This place is very special. The owner is very kind, caring, and takes the time to meet people who come in, and say hello to others who are passing by on the sidewalk. The staff is friendly. The ambience is top notch, great local art, lovely music, and the unique je ne sais quoi vibes of a French cafe. Also the food was delicious, and I'm quite content with my coffee. Take the time to sit on the sunny patio and enjoy views of the Historic McLellan Gate entrance to City Park (which was originally at 18th avenue but moved north three blocks in 1957), or inside the quaint but cozy and inviting cafe. I bought a house down the street in large part because this adorable little cafe was a half block away, and that decision has continued to pay off for 4 years now. Those of us who live nearby consider Cafe Miriam to be an integral part of our lives, from the warm hospitality offered by owner and staff, to the inviting outdoor patio, to the delicious food and coffee. I'm there multiple times a week, ready for my breakfast sandwich and Carmel macchiato, and the staff knows my order and repeats it back to me each time as I approach the counter. read more

I got Mediterranean sandwich which was great, good proportions and I thought I would need more but it was great. We waited a lil longer than normal but the food was exceptional. We had lovely latte, tea, and chocolate croissants here this morning. A perfect stop after a walk in City Park. Can't believe this was our first time here, we'll definitely be back. They have a nice selection of savory and sweet crepes, as well as some brunchy sandwiches. The person next to us on the patio had an awesome looking croissant sandwich with scrambled eggs and avocado and a side of potatoes, looked so good and she confirmed it tasted as good as it looked! No lovelier stop before or after walking in City Park. The food is delicious and this is a true neighborhood spot with lines out the door (they move fast), crowds of kids and dogs outside, and the owner working alongside his staff unless he's deep in conversation with a neighbor. read more

WOW! This cafe was an absolute treat to visit! The food is delicious, organic, and filling! We thoroughly enjoyed the Avocado Benedict's w/ a bowl of fresh fruit. And, they accidentally added an expresso shot to our drink that we didn't care for so they fixed the drink for us and gave us a couple free macaroons to make up for it! Stopped for something different for a quick Sunday breakfast. The place is very small, and parking can be a little difficult to find if you're driving there. The food was good, my only "complaint" is the potatoes were a little undercooked for my taste but I'm picky about that. The sauce was spicy but not so much that it took away from anything and was amazing. We had the croissant sandwiches- the Jordan and the egg sandwich The eggs were cooked just right, everything else was amazing. Avocados were fresh and just firm enough to not be a paste but soft enough that you don't need to saw through them. The service was quick and friendly, and it seemed like they all work well with each other. We are definitely going back, but next time I think we'll Uber there and ask for we'll done potatoes. read more

A delightful cozy eatery in City Park. The prices are a bit steep but in line for the neighborhood and the quality of the food and coffee is highly satisfactory. This is a small neighborhood spot with seating for only 15 inside and 12 outside, so this isnt the place to have brunch with the whole gang but rather for parties of four or less to nosh on tasty crepes and breakfast sandwiches while admiring some quaint and vibrant local art on the walls. The owners are charming and welcoming, and the staff are courteous and conversational. Touhami is hands down the most genuine and wonderfully welcoming business proprietor I have met in Denver. He commented to me 'I want everyone to feel welcome here and that we will listen and care. That people can have a bad day and be grumpy and come to my business, and we turn that around for them.' This kind of wholesome genuineness and customer love is really quite remarkable. In a city where impersonal indifference and fairly mediocre food hawked at a premium in large boisterous spaces are becoming the norm, Café Miriam politely raises its middle finger to this trend with a succulent salmon/avocado/cucumber/dill fraiche crepe in one hand, a cup of rich dark roast coffee in the other and the hook of great food/coffee in an intimate space with big hearted owners to reel you back again and again.
