OMG. you GUYS. THIS is the place to be. Street parking, cute seating inside and outside, perfect for people watching and catching up with friends. Melanie (I hope thats how you spell it) was SO kind to us. She was incredible. Brought us waters with our coffee and brought our drinks out to us. Absolutely blown away by the service. The drinks and food were incredible. Everything was so perfect. I had to get a shirt to support even more. Do yourselves a favor and come here ASAP.

Service was amazing! The sweet lady at the register was incredibly kind and took the time to walk me through the menu. I never felt rushed instead, she was patient while I decided what to order, which made the experience even better. coffee? Absolutely delicious. There was something about the cold foam that made it stand out, it was so creamy and flavorful. If you're in the area, don't skip this place. You have to try it!

I stopped by this café on a weekday to meet a friend for coffee, and it was such a lovely experience. There isn't a parking lot, but we were able to find street parking nearby. Just be careful not to block any driveways in the neighborhood. The café itself is cute, cozy, colorful, and welcoming. It's a small neighborhood spot with a few tables outside, along with table and bar seating inside. It's the perfect place for a quick caffeine boost or to catch up with a friend. They offer a variety of drinks, pastries, pan dulce, and croissants. I ordered the iced matcha latte with strawberry foam and a brioche croissant, while my friend got the iced Sacred Vanilla Latte. My matcha was delicious--well balanced and not overly sweet, with the strawberry foam complementing it nicely. The brioche croissant was buttery, slightly sweet, and very flavorful. I also loved the pan dulce; it was soft, fluffy, fresh, and tasted amazing. What really stood out was the kindness of the staff. We were there close to closing time, and they generously gave us extra pastries to take home. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the experience even more memorable. I would definitely recommend this café and look forward to coming back to try more of their drinks and pastries!

Was in the area for fiesta Hermosa and decided to visit café Minerva because I had seen on Instagram that they were open. The mural outside is so welcoming, we felt the positive vibes before we even entered. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the barista. We had some questions about the menu and she was so lovely answering all of our questions. I ended up having the Minerva iced. They also have the option of getting it hot. I loved the mixture of the café de Olla with espresso. It hit the spot. The place is a little small, but they have a really nice area out front. It lets you enjoy your coffee with some friends while enjoying the fresh ocean air.

So happy to have this place in Hermosa Beach. We stopped in on the Fourth of July. It was busy, but the line moved quickly and everyone was genuinely friendly. You can tell it's a family-owned business, and that comes through in the way they treat their customers. I had the Iced La Minerva, and it was outstanding. The spices really make it - smooth, unique, and delicious. We also picked up a few conchas to take home, and they were excellent. A great addition to Hermosa Beach. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars

Incredibly warm and kind customer service, delicious chorizo breakfast burrito, the Minerva Lattes were delicious and smooth (my husband had it hot, I had it iced). Conchas were fresh and not dry and crumbly. Really cute place, cool mural with Mexican talavera styling outside and cute merch and stickers, too! Will come back again.

Cafe Minerva is a small cafe nestled on the familiar street of Aviation, and I think it's my new favorite in HB! I tried their La Minerva iced latte which is sooo yummy, it has a cinnamon aftertaste which blends in really nicely with the coffee. Additionally, the employees are very kind! Show them some love and go give them a try

Stopped by Café Minerva during their grand opening, and it was such a fun experience! The live mariachi music created a festive atmosphere, and the café itself is absolutely adorable. The owners, Luisa and her husband, were incredibly welcoming and made everyone feel right at home. Their hospitality really stands out. The burritos are absolutely delicious; fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth coming back for! Seating is limited both inside and outside, but don't let that stop you. It's the perfect place to grab your order to go or take it down to the beach and enjoy your meal with an ocean view. If you're in Hermosa Beach and looking for a charming local spot with amazing food and genuinely friendly owners, I highly recommend Café Minerva. Wishing them much success!

