Have eaten here a couple times on our way down from DH after a long ride. The food is okay, we usually get blueberry pancakes and blueberry French toast. The price is steep in my opinion for the portion. $20-22 each plate. This is a cute open air cafe. They do have a small parking lot and street parking. We came on a Sunday morning and there was plenty of seating. All the windows were open but it wasn't hot inside. The staff was very friendly and greeted us. We ordered the Lilikoi Pancakes and the Smoked Salmon and Avocado Benedict. Both were good. One thing to note is that there was so much lilikoi cream, fresh pineapple and whipped cream that it made the pancake cold. It was still yummy but just be warned. The Benedict had great flavors and the eggs were poached perfectly. My only wish is that there would have been something extra like thinly sliced onions or capers to kind of give it a crunchy texture because the eggs, salmon and avocado were all soft and soaked into the bread. read more

This is the spot my friends and I like to meet up on the weekend with our kids. The kitchen writes the kids' names in chocolate syrup on their plate next to their turtle-shaped pancake. I get my son the Maki special and kids honu pancake. It fills him up until dinner which is nice because we're usually nonstop activity after activity on Saturday's. Service is great. The restaurant is brightly colored. Don't leave without ordering some sort of fried rice. We enjoy all their meat selections but the sweet and sour chicken is the most popular. This place has a private parking lot, nice calming atmosphere, and provides great customer service. We stayed for a long time after finished eating but they never rushed us out. I had the Grilled Bacon Egg Benedict, which came with salad and French fries. The French fries for the breakfast really threw me off. The salad dressing had a little tangy taste and it was very good. The Egg Benedict was on the baguette and had cream of corn type of source over it. It tasted good but the baguette was too hard for this dish and the source made it a bit bland taste. I remember the days when the competition across the street used to be more popular and there would be a line to squeeze into their crowded space. Now Morey's is the place where you must sign in and wait for a table to upen up during peak hours, but the tables are nicely spaced out so you don't have to hear your neighbors' conversation. Japanese owned, they pay attention to detail- cute dishes, presentation, decor, swag if you want souvenir gifts. Service is friendly even though they are busy. Food is a blend of American and local but served by Japanese so it feels like it's healthier and not as heavy as some other breakfast places. I love that the scrambled eggs come with a little green salad and that you can choose brown rice as an option. The menu said it would also come with fries but we had yogurt and granola instead? Anyway there is something for everyone both healthy and unhealthy. Their signature fried rice which I had last time is bomb but I followed the lead of my friend who is a regular here. I'm glad he suggested we share the Italian scramble md eggs followed by the strawberry banana French toast so we could get savory followed by sweet for dessert . Everything was delicious! Eggs were not too dense and fluffy enough. French toast was nicely balanced with beautifully presented with sliced strawberries and a caramelized banana. They have quite an impressive selection of drinks besides coffees, teas, and juices, including both alcoholic and virgin cocktails. Absolutely amazing!! We originally had plans to go to another restaurant for brunch nearby but could not find any parking for that place. While driving around we found Cafe Morey's that looked super cute with open windows and fun colorful vibes so we decided to give it a shot. It was pretty busy for a weekday morning but service was good. The coconut cream and macadamia nut pancakes were to die for! My brother-in-law wanted to try this place out as he missed his friends birthday brunch that was celebrated before he got into town. As we slowly approached the restaurant while looking for it, our first impression was "cute"! We loved that all their windows were open and you could see inside. We arrived at about 11 am and was able to grab the last parking stall in their parking lot that consists of 6 spots. So going on a weekday was a perfect plan. The restaurant has two entrances, one in the back coming from the parking lot and the other street front. It's a large spacious restaurant and wasn't busy so we were seated right away. I'm not big collector of things but I do love tea pots and tea sets. So seeing water served in these cute and spring colored drinking cups and water pitcher had me sold and won me over real quick. I just knew this was going to be a great experience. Since this was our first visit and American-style breakfast, it took us sometime to figure out what we were going to order. But everything sounded really good. We all got something different. Staff members answered our questions and was super patient with us. Everything is reasonably my prices. Meal portions are a good size for one person, it wasn't too much nor too little. Everything was really good and healthy. When we left, we felt content and not overly stuffed. Lastly, they have a cute bathroom, also painted in the same pastel colors as the drinking cups. Wow! The food here was so good! Small parking lot, 4 stalls?, on the side and some street parking if you are lucky. The place was very clean and had nice open windows for a great