I have been here a few times and it has not once been a disappointing experience. The 5-star show is the Ube Pancakes. The five-layered fluffy pancakes smothered in Ube cream is worth every hype. You may think it's super sweet, but it has the perfect balance and not too sweet at all. I would definitely come here just for this. We also ordered the Spinach Mushroom Omelette with a side of hash browns and salad and it was seasoned well and I have no complaints of the flavors. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is the service. You have to put your name in a waiting list, which we did, but once we were sat, our server didn't come for about 15 minutes. My friend found this place off of TikTok and I'm pretty confident this became my favorite meal of our entire Oahu trip. My partner got the pork belly oinker which included the most melt-in-your mouth lechon kawali, with savory garlic fried rice, and eggs any way. I got the veggie omelet with house potatoes and asparagus since at this point in our trip I felt extremely veggie deficient. My first time trying YogurStory! I know, I know, kind of sad this place has been around for a while. I've heard good things about them, but never actually had a chance to try them until recently. We came here for brunch, and ordered the eggs Benedict. One was the classic eggs Benedict with fried rice. The other was the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. Food was very good. Our food then arrived, but we weren't given any utensils in which to eat it and it took a while to flag down our waitress for us to get utensils as we stared hungrily at our food. Contrary to what one might understandably assume from the eatery's name, YogurStory is no longer a simple yogurt shoppe. In fact, on the day of our visit, I didn't see any yogurt listed in the menu offerings. They have, though, become a beloved destination for both locals and visitors alike as one of Honolulu's hottest breakfast/brunch Asian bistros. Nestled in the heart of Honolulu, although the restaurant offers free parking in their on-site lot, spaces are limited and tend to fill up quickly, so be prepared to wait for something to free up or to opt for metered parking on surrounding streets. The venue's spacious interior welcomes guests to a brightly lit and clean space for dining. YogurStory's menu serves aloha fusion fare, blending Hawaiian flavours with Asian-inspired twists. Creative dishes are crafted to enchant the palate with delectable dishes as well as dazzle the eyes with artful presentations with vibrantly colourful touches. From the first glance to the last bite, offerings are a feast for every sense. Below are what we ordered: Eddy, Michelle and I started with indulgent caffeinated iced drinks from the espresso bar section of the menu; 2 taro lattes ($5.75 each), one regular and another with a milk alternative like oat or soy milk, and macadamia nut latte ($6.25). Got our pancakes, a side of hash brown, a side of Portuguese sausage and went home. Each pancake order came with 3 pancakes: big pancakes that I was only able to finish half, it all came with two generous jars of Ube pancake sauce, sweet but not too sweet. We really enjoyed the Ube pancakes. It was soft, moist, and when you pour on the Ube sauce. It was thick and creamy sweet...really hit the spot. Hawaiian Loco Moco (5/5): Huge portion with a patty that weighs close to a pound. Juicy, savory, and paired perfectly with over easy eggs and a rich house-made brown gravy with hints of red wine and garlic. Fried Rice Upgrade (3/5): Paid an extra $4 expecting the House Special fried rice with bacon, kalua pork, Portuguese sausage, and egg, but mine seemed to be missing most of those proteins. Still had a strong garlic flavor that I enjoyed, but didn't match expectations. Corned Beef Hash Benedict (5/5): One of the best I've had. Our waitress was so nice and patient with us, made the experience that much better. We tried their most popular items which was the Ube Pancakes drenched in Ube sauce. Super good, cannot recommend that dish enough. We also tried the Short Rib loco moco, so instead of a burger patty, it's short rib. It was so well worth it. OMG mouthwatering. It was so good. If you look at the other food we ordered, Pork Belly Oinker with Scrambled Eggs, that egg came out just how I ordered it but it came out a little different... but it's okayyy... To satisfy our savory buds, we also had Pork Belly Oinker with Scrambled Eggs. The meat is soft but it can be a little more softer as it didn't really melt in our mouth. The pork fat was a bit too difficult to chew...maybe let's have it cooked longer? To clean our palate from savory...we opted for the West Hollywood Waffles. This is YUMMMMMMMM!!! Don't forget to get one for you, the next time you visit Yogurstory. I love the Oreo with the chocolate combination. We also made sure to have the Ube Waffles. I can taste the coconut and I like the mochi waffle bites but I honestly can't taste any Ube! There's no Ube but definitely love the purple color! I think they should remake their Ube and consider adding actual Ube to call it Ube...just my personal opinion. Hmmm I'm giving them a 5 stars this time because of Lyn, our server. She is friendly, quick and superrr attentive to us and from what we observe as she serves other customers. This restaurant is located in one of the most iconic places on Keeaumoku St...the site of the old Like Like Drive Inn. The service was excellent, and you HAVE to try the Ube waffles or pancakes. Not too sweet, so it goes great with coffee or something more savory. The Omurice dish is not like the ones you see on the videos, but it is good nonetheless. The ube aloha French toast was pretty good. I would say the bread of the French toast itself was great - eggy and fluffy in all the best ways. DEFINITELY put some of the salted butter on it to balance out the sweetness from everything else. The ube sauce is pretty sweet and comes on the side which is perfect for titrating for your desired sweetness. The berries themselves were a bit sour - maybe not in season. The other dishes at our table were good too - eggs and kalbi and bae eggs benedict. Service was just ok- our server was neither warm nor notable. Ambiance was not busy at all for a Tuesday late morning. Parking lot is a very small lot but we got lucky. read more

oh it's been so long since I came here, friends landed just this morning and wanted to come here. Joined waitlist while driving here and sat right when we walked in. Our server Lyn was unenthusiastic about being there which kinda brings down the mood. Once she sat us, didn't come back with waters until 10 mins later, and didn't take orders for another 10 mins after that. Ordered an ice coffee with simple syrup on the side, she points at the maple syrup and said quote on quote "that's the only syrup we have here". I was so flabbergasted, flat out denied my request, does not put a single effort to go to the bar and maybe ask if there's simple syrup? I personally walked up to the bar and asked the bartender my self, which he was very nice and kind. He gave me a shot worth on Simple syrup like. That's all I asked for. Once the food came out, (ran by food runners, not the server), she did a "drive-by Check up" what we called it cause it was hilarious. She was walking by our table while asking us how's everything and did not even give me a chance to talk. what's the point of asking if you weren't gonna listen? Ridiculous SERVICE: 0/5 HORRIBLE SERVICE FOOD: 3/5 Decent food, takes a while to come out, and when it did, it was lukewarm/ room temp. I would like my gravy hot and steak will warm. Taste is okay, but the rice is really hard, like a little undercooked. AMBIANCE: 2/5 The server Lyn really brought down the mood and expectations but the bartender and food runners deserve better. I hope Management sees this review and Corrects what needs to be done to have a better experience for everyone (staff and guests) Parking is free but limited and tight so be careful. They have so many good options, it was hard to pick just one. Ended up ordering the Ube Pancake to go. The waffles was crispy. The two sauce it came was was flavorful and delicious. I'd say, I'm a fan! Can't wait to go back and try their Ube Pancakes! Decided against it this time because Pancakes to go didn't seem as appetizing. Will definitely have to wait till I have time for a sit down breakfast for that. Lines are long outside. I like how they individually packaged the sauces so it doesn't get soggy.