I am thrilled this establishment opened! I am a fan of they have incorporated the culture with the Hermosa Beach vibe and aesthetic. The colors and ambience are inviting. The owner Herman has created a welcoming environment but his baristas and staff are all just as welcoming - that makes a huge difference. It is what sets a commercial coffee shop apart from a neighborhood coffee shop. They have Mexican sweet bread and breakfast burritos too. I ordered the cold brew black (cafe Minerva) and truly enjoyed every sip. It's so earthy and easy on the palate, balanced, smooth. The prices are so reasonable as well. I enjoyed the burrito and look forward to them expanding their menu and hours (I hope a salsa comes with the burrito soon, like a creamy chipotle or something, yum!) If you're in the mood for a cozy, neighborhood coffee shop with chill Hermosa Beach vibes, this is your spot. Come check them out! I definitely will be back.

Amazing addition to the neighborhood. Their doors are finally open and we couldn't be more excited. We are obsessed with our go-to order (cafe de olla) and conchas. We look forward to picking up burritos with our coffee on the weekends. Today I tried their warrior cold brew with cold foam and it may be my new favorite! I can't wait to try their matcha too. My wife and I have already put ourselves on a budget, otherwise we would be here once or twice a day. And to top it all off, the couple who owns it could not be more welcoming and friendly towards everyone who walks through the door, excited to share their coffee and food and culture. You can feel the love when you walk in. Hermosa is so lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood.

So excited to see another coffee shop open in the South Bay! Cafe Minerva had the best customer service, everyone greeted me and said hello. There was a long line but they got it down fast. The La Minerva iced coffee was amazing and will be coming back :)

new hermosa beach cafe with Mexican inspired drinks! service is the most notable quality- staff are all very kind and helpful. got the minerva latte (most popular) and it was good. Nice to see different flavor variety, although its nothing special price/quality wise compared to other LA coffee shops

Feeling so grateful (and spoiled!) to have Cafe Minerva around the corner. I became hooked back at their pop ups and got to try cafe de olla for the first time. Now they are fully open and we've put ourselves on a budget so we don't end up here 20 times a week! Staff is delightful and the drinks are so inventive. I keep finding new favorites and my kids love the conchas. This place is pure positive energy.

While I've been here a few times this is my first formal review. I came with my family one Sunday evening on a hot July day, bypassing several chains on the way, including the new(er) Salt and Straw across the street. The inside is packed to the brim with sweets, small toys, and people, much like a candy shop of old. After reaching the front of the winding line our family shared a Banana Split ($13) - three scoops of ice cream, a split banana, hot fudge, a single dry topping (we chose coconut), whipped cream, and a trio of cherries - about as classic as it comes. The ice cream was good but not exceptional. The chocolate and strawberry were fairly generic, but I liked the third scoop of banana foster ice cream which had a nice banana kick. I doubt this ice cream is home made. The complements and construction to the sundae were great, however, and the flavors came together well. As I would hope for a location like this, the staff are local youths who served with patience and passion. In cases throughout the store are several of their other specialties - ice cream cookie sandwiches, dipped frozen bananas, and more - inviting repeat visits. Prices are elevated but not crazy for such a trendy area, although I would say with the middling quality of the ice cream a couple dollars less would be fine. Overall, Manhattan Beach Creamery is a local landmark worth at least a single visit for anyone in the area. If you can get past the generic, if a little boring, ice cream flavor and rampant commodification of the interior, you'll find a classic ice cream parlor with great service and history. Is it worth a repeat visit? I leave that to you. Food: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 4/5

As you dig into the fluffy shaved ice, you're rewarded with surprise chunks of chewy mochi hidden throughout, and I believe there were even more red beans waiting at the bottom. Unfortunately, my visit on July 25 was a completely different experience. The black sesame bingsu had a strong pepper-like taste, making it unpleasant to eat. On top of that, the taiyaki we ordered didn't arrive until about 30 minutes later, so we no longer had time to enjoy it at the restaurant and had to take it to-go. When we politely brought up the taste of the bingsu with an employee (a young man with glasses and shoulder-length hair), he became defensive, spoke to us rudely, and walked away in the middle of the conversation before we could finish explaining the issue. At that point, we weren't even complaining about the delayed taiyaki. We simply wanted to let them know something seemed wrong with the dessert. We did eventually receive an apology for the delayed taiyaki, but only after we asked about the reason for the delay. The employee explained that he had mixed up our order with another table. I've supported Okrumong for years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Everyone makes mistakes, and a delayed order or a food quality issue can happen. What really stood out was how the situation was handled. I hope the management takes customer service more seriously, because this visit was far below the standard I've come to expect from Okrumong.