open ambiance perfect for Hawaii. The service wasn't great. The waitress, a young lady, didn't seem to care about much. She sat us, took our order and brought our food. Never checked on us and I had to find her to get a to-go box and to pay the bill. It probably didn't help that she was the only that seemed to be working the floor that morning. Another lady came and brought the food but that was it. Doing it for the Gram...that's why we came here for brunch. Mink saw the cute Honu pancakes they serve here and told me we're going to Cafe Morey's. They are close by and offer open air dining which we thought was nice. A lot of birds flew in and out of the restaurant though. Aside from that, the fresh air was enjoyable. There is a good amount of pastel colored tables to dine on. When you enter, you'll see a sign that says wait to be seated. They greet you and seat you relatively quickly. Water and menus are provided right away. Customer service was great and everyone was nice. It didn't take us long to decide since Mink knew what she was going to order. Mink obviously ordered their Honu Fruits Pancake (regular size) and a Classic Lemonade. There is a kids portion size of the Honu Fruits Pancake for only $10 if you want to order it just for the photo. We should have done that since the regular size was too much for Mink to eat. I ordered their Smoked Salmon & Avo Egg Benedict with a Morey's Blend coffee. It had unlimited refills so it was perfect. Too bad they don't have the Kama'aina special where you get a free coffee with any entree order before 9am. We both thought the food was prepared quickly by the kitchen and came out in a timely manner. The tables next to us waited for awhile for their orders so we came at a good time. They even reached over to take a photo of the Honu Fruits Pancake (without asking smh). Only critiques I have is the salad on my plate wasn't the freshest and we thought the pancakes were on the pricey side. As mentioned in other reviews, there is ample residential street parking when their private lot is full. They had traditional Hawaiian breakfast. I had the mushroom and spinach omelette with mini pancake (looked regular size to me!) so don't be fooled by the name. The plate can be shared as the portions are generous. My partner had the same omelette but with the French toast as a side and it was a great choice! Not your traditional toast but it's worth a try! When we asked the lady for a status of our order around 30 min of waiting, the cashier/hostess seemed confused as to what we were asking and it's like we had to start the process all over again to explain what we were waiting for. Nevertheless, we ordered and received Morey's Signature Fried Rice with Scrambled Egg and Sweet & Sour Garlic Shoyu Fried Chicken along with the Mixed Fruits Baguette French Toast. The fried rice was very buttery and not so Hawaiian local style like you may be accustomed to. As for the sweet and sour garlic shoyu chicken, the flavors were there. Though the more you ate, the less flavor you could taste, is how I can best describe it. The outside chicken skin is not so much fried and crispy, but more like orange chicken style where it's covered in sauce and seasonings. As for the Mixed Fruits Baguette French Toast, that comes with fresh strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, pineapple, papaya and bananas. We had take out, so by the time we got home, the bread was on the mushy side, but I'm sure it's fabulous when you eat it fresh in-house. We were wondering what the difference between the regular and vegan versions of the fried rice were and assumed it was meat/egg in the fried rice. After tasting it, however, we're fairly certain it is BUTTER (we should've asked!). There is a LOT of butter in the fried rice and it gives it a fairly buttery taste. There does not seem to be any meat or egg in it. The butter taste is not really my preference for fried rice, but I'm sure there are others who like this. The had mini pancakes for $1.75 and we had it to try and I think it might be a cornbread pancake but I forgot to ask if that was the case. The texture of the pancake wasn't rubbery. I hate pancakes that are rubbery. It seems their Acai Bowls sell out fast. We tried to order one and they were out. We came here after walking with the Honolulu Marathon Clinic. I ordered the fried rice w/ Kim chee, which had a kick to the flavor, and a fascinating texture that's different from other fried rice dishes I've had. It's moist and comes topped with bits and pieces of vegetable toppings. I was unable to eat all of it so packed it up to take home. The next dish I tried was the turtle pancake (intended for keiki). As an artist, this caught my eye. It tasted delicious and was very kawaii! Lastly, I ordered the plantation iced tea, and it was good! However the music is too loud so I would not choose this location to work if you have to get on a call. Cappuccino - terrible (to the point that we cannot even finish a half of it). We only tastes milk. Because the cappuccino from Ars cafe next door was so good, we regretted trying this one for our second cup. I did street parking instead that's nearby, which was fine, since i got to walk my dog and let him use the bathroom before we go in. The place itself is very cute and open and colorful. The service and staff were friendly! The coffee was refillable so that was nice. Gave it a little diner feel. So many great places along this short stretch, and for a while now, when I would walk/drive past this place I thought it was cute but for some reason didn't think that the food would be good.
