A friend recommended Café Margaux so we decided to give it a try while vacationing in the area. Our first impression upon arrival was how gorgeous the outside of the establishment is. It's perfect for lunch or a date night, but we decided to sit inside because it was really hot. As soon as we entered we were greeted at the door and offered seats at the bar. We sat there and immediately clicked with Darius, the bartender. He offered us drinks and proceeded to share the specials of the day. We went with the tomato bisque and the sandwich of the day thinking it would be a nice quick meal, but we were not expecting these dishes to be beyond fantastic! - Tomato bisque: It came with a basket of some of the best bread we've had. It was the creamiest, most flavorful bisque ever! It came to our table really quickly and it was just what we needed - The sandwich of the day was roast beef with horseradish. It came with mashed potatoes and broccoli slaw. We were glad that we shared this because the portion was very big, but OMG it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and plated, and so much flavor! We had a few more cocktails and enjoyed the amazing service Darius and the rest of the staff provided. This place was affordable (hello, $5 beer!), beautiful and it had some of the best food we've had in Florida. Simply fantastic! read more

Hands down our favorite restaurant in Brevard. We have been several times. We have eaten inside and outside and even ordered take out during CoVID. It's also a great place to have dinner before the show at the theater. Upscale restaurant with while table clothes, candles, and phenomenal service. The steak and crème brûlée are my favorites but we have had so many of the other dishes as well. Try them all, you won't be disappointed. read more

The restaurant is gorgeous, each room a different color and decorated so well! Service was great! The servers were so attentive and sweet and on point. Had the $45 special and everything was delicious, meatballs were juicy and the sesame aioli was so good, crab cakes, nice fresh salad, tenderloin tips, chicken with gnocchi - portions were super generous, everything seasoned well, everything cooked fantastic. Desserts were good, a slice of pecan pie and a slice of raspberry passionfruit sponge. The pecan was an ordinary slice of pecan, the sponge was more dense than expected. Plating for dessert was underwhelming after such a beautiful meal. The taste was good but was more basic than expected with a big smear of icing and Christmas colored sprinkles to accompany them. Overall fantastic experience, just get the pastry chef a little more creative and refined. read more

Wow! What a disappointment. I have been here so many times with my husband for anniversary dinners and today was the worst service I have ever experienced. I took my mom for lunch for her first time and we were checked zero times. I ended up taking my salad home. I felt like a peasant sitting in a corner. Thank goodness they gave me cash from my gift card so I don't have to return. I'm not sure if this is customary for lunch time or expected during lunch hours but I'm completely shocked and will end sending my business there. read more

Best filet mignon I've ever had in my life. The sauce that comes with it is out of this world. My dad got the pork chop and ate the whole thing. This is one of my favorite lunch spots (especially on the patio). Lunch here is elegant but reasonable so one or two lunches here is doable. I love to bring friends here for the first time. The crepes are amazing. Tomato Basil soup is one of my favorites and salads are tasty. I love chicken salad but as it has curry and coconut in it it's not on my menu. The flavored teas are wonderful Dinner is more expensive but I've never gone wrong with the lamb chops. Service is always prompt, friendly and helpful. Our absolutely favorite restaurant in all of Cocoa Beach for fine dining. We prefer to come here for lunch because we're too old now to eat dinner and sleep. Is beautifully located on a quiet courtyard underneath a huge tree next to a bubbling fountain. They have an excellent wine list so my husband can always find something decadent. Love this place. My wife and I try to eat here every time we are in Cocoa Beach. First off, for an appetizer we had never tried, the Kobe meatballs were awesome. The escargot is so good as well! I recommend the Pistachio crusted goat cheese salad too, but it's really big, so I suggest sharing. As for cocktails, "Try the Rye" was great. The "Ricky Bobby" ( I'm not sure why this was named after Will Ferrell's "Talladega Nights" character- doesn't seem like a fit for this restaurant) was good, I guess, IF you like a strong lemonade taste. We don't. Both the Duck and the fillet we had were delicious! I've had the Seafood Melange here in the past, and I highly recommend it as well! read more

I always look forward to dining at Cafe Margaux and was looking forward to a nice lunch with a friend who had never been there. We were seated at a nice table by a window which seemed great until we realized how close we were to another table which made it difficult to carry on our own conversations. We then waited a long time for menus, water etc and had to ask for these items. Finally, when we ordered our entree and salad all food came at once. We asked to have the entree returned to the kitchen. When the table was cleared of salad items the server responded rather rudely to a comment, when an explanation would have been the appropriate reply. All in all the service was slow, sloppy and not up to my experience of past visits. I find it hard to write negative reviews but this was not a good visit and my hope is that the dining room manager will improve training of the waitstaff. read more

The ambiance was very nice. The staff were also very nice. The food was mediocre to subpar. I ordered the local 16ounce ribeye. It came with asparagus and greek potatoes. The potatoes were bland, flavorless and were missing something. I had to ask for salt to give them some Sort of of flavor. There was no sort of gravy for them. The steak was tough and difficult to cut. It too was flavorless. It did come with parsley butter but this only helped marginally. My wife and i had 4 drinks, 3 of which were white Cosmo or something like that. Drinks were very small and $12 each. Beer was the the cheapest option although draft was not available. We ordered the baked Brie cheese. It seemed like there was more cheese than little bread rounds that were provided. The cheese was ok, but nothing extraordinary. The salad i received which was a house salad had a blue cheese, vinaigrette flavor and was excellent. The favor was fanciful. With tip and check, it was right around $200. This was not good value for money and i do not recommend. Sadly, a trip to Longhorn, outback or Texas Roadhouse would have been much better value for those prices. Only reason it got two stars was because of the salad, friendly staff and ambiance. Food was awful. read more

The service is a team effort. Everyone is available, "just in case." The food is beyond expectations. I had the fish special! A taste of 3 differently prepared wonders of the sea. My husband had a rack of lamb. It was prepared perfectly! We shared a dark chocolate burgandy cake for dessert. Wow! Perfect for us "choc-a-holics." We had drinks at the small bar. Needless to say my husband finished his meal before my replacement was served. Just took it home. He had escargot asked him what he thought "I've had lot better". The service as great as always. Ambiance could have been improved today, a light bulb over our table was occasionally flickering. The food left us disappointed tonight. I ordered the crispy duckling, it was way over cooked. Potatoes and carrots were great. My spouse ordered the center cut fillet with asparagus as a sub for potatoes. The fillet had gristle in the center. She wasn't a fan of the brown sauce on the same plate as béarnaise sauce. Also no asparagus. The did not charge us for the substitution which was fair.
