even though mine was cold and not toasted. This sandwich also has avocado which is something I don't find often in turkey sandwiches and they also have a small dining area.

Buratta salad. Pricey, but worth it.

I came by on a Friday around 11 am and it was so hard to find parking. There's street parking available but it was all filled up and I ended up getting dropped off since I saw the line forming outside the bakery. The line was only formed because the bakery is relatively small and doesn't have a lot of wiggle room so they only let in one party at a time. There aren't any sit-down tables or chairs so this is a grab and enjoy somewhere else. Pastry: Kouign-amann (8.4/10): Oh this was yummy. I love a good kouign amann and Arsicault satisfied my sweet tooth. It was a little too sweet but had a good outer layer crunch and fluffy interior. Chocolate Almond Croissant (7.8/10): This one was amazing! I will say that this one is definitely on the sweeter side but it was still delicious. It's a pretty big croissant with a good crunch but not a lot of flaking :( I did really enjoy the almond paste that was smothered on the inside. My boyfriend really enjoyed this croissant and wouldn't stop talking about it for a few hours.

We waited about an hour on a Friday morning. On to the baked goods, it was some of the best bakery goods I've tried ever. Everything was delicious in every way. My favorite had to be the coffee cake, the elote corn, and the Lorraine. Wow, so damn good. I know their menu changes, but it's a must try as their base dough for all their items are PERFECT. Each bite is amazing with such a crunch. Their corn latte was also super delicious.

The namesake Pistachio Cardamom croissant was excellent for a filled croissant. It had excellent layers and the cream was just enough to add a lusciousness to each bite that wasn't too heavy. The madame lorraine was my other favorite. It was meaty and rich with the soft baked runny yolk and the light touch of rosemary was just enough to accentuate the bite. The not as good...a standard butter croissant. Maybe we got a dud but there was a serious lack of layers in ours and it wasn't as crisp or as buttery as I like. The elote corn croquiche filling was also quite salty which was a shame because the pastry layer was pretty good. I still have two more pastries to try but given the weight and the mixed bag, I definitely expected a lot more from Butter & Crumble. Pro tip: get a butter croissant at Arsicault, walk to B Patisserie and get a kouign amann. You'll have both before the line moves here.
