I absolutely loved my taro matcha latte, and while it was fantastic, I think the taro really made it unique so if I come back, I'd love to try the taro latte straight up! Parking is very very limited but you can park across the street mall parking garage. The vibe is a bit loud as it is very kid friendly and everyone seems to be here for the Uber Pancake. Don't let all the sauce deceive you into thinking it's just a box pancake mix with a lot of food dye. Also, it appears to be really sweet with it all coated in purple. But, TRUST ME. It was love at first bite. I nearly finished it all by myself but decide to share with the fam. The coconutty sweet potato taste was legit and natural tasting vs covering your tongue in an artificial taste. Absolutely looooooved this that when I went back home in search of Ube pancakes, there was none. So during this trip back for the 4th, I needed to go back for those pancakes. This time, there was no wait. It was around 1:30 on a random Monday and we were seated right away. I already knew what I wanted (obviously) but Hubs read my mind and ordered the short rib kalbi benny (as they were sold out of their corned beef hash). The food is always phenomenal. And with that fact, it tends to get very crowded so get on the Yelp waitlist prior to arriving on weekends or other prime times. The service is quick and always ready to assist and the food comes out even quicker. The decor and ambience is very local brunch themed especially the matching aloha print of all the servers which I love. However it does get very crowded so the volume in the restaurant is relatively on the louder side. For smaller parties I might recommend asking for a table near the walls or corners but for big parties they tend to place you in the center. My first time trying YogurStory! I know, I know, kind of sad this place has been around for a while. I've heard good things about them, but never actually had a chance to try them until recently. We came here for brunch, and ordered the eggs Benedict. One was the classic eggs Benedict with fried rice. The other was the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. Food was very good. I was surprised at the quality of the egg Benedict. We had also ordered hot coffee and an iced coffee. Service was a bit slow. Iced coffee was brought out, but nobody brought out my hot coffee. Our food then arrived, but we weren't given any utensils in which to eat it and it took a while to flag down our waitress for us to get utensils as we stared hungrily at our food. Atmosphere is a casual diner type feel, but was clean. Note this place gets busy very quickly. We went to YogurStory for breakfast around 8:20 am and shortly after that it got very busy with customers. I had the simple breakfast which included 2 choices of meat, eggs and a starch I ordered bacon, Portuguese sausage, scrambled eggs and hash browns, I thought it would be fresh hash browns from the grill, not pre-made hash browns like McDonald's, even though it was better then McDonald's and it was nice and crispy. My wife had the classic breakfast with 1 choice of meat, egg, and pancakes or French toast she had the pancakes, which she commented I could have made it better? Everyone else around us were eating Ube pancakes, I guess that is the specialty because their pancakes look fluffy as my wife pancakes was pretty flat. But if you don't mind walking, Walmart parking is right across the street. The ube pancakes is probably the most popular on the menu. But this time my son wanted to try the ube waffles. I recently went and there was a half hour wait so went to the look at the new businesses across the street in the old Ross to kill time. There was 3 of us so went shared the ube pancakes, and each got our own dishes of prime rib loco moco, kalua pig eggs benedict, and kalbi kimchi fried rice. I got to sample all and they were all good! I'd get any of those again. I did take off a star as the bathroom was not in good condition. The soap dispenser was not on the wall and sitting in the counter, non-functioning so no one could really wash their hands.
